Ihr Lieben, glaubet nicht einem jeglichen Geist, sondern prufet die Geister, ob sie von Gott sind; denn es sind viel falsche Propheten ausgegangen in die Welt.

AMADOS, no creáis á todo espíritu, sino probad los espíritus si son de Dios: porque muchos falsos profetas son salidos en el mundo.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Daran sollt ihr den Geist Gottes erkennen: Ein jeglicher Geist, der da bekennet, daß Jesus Christus ist in das Fleisch kommen, der ist von Gott;

En esto conoced el Espíritu de Dios: todo espíritu que confiesa que Jesucristo es venido en carne es de Dios:

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

und ein jeglicher Geist, der da nicht bekennet, daß Jesus Christus ist in das Fleisch kommen, der ist nicht von Gott. Und das ist der Geist des Widerchrists, von welchem ihr habt gehoret, daß er kommen werde, und ist jetzt schon in der Welt.

Y todo espíritu que no confiesa que Jesucristo es venido en carne, no es de Dios: y éste es el espíritu del anticristo, del cual vosotros habéis oído que ha de venir, y que ahora ya está en el mundo.

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

and every spirit who doesn’t confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God; and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.

Kindlein, ihrseid von Gott und habtjene überwunden; denn der in euch ist, ist grolier, denn der in der Welt ist.

Hijitos, vosotros sois de Dios, y los habéis vencido; porque el que en vosotros está, es mayor que el que está en el mundo.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Sie sind von der Welt; darum reden sie von der Welt, und die Welt horet sie.

Ellos son del mundo; por eso hablan del mundo, y el mundo los oye.

They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

Wir sind von Gott, und wer Gott erkennet, der horet uns; welcher nicht von Gott ist, der horet uns nicht. Daran erkennen wir den Geist der Wahrheit und den Geist des Irrtums.

Nosotros somos de Dios: el que conoce á Dios, nos oye: el que no es de Dios, no nos oye. Por esto conocemos el espíritu de verdad y el espíritu de error.

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn’t listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Ihr Lieben, lasset uns untereinander liebhaben; denn die Liebe ist von Gott; und wer liebhat, der ist von Gott geboren und kennet Gott.

Carísimos, amémonos unos á otros; porque el amor es de Dios. Cualquiera que ama, es nacido de Dios, y conoce á Dios.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

Wer nicht liebhat, der kennet Gott nicht; denn Gott ist die Liebe:

El que no ama, no conoce á Dios; porque Dios es amor.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.

Daran ist erschienen die Liebe Gottes gegen uns, daß Gott seinen eingebornen Sohn gesandt hat in die Welt, daß wir durch ihn leben sollen.

En esto se mostró el amor de Dios para con nosotros, en que Dios envió á su Hijo unigénito al mundo, para que vivamos por él.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his only born Son into the world that we might live through him.

Darinnen stehet die Liebe, nicht daß wir Gott geliebet haben, sondern dad er uns geliebet hat und gesandt seinen Sohn zur Versohnung fur unsere Sünden.

En esto consiste el amor: no que nosotros hayamos amado á Dios, sino que él nos amó á nosotros, y ha enviado á su Hijo en propiciación por nuestros pecados.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Ihr Lieben, hat uns Gottalso geliebet, sosollen wir uns auch untereinander lieben.

Amados, si Dios así nos ha amado, debemos también nosotros amarnos unos á otros.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.

Niemand hatßottjemals gesehen. So wir uns untereinander lieben, so bleibet Gott in uns, und seine Liebe ist vollig in uns.

Ninguno vió jamás á Dios. Si nos amamos unos á otros, Dios está en nosotros, y su amor es perfecto en nosotros:

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.

Daran erkennen wir, daß wir in ihm bleiben und er in uns, dad er uns von seinem Geist gegeben hat.

En esto conocemos que estamos en él, y él en nosotros, en que nos ha dado de su Espíritu.

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

Und wir haben gesehen und zeugen, dad der Vater den Sohn gesandt hat zum Heiland der Welt.

Y nosotros hemos visto y testificamos que el Padre ha enviado al Hijo para ser Salvador del mundo.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.

Welcher nun bekennet, dad Jesus Gottes Sohn ist, in dem bleibet Gott und er in Gott.

Cualquiera que confesare que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios, Dios está en él, y él en Dios.

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.

Und wir haben erkannt und geglaubet die Liebe, die Gott zu uns hat. Gott ist die Liebe; und wer in der Liebe bleibet, der bleibet in Gott und Gott in ihm.

Y nosotros hemos conocido y creído el amor que Dios tiene para con nosotros. Dios es amor; y el que vive en amor, vive en Dios, y Dios en él.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

Daran ist die Liebe vollig bei uns, auf dad wir eine Freudigkeit haben am Tage des Gerichts; denn gleichwie er ist, so sind auch wir in dieser Welt.

En esto es perfecto el amor con nosotros, para que tengamos confianza en el día del juicio; pues como él es, así somos nosotros en este mundo.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

In this, love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so we are in this world.

Furcht ist nicht in der Liebe, sondern die vollige Liebe treibet die Furcht aus; denn die Furcht hat Pein. Wer sich aber furchtet, der ist nicht vollig in der Liebe.

En amor no hay temor; mas el perfecto amor echa fuera el temor: porque el temor tiene pena. De donde el que teme, no está perfecto en el amor.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

Lasset uns ihn lieben; denn er hat uns erst geliebet.

Nosotros le amamos á él, porque él nos amó primero.

We love him, because he first loved us.

So jemand spricht: Ich liebe Gott, und hasset seinen Bruder, der ist ein Lugner; denn wer seinen Bruder nicht liebet, den er siehet, wie kann er Gott lieben, den er nicht siehet?

Si alguno dice, Yo amo á Dios, y aborrece á su hermano, es mentiroso. Porque el que no ama á su hermano al cual ha visto, ¿cómo puede amar á Dios á quien no ha visto?

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

Und dies Gebot haben wir von ihm, dad, wer Gott liebet, dad der auch seinen Bruder liebe.

Y nosotros tenemos este mandamiento de él: Que el que ama á Dios, ame también á su hermano.

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
