Or il re Salomone, oltre la figliuola di Faraone, amò molte donne straniere: delle Moabite, delle Ammonite, delle Idumee, delle Sidonie, delle Hittee,

EMPERO el rey Salomón amó, á más de la hija de Faraón, muchas mujeres extranjeras: á las de Moab, á las de Ammón, á las de Idumea, á las de Sidón, y á las Hetheas;

But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;

Now King Solomon loved many foreign women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites,

donne appartenenti ai popoli dei quali l’Eterno avea detto al figliuoli d’Israele: “Non andate da loro e non vengano essi da voi; poiché essi certo pervertirebbero il vostro cuore per farvi seguire i loro dèi”. A tali donne s’unì Salomone ne’ suoi amori.

Gentes de las cuales Jehová había dicho á los hijos de Israel: No entraréis á ellas, ni ellas entrarán á vosotros; porque ciertamente harán inclinar vuestros corazones tras sus dioses. A éstas pues se juntó Salomón con amor.

cosicché, al tempo della vecchiaia di Salomone, le sue mogli gl’inclinarono il cuore verso altri dèi; e il cuore di lui non appartenne tutto quanto all’Eterno, al suo Dio, come avea fatto il cuore di Davide suo padre.

Y ya que Salomón era viejo, sus mujeres inclinaron su corazón tras dioses ajenos; y su corazón no era perfecto con Jehová su Dios, como el corazón de su padre David.

Fu allora che Salomone costruì, sul monte che sta dirimpetto a Gerusalemme, un alto luogo per Kemosh, l’abominazione di Moab, e per Molec, l’abominazione dei figliuoli di Ammon.

E fece così per tutte le sue donne straniere, le quali offrivano profumi e sacrifizi ai loro dèi.

E l’Eterno s’indignò contro Salomone, perché il cuor di lui s’era alienato dall’Eterno, dall’Iddio d’Israele, che gli era apparito due volte,

Y enojóse Jehová contra Salomón, por cuanto estaba su corazón desviado de Jehová Dios de Israel, que le había aparecido dos veces,

e gli aveva ordinato, a questo proposito, di non andar dietro ad altri dèi; ma egli non osservò l’ordine datogli dall’Eterno.

And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

E l’Eterno disse a Salomone: “Giacché tu hai agito a questo modo, e non hai osservato il mio patto e le leggi che t’avevo date, io ti strapperò di dosso il reame, e lo darò al tuo servo.

Y dijo Jehová á Salomón: Por cuanto ha habido esto en ti, y no has guardado mi pacto y mis estatutos que yo te mandé, romperé el reino de ti, y lo entregaré á tu siervo.

Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, “Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

Nondimeno, per amor di Davide tuo padre, io non lo farò te vivente, ma lo strapperò dalle mani del tuo figliuolo.

Empero no lo haré en tus días, por amor de David tu padre: romperélo de la mano de tu hijo.

Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father’s sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.

L’Eterno suscitò un nemico a Salomone: Hadad, l’Idumeo, ch’era della stirpe reale di Edom.

Y Jehová suscitó un adversario á Salomón, á Adad, Idumeo, de la sangre real, el cual estaba en Edom.

And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom.

Quando Davide sconfisse Edom, e Joab, capo dell’esercito, salì per seppellire i morti, e uccise tutti i maschi che erano in Edom;

questo Hadad fuggì con alcuni Idumei, servi di suo padre, per andare in Egitto. Hadad era allora un giovinetto.

Hadad entrò talmente nelle grazie di Faraone, che questi gli diede per moglie la sorella della propria moglie, la sorella della regina Tahpenes.

Or quando Hadad ebbe sentito in Egitto che Davide s’era addormentato coi suoi padri e che Joab, capo dell’esercito, era morto, disse a Faraone: “Dammi licenza ch’io me ne vada al mio paese”.

E Faraone gli rispose: “Che ti manca da me perché tu cerchi d’andartene al tuo paese?” E quegli replicò: “Nulla; nondimeno, ti prego, lasciami partire”.

Y respondióle Faraón: ¿Por qué? ¿qué te falta conmigo, que procuras irte á tu tierra? Y él respondió: Nada; con todo, ruégote que me dejes ir.

Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.

Then Pharaoh said to him, “But what have you lacked with me, that behold, you seek to go to your own country?” He answered, “Nothing, however only let me depart.”

Iddio suscitò un altro nemico a Salomone: Rezon, figliuolo d’Eliada, ch’era fuggito dal suo signore Hadadezer, re di Tsoba.

Despertóle también Dios por adversario á Rezón, hijo de Eliada, el cual había huído de su amo Adad-ezer, rey de Soba.

