Seht, welche (was für eine) Liebe uns der Vater geschenkt (gegeben) hat, daß wir Kinder Gottes genannt werden (werden sollen; heißen, heißen sollen) – und wir sind es auch. Deshalb kennt (erkennt) die Welt uns nicht, weil sie ihn nicht gekannt (erkannt) hat.
MIRAD cuál amor nos ha dado el Padre, que seamos llamados hijos de Dios: por esto el mundo no nos conoce, porque no le conoce á él.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
Geliebte, jetzt sind wir Kinder Gottes und es ist noch nicht sichtbar (offenbar) geworden (gemacht worden), was wir sein werden. Wir wissen, daß wir, wenn es sichtbar (offenbar; gemacht) wird (er erscheinen wird), ihm ähnlich (gleich) sein werden, weil wir ihn sehen werden, wie er ist.
Muy amados, ahora somos hijos de Dios, y aun no se ha manifestado lo que hemos de ser; pero sabemos que cuando él apareciere, seremos semejantes á él, porque le veremos como él es.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.
Und jeder, der diese Hoffnung auf ihn hat, heiligt (reinigt) sich, so wie er (jener) heilig (rein) ist.
Y cualquiera que tiene esta esperanza en él, se purifica, como él también es limpio.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Jeder, der sündigt (die Sünde tut), handelt auch gesetzwidrig (gesetzlos; tut auch die Gesetzwidrigkeit, Gesetzlosigkeit), und die Sünde ist die Gesetzwidrigkeit (Gesetzlosigkeit).
Cualquiera que hace pecado, traspasa también la ley; pues el pecado es transgresión de la ley.
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
Und Ihr wißt, dass jener erschienen ist, damit er die Sünden trägt (wegnimmt), und in ihm ist keine Sünde.
Y sabéis que él apareció para quitar nuestros pecados, y no hay pecado en él.
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Jeder, der in ihm bleibt, sündigt nicht. Jeder der sündigt, hat ihn nicht gesehen und ihn nicht erkannt.

Kinder (Kindlein), keiner soll Euch in die Irre führen (täuschen, verführen): Wer die Gerechtigkeit tut, ist gerecht, wie jener gerecht ist.
Hijitos, no os engañe ninguno: el que hace justicia, es justo, como él también es justo.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

Wer die Sünde tut, ist vom (aus dem) Teufel (Satan), denn der Teufel (Satan) sündigt von Anfang an. Dazu ist der Sohn Gottes erschienen, daß er die Werke des Teufels (Satans) zerstört.
El que hace pecado, es del diablo; porque el diablo peca desde el principio. Para esto apareció el Hijo de Dios, para deshacer las obras del diablo.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jeder, der aus Gott geboren (gezeugt) ist, sündigt nicht (tut nicht Sünde), denn sein Samen bleibt in ihm, und er kann nicht sündigen, weil er aus Gott geboren (gezeugt) ist.
Cualquiera que es nacido de Dios, no hace pecado, porque su simiente está en él; y no puede pecar, porque es nacido de Dios.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Daran (Darin) sind die Kinder Gottes erkennbar (sichtbar, offenbar) und die Kinder des Teufels (Satans): Jeder, der Gerechtigkeit nicht tut, ist nicht aus Gott, und der, der seinen Bruder nicht liebt.
En esto son manifiestos los hijos de Dios, y los hijos del diablo: cualquiera que no hace justicia, y que no ama á su hermano, no es de Dios.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.
Denn dieses ist die Botschaft, die ihr von Anfang an gehört habt, daß wir einander lieben sollen.
Porque este es el mensaje que habéis oído desde el principio: Que nos amemos unos á otros.

Nicht wie Kain, der aus dem Bösen (Schlechten) war und seinen Bruder ermordete (schlachtete). Und weshalb ermordete (schlachtete) er ihn? Weil seine Werke böse (schlecht) waren, die aber seines Bruders gerecht.
No como Caín, que era del maligno, y mató á su hermano. ¿Y por qué causa le mató? Porque sus obras eran malas, y las de su hermano justas.
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

Wir wissen, dass wir hinübergegangen sind vom (aus dem) Tod in das Leben, weil wir die Brüder lieben. Wer nicht liebt, bleibt im Tod.
Nosotros sabemos que hemos pasado de muerte á vida, en que amamos á los hermanos. El que no ama á su hermano, está en muerte.
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death.
Jeder, der seinen Bruder hasst, ist ein Mörder (Menschenmörder), und Ihr wißt, dass kein (jeder) Mörder (Menschenmörder) ewiges Leben (nicht) bleibend in sich (ihm) hat.
Cualquiera que aborrece á su hermano, es homicida; y sabéis que ningún homicida tiene vida eterna permaneciente en sí.
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.
Daran (Darin) haben wir die Liebe erkannt, dass jener für uns sein Leben (seine Seele) hingegeben (eingesetzt) hat. Auch müssen (sind verpflichtet) für die Brüder das Leben (die Seele) hinzugeben (einzusetzen).
En esto hemos conocido el amor, porque él puso su vida por nosotros: también nosotros debemos poner nuestras vidas por los hermanos.

Wenn einer (Wer) also die Lebensnotwendigkeiten (das Leben; Vermögen in) der Welt hat und er sieht seinen Bruder Not leiden (haben) und verschließt sein Herz (Innerstes) vor ihm, wie bleibt (kann, (soll)) die Liebe Gottes in ihm (bleiben)?
Mas el que tuviere bienes de este mundo, y viere á su hermano tener necesidad, y le cerrare sus entrañas, ¿cómo está el amor de Dios en él?
But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
Kinder (Kindlein), laßt uns nicht mit (einem) Wort und nicht mit der Zunge lieben, sondern in Tat und Wahrheit.
Hijitos míos, no amemos de palabra ni de lengua, sino de obra y en verdad.
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Daran (Darin) werden wir erkennen, dass wir aus der Wahrheit sind, und vor ihm (ihm gegenüber, in seiner Gegenwart) werden wir unser Herz überzeugen (beruhigen),

Geliebte, wenn das Herz uns nicht verurteilt, haben wir Zuversicht (Freimut, Offenheit, offenen Zugang) gegenüber (zu) Gott,
Carísimos, si nuestro corazón no nos reprende, confianza tenemos en Dios;
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

und was immer wir erbitten, empfangen wir von ihm, weil wir seine Gebote halten und das (vor) ihm Angenehme tun.
Y cualquier cosa que pidiéremos, la recibiremos de él, porque guardamos sus mandamientos, y hacemos las cosas que son agradables delante de él.
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Und dies ist sein Gebot, daß wir an den Namen seines Sohnes Jesus Christus glauben und einander liebern, wie er es uns als (ein) Gebot gegeben hat.
Y éste es su mandamiento: Que creamos en el nombre de su Hijo Jesucristo, y nos amemos unos á otros como nos lo ha mandado.
