Daran haben wir die Liebe erkannt, daß er sein Leben für uns hingegeben hat; so sind nun auch wir verpflichtet, das Leben für die Brüder hinzugeben.

En esto hemos conocido el amor, porque él puso su vida por nosotros: también nosotros debemos poner nuestras vidas por los hermanos.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
