Ed ogni spirito, che non confessa Gesù Cristo venuto in carne, non è da Dio; e quello è lo spirito d'anticristo, il quale voi avete udito dover venire; ed ora egli è già nel mondo.
Y todo espíritu que no confiesa que Jesucristo es venido en carne, no es de Dios: y éste es el espíritu del anticristo, del cual vosotros habéis oído que ha de venir, y que ahora ya está en el mundo.
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Chi non ama non ha conosciuto Iddio; poichè Iddio è carità.

In questo si è manifestata la carità di Dio inverso noi: che Iddio ha mandato il suo Unigenito nel mondo, acciocchè per lui viviamo.
En esto se mostró el amor de Dios para con nosotros, en que Dios envió á su Hijo unigénito al mundo, para que vivamos por él.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Per questo conosciamo che dimoriamo in lui, ed egli in noi: perciocchè egli ci ha donato del suo Spirito.

E noi abbiam conosciuta, e creduta la carità che Iddio ha inverso noi. Iddio è carità; e chi dimora nella carità, dimora in Dio, e Iddio dimora in lui.
Y nosotros hemos conocido y creído el amor que Dios tiene para con nosotros. Dios es amor; y el que vive en amor, vive en Dios, y Dios en él.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

In questo è compiuta la carità inverso noi (acciocchè abbiamo confidanza nel giorno del giudicio): che quale egli è, tali siamo ancor noi in questo mondo.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

E questo comandamento abbiam da lui: che chi ama Iddio, ami ancora il suo fratello.
Y nosotros tenemos este mandamiento de él: Que el que ama á Dios, ame también á su hermano.
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
