Sehet, welch große Liebe uns der Vater dadurch erwiesen hat, daß wir Kinder Gottes heißen sollen, und wir sind es auch. Deshalb erkennt die Welt uns nicht, weil sie ihn nicht erkannt hat.
MIRAD cuál amor nos ha dado el Padre, que seamos llamados hijos de Dios: por esto el mundo no nos conoce, porque no le conoce á él.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
Geliebte, (schon) jetzt sind wir Kinder Gottes, und es ist noch nicht offenbar geworden, was wir (dereinst) sein werden. Wir wissen jedoch, daß, wenn diese Offenbarung eintritt, wir ihm gleich sein werden; denn wir werden ihn sehen, wie er ist.
