Si quelqu'un dit : J'aime Dieu, et qu'il haïsse son frère, c'est un menteur ; car celui qui n'aime pas son frère, qu'il voit, ne peut aimer Dieu, qu'il ne voit pas.

Si alguno dice, Yo amo á Dios, y aborrece á su hermano, es mentiroso. Porque el que no ama á su hermano al cual ha visto, ¿cómo puede amar á Dios á quien no ha visto?

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
