Chiunque fa il peccato, è dal Diavolo; poichè il Diavolo pecca dal principio; per questo è apparito il Figliuol di Dio, acciocchè disfaccia le opere del Diavolo.

El que hace pecado, es del diablo; porque el diablo peca desde el principio. Para esto apareció el Hijo de Dios, para deshacer las obras del diablo.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.
