Si creen ustedes que Jesús es el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios y el Salvador, ustedes son hijos de Dios. Y el que ama al padre ama también a los hijos.
TODO aquel que cree que Jesús es el Cristo, es nacido de Dios: y cualquiera que ama al que ha engendrado, ama también al que es nacido de él.
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Así que podemos medir el amor que sentimos hacia los hijos de Dios, hermanos nuestros en la fe, por el amor que sentimos hacia Dios y la obediencia que le rendimos.
En esto conocemos que amamos á los hijos de Dios, cuando amamos á Dios, y guardamos sus mandamientos.

porque el que es hijo de Dios puede vencer el pecado y las inclinaciones al mal, confiando en la ayuda que Cristo puede ofrecerle.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

¡Nadie podrá jamás vencer en esta lucha sin creer que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios!
¿Quién es el que vence al mundo, sino el que cree que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios?
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Nosotros sabemos que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios porque Dios lo proclamó con gran voz desde el cielo en el momento en que lo bautizaban y también cuando moría. ¡No sólo en su bautismo sino también a la hora de su muerte! Y el Espíritu Santo, siempre veraz, lo afirma también.
Este es Jesucristo, que vino por agua y sangre: no por agua solamente, sino por agua y sangre. Y el Espíritu es el que da testimonio: porque el Espíritu es la verdad.

Porque tres son los que dan testimonio en el cielo, el Padre, el Verbo, y el Espíritu Santo: y estos tres son uno.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Así que tenemos tres testimonios: la voz del Espíritu Santo en nuestros corazones, la voz que habló desde el cielo cuando bautizaban a Jesús, y la voz que habló poco antes de su muerte. Y todos afirman lo mismo: que Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios.
Y tres son los que dan testimonio en la tierra, el Espíritu, y el agua, y la sangre: y estos tres concuerdan en uno.
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Y si aceptamos el testimonio de los hombres que comparecen ante los tribunales, cuánto más no hemos de creer la gran afirmación de Dios: ¡que Jesús es su Hijo!

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

Creer esto es aceptar este testimonio en lo más íntimo del corazón; no creerlo equivale a llamar mentiroso a Dios, pues es no creer lo que él ha dicho acerca de su Hijo.
El que cree en el Hijo de Dios, tiene el testimonio en sí mismo: el que no cree á Dios, le ha hecho mentiroso; porque no ha creído en el testimonio que Dios ha testificado de su Hijo.
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who doesn’t believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning his Son.
¿Y qué es lo que ha dicho? Que nos ha dado vida eterna, y que esta vida está en su Hijo.
Y este es el testimonio: Que Dios nos ha dado vida eterna; y esta vida está en su Hijo.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Así que el que tiene al Hijo de Dios tiene la vida; el que no tiene al Hijo, no tiene la vida.

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.
A ustedes, que creen en el Hijo de Dios, les he escrito sobre estas cosas para que sepan que tienen la vida eterna.
Estas cosas he escrito á vosotros que creéis en el nombre del Hijo de Dios, para que sepáis que tenéis vida eterna, y para que creáis en el nombre del Hijo de Dios.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
Y estamos seguros de que él nos escuchará cuando le pidamos algo que esté de acuerdo con su voluntad.
Y esta es la confianza que tenemos en él, que si demandáremos alguna cosa conforme á su voluntad, él nos oye.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
Y si sabemos que él nos oye cuando le hablamos y cuando le presentamos nuestras peticiones, podemos estar seguros de que nos contestará.
Y si sabemos que él nos oye en cualquiera cosa que demandáremos, sabemos que tenemos las peticiones que le hubiéremos demandado.
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
Si ven que un hermano comete un pecado que no es mortal, pidan a Dios que lo perdone, y Dios le dará vida, si es cierto que su pecado no es mortal. Pero hay un pecado que sí es mortal, por el cual no digo que se pida.
Si alguno viere cometer á su hermano pecado no de muerte, demandará, y se le dará vida; digo á los que pecan no de muerte. Hay pecado de muerte, por el cual yo no digo que ruegue.
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I don’t say that he should make a request concerning this.
Cualquier maldad es pecado, pero no me refiero a los pecados ordinarios. Me refiero al pecado mortal.
Toda maldad es pecado; mas hay pecado no de muerte.
All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.
Nadie que forme parte de la familia de Dios peca de manera habitual, porque Cristo, el Hijo de Dios, lo tiene bien agarrado y el diablo no puede echarle mano.
Sabemos que cualquiera que es nacido de Dios, no peca; mas el que es engendrado de Dios, se guarda á sí mismo, y el maligno no le toca.
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn’t touch him.
Sabemos que somos hijos de Dios. El mundo que nos rodea está bajo el dominio de Satanás,

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
pero sabemos que Cristo, el Hijo de Dios, vino a ayudarnos a hallar y entender al Dios verdadero. Ahora estamos en Dios, porque estamos en su Hijo Jesucristo, que es también Dios verdadero y la vida eterna.
Empero sabemos que el Hijo de Dios es venido, y nos ha dado entendimiento para conocer al que es verdadero: y estamos en el verdadero, en su Hijo Jesucristo. Este es el verdadero Dios, y la vida eterna.
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
