King Solomon loved many foreign women: the daughter of Pharaoh, Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, Hittite;

EMPERO el rey Salomón amó, á más de la hija de Faraón, muchas mujeres extranjeras: á las de Moab, á las de Ammón, á las de Idumea, á las de Sidón, y á las Hetheas;

But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;

from the nations which Yahweh had said to the ⌞Israelites⌟, “You shall not ⌞marry them⌟, and they shall not ⌞marry you⌟. They will certainly turn your heart after other gods.” But Solomon clung to them to love.

Gentes de las cuales Jehová había dicho á los hijos de Israel: No entraréis á ellas, ni ellas entrarán á vosotros; porque ciertamente harán inclinar vuestros corazones tras sus dioses. A éstas pues se juntó Salomón con amor.

Y ya que Salomón era viejo, sus mujeres inclinaron su corazón tras dioses ajenos; y su corazón no era perfecto con Jehová su Dios, como el corazón de su padre David.

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

At that time, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, on the mountain which ⌞faces⌟ Jerusalem and for Molech, the abomination of the ⌞Ammonites⌟.

Entonces edificó Salomón un alto á Chêmos, abominación de Moab, en el monte que está enfrente de Jerusalem; y á Moloch, abominación de los hijos de Ammón.

Yahweh was angry with Solomon, for he had turned his heart from Yahweh, the God of Israel who had appeared to him twice.

Y enojóse Jehová contra Salomón, por cuanto estaba su corazón desviado de Jehová Dios de Israel, que le había aparecido dos veces,

And he had commanded him concerning this matter not to go after other gods, but he did not keep that which Yahweh commanded.

So Yahweh said to Solomon, “Because this was with you, and you did not keep my covenant and my ordinances which I have commanded you, I will certainly tear the kingdom from you, and I will give it to your servant.

Y dijo Jehová á Salomón: Por cuanto ha habido esto en ti, y no has guardado mi pacto y mis estatutos que yo te mandé, romperé el reino de ti, y lo entregaré á tu siervo.

Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, “Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

However, I will not do it in your days, for the sake of David your father; from the hand of your son I will tear it away.

Empero no lo haré en tus días, por amor de David tu padre: romperélo de la mano de tu hijo.

Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father’s sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

Nevertheless, I will not do it in your days, for David your father’s sake; but I will tear it out of your son’s hand.

Yet all of the kingdom I will not tear away. I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of my servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.”

Then Yahweh raised an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite, from the descendants of that king in Edom.

Y Jehová suscitó un adversario á Salomón, á Adad, Idumeo, de la sangre real, el cual estaba en Edom.

And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom.

It had happened that when David was at Edom, Joab the commander of the army went up to bury the slain, and he killed every male in Edom.

God had also raised Rezon the son of Eliada as an adversary against him, who had fled from Hadadezer the king of Zobah, his master.

And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, which fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:

He gathered men around him and he became the commander of bandits. When David killed some of them, they went to Damascus and settled ⌞there⌟, and they reigned in Damascus.

Asimismo Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, Ephrateo de Sereda, siervo de Salomón, (su madre se llamaba Serva, mujer viuda) alzó su mano contra el rey.

And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon’s servant, whose mother’s name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against the king.

But I will take the kingship from the hand of his son, and I will give ten tribes to you.

And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.

I will punish the offspring of David on account of this; however, not always.’ ”

Then Solomon sought to kill Jeroboam, but Jeroboam got up and fled to Egypt, to Shishak the king of Egypt, and he remained in Egypt until the death of Solomon.

Procuró por tanto Salomón de matar á Jeroboam, pero levantándose Jeroboam, huyó á Egipto, á Sisac rey de Egipto, y estuvo en Egipto hasta la muerte de Salomón.
