Sehet, welch eine Liebe hat uns der Vater erzeiget, daß wir Gottes Kinder sollen heilien! Darum kennet euch die Welt nicht, denn sie kennet ihn nicht.

MIRAD cuál amor nos ha dado el Padre, que seamos llamados hijos de Dios: por esto el mundo no nos conoce, porque no le conoce á él.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.

Meine Lieben, wirsind nun Gottes Kinder, und ist noch nicht erschienen, was wir sein werden. Wir wissen aber, wenn es erscheinen wird, daß wir ihm gleich sein werden; denn wir werden ihn sehen, wie er ist.

Muy amados, ahora somos hijos de Dios, y aun no se ha manifestado lo que hemos de ser; pero sabemos que cuando él apareciere, seremos semejantes á él, porque le veremos como él es.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.

Und ein jeglicher, der solche Hoffnung hat zu ihm, der reiniget sich, gleichwie er auch rein ist.

Y cualquiera que tiene esta esperanza en él, se purifica, como él también es limpio.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

Wer Sunde tut, der tut auch Unrecht; und die Sünde ist das Unrecht.

Cualquiera que hace pecado, traspasa también la ley; pues el pecado es transgresión de la ley.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.

Und ihr wisset, daß er ist erschienen, auf daß er unsere Sunden wegnehme; und ist keine Sünde in ihm.

Y sabéis que él apareció para quitar nuestros pecados, y no hay pecado en él.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and no sin is in him.

Wer in ihm bleibet, der sundiget nicht; wer da sundiget, der hat ihn nicht gesehen noch erkannt.

Cualquiera que permanece en él, no peca; cualquiera que peca, no le ha visto, ni le ha conocido.

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Whoever remains in him doesn’t sin. Whoever sins hasn’t seen him and doesn’t know him.

Kindlein, lasset euch niemand verfuhren! Wer recht tut, der ist gerecht, gleichwie er gerecht ist.

Hijitos, no os engañe ninguno: el que hace justicia, es justo, como él también es justo.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

Little children, let no one lead you astray. He who does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

Wer Sünde tut, der ist vom Teufel; denn der Teufel sundiget von Anfang. Dazu ist erschienen der Sohn Gottes, daß er die Werke des Teufels zerstore.

El que hace pecado, es del diablo; porque el diablo peca desde el principio. Para esto apareció el Hijo de Dios, para deshacer las obras del diablo.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Wer aus Gott geboren ist, der tut nicht Sunde; denn sein Same bleibet bei ihm, und kann nicht sündigen; denn er ist von Gott geboren.

Cualquiera que es nacido de Dios, no hace pecado, porque su simiente está en él; y no puede pecar, porque es nacido de Dios.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him, and he can’t sin, because he is born of God.

Daran wird's offenbar, welche die Kinder Gottes und die Kinder des Teufels sind. Wer nicht recht tut, der ist nicht von Gott, und wer nicht seinen Bruder liebhat.

En esto son manifiestos los hijos de Dios, y los hijos del diablo: cualquiera que no hace justicia, y que no ama á su hermano, no es de Dios.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.

Denn das ist die Botschaft, die ihr gehoret habt von Anfang, daß wir uns untereinander lieben sollen.

Porque este es el mensaje que habéis oído desde el principio: Que nos amemos unos á otros.

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another—

Nicht wie Kain, der von dem Argen war und erwurgete seinen Bruder. Und warum erwurgete er ihn? Dali seine Werke bose waren und seines Binders gerecht.

No como Caín, que era del maligno, y mató á su hermano. ¿Y por qué causa le mató? Porque sus obras eran malas, y las de su hermano justas.

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

unlike Cain, who was of the evil one and killed his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

Verwundert euch nicht, meine Bruder, ob euch die Welt hasset!

Hermanos míos, no os maravilléis si el mundo os aborrece.

Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Don’t be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.

Wir wissen, daß wir aus dem Tode in das Leben kommen sind; denn wir lieben die Bruder. Wer den Bruder nicht liebet, der bleibet im Tode.

Nosotros sabemos que hemos pasado de muerte á vida, en que amamos á los hermanos. El que no ama á su hermano, está en muerte.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death.

Wer seinen Bruder hasset, der ist ein Totschlager; und ihrwisset, daß ein Totschlager nicht hat das ewige Leben bei ihm bleibend.

Cualquiera que aborrece á su hermano, es homicida; y sabéis que ningún homicida tiene vida eterna permaneciente en sí.

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.

Daran haben wir erkannt die Liebe, daß er sein Leben fur uns gelassen hat; und wir sollen auch das Leben fur die Bruder lassen.

En esto hemos conocido el amor, porque él puso su vida por nosotros: también nosotros debemos poner nuestras vidas por los hermanos.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

Wenn aber jemand dieser Welt Guter hat und siehet seinen Bruder darben und schlielit sein Herz vor ihm zu: wie bleibet die Liebe Gottes bei ihm?

Mas el que tuviere bienes de este mundo, y viere á su hermano tener necesidad, y le cerrare sus entrañas, ¿cómo está el amor de Dios en él?

But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?

Meine Kindlein, lasset uns nicht lieben mit Worten noch mit der Zunge, sondern mit der Tat und mit der Wahrheit.

Hijitos míos, no amemos de palabra ni de lengua, sino de obra y en verdad.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.

Daran erkennen wir, daß wir aus der Wahrheit sind, und konnen unser Herz vor ihm stillen,

Y en esto conocemos que somos de la verdad, y tenemos nuestros corazones certificados delante de él.

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

And by this we know that we are of the truth and persuade our hearts before him,

dati, so uns unser Herz verdammt, daß Gott grolier ist denn unser Herz und erkennet alle Dinge.

Porque si nuestro corazón nos reprendiere, mayor es Dios que nuestro corazón, y conoce todas las cosas.

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

Ihr Lieben, so uns unser Herz nicht verdammt, so haben wir eine Freudigkeit zu Gott;

Carísimos, si nuestro corazón no nos reprende, confianza tenemos en Dios;

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God;

und was wir bitten, werden wir von ihm nehmen; denn wir halten seine Gebote und tun, was vor ihm gefallig ist.

Y cualquier cosa que pidiéremos, la recibiremos de él, porque guardamos sus mandamientos, y hacemos las cosas que son agradables delante de él.

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

Und das ist sein Gebot, daß wir glauben an den Namen seines Sohnes Jesu Christi und lieben uns untereinander, wie er uns ein Gebot gegeben hat.

Y éste es su mandamiento: Que creamos en el nombre de su Hijo Jesucristo, y nos amemos unos á otros como nos lo ha mandado.

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he commanded.

Und wer seine Gebote halt, der bleibet in ihm und er in ihm. Und daran erkennen wir, daß er in uns bleibet: an dem Geist, den er uns gegeben hat.

Y el que guarda sus mandamientos, está en él, y él en él. Y en esto sabemos que él permanece en nosotros, por el Espíritu que nos ha dado.

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