And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, which fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:

Ed egli avea radunato gente intorno a sé ed era diventato capo banda, quando Davide massacrò i Siri. Egli ed i suoi andarono a Damasco, vi si stabilirono, e regnarono in Damasco.

Y había juntado gente contra él, y habíase hecho capitán de una compañía, cuando David deshizo á los de Soba. Después se fueron á Damasco, y habitaron allí, é hiciéronle rey en Damasco.

And he gathered men unto him, and became captain over a band, when David slew them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.

E Rezon fu nemico d’Israele per tutto il tempo di Salomone; e questo, oltre il male già fatto da Hadad. Aborrì Israele e regnò sulla Siria.

Y fué adversario á Israel todos los días de Salomón; y fué otro mal con el de Adad, porque aborreció á Israel, y reinó sobre la Siria.

And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.

Anche Geroboamo, servo di Salomone, si ribellò contro il re. Egli era figlio di Nebat, Efrateo di Tsereda, e avea per madre una vedova che si chiamava Tserua.

Asimismo Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, Ephrateo de Sereda, siervo de Salomón, (su madre se llamaba Serva, mujer viuda) alzó su mano contra el rey.

And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon’s servant, whose mother’s name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against the king.

La causa per cui si ribellò contro il re, fu questa. Salomone costruiva Millo e chiudeva la breccia della città di Davide suo padre.

And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.

Or Geroboamo era un uomo forte a valoroso; e Salomone, veduto come questo giovine lavorava, gli diede la sorveglianza di tutta la gente della casa di Giuseppe, comandata ai lavori.

Y el varón Jeroboam era valiente y esforzado; y viendo Salomón al mancebo que era hombre activo, encomendóle todo el cargo de la casa de José.

And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.

In quel tempo avvenne che Geroboamo, essendo uscito da Gerusalemme, s’imbatté per istrada nel profeta Ahija di Scilo, che portava un mantello nuovo; ed erano loro due soli nella campagna.

Aconteció pues en aquel tiempo, que saliendo Jeroboam de Jerusalem, topóle en el camino el profeta Ahías Silonita; y él estaba cubierto con una capa nueva; y estaban ellos dos solos en el campo.

e disse a Geroboamo: “Prendine per te dieci pezzi, perché l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Israele, dice così: Ecco, io strappo questo regno dalle mani di Salomone, e te ne darò dieci tribù,

And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:

ma gli resterà una tribù per amor di Davide mio servo, e per amor di Gerusalemme, della città che ho scelta fra tutte le tribù d’Israele.

(Y él tendrá una tribu, por amor de David mi siervo, y por amor de Jerusalem, ciudad que yo he elegido de todas las tribus de Israel:)

E ciò, perché i figliuoli d’Israele m’hanno abbandonato, si sono prostrati davanti ad Astarte, divinità dei Sidoni, davanti a Kemosh, dio di Moab e davanti a Milcom, dio dei figliuoli d’Ammon, e non han camminato nelle mie vie per fare ciò ch’è giusto agli occhi miei e per osservare le mie leggi e i miei precetti, come fece Davide, padre di Salomone.

“‘However, I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes,

ma torrò il regno dalle mani del suo figliuolo, e te ne darò dieci tribù;

Mas yo quitaré el reino de la mano de su hijo, y darélo á ti, las diez tribus.

But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.

e al suo figliuolo lascerò una tribù affinché Davide, mio servo, abbia sempre una lampada davanti a me in Gerusalemme, nella città che ho scelta per mettervi il mio nome.

Y á su hijo daré una tribu, para que mi siervo David tenga lámpara todos los días delante de mí en Jerusalem, ciudad que yo me elegí para poner en ella mi nombre.

And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.

Io prenderò dunque te, e tu regnerai su tutto quello che l’anima tua desidererà, e sarai re sopra Israele.

E se tu ubbidisci a tutto quello che ti comanderò, e cammini nelle mie vie, e fai ciò ch’è giusto agli occhi miei, osservando le mie leggi e i miei comandamenti, come fece Davide mio servo, io sarò con te, ti edificherò una casa stabile, come ne edificai una a Davide, e ti darò Israele;

Y será que, si prestares oído á todas las cosas que te mandare, y anduvieres en mis caminos, é hicieres lo recto delante de mis ojos, guardando mis estatutos y mis mandamientos, como hizo David mi siervo, yo seré contigo, y te edificaré casa firme, como la edifiqué á David, y yo te entregaré á Israel.

And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.

It shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do that which is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did, that I will be with you, and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

e umilierò così la progenie di Davide, ma non per sempre”.

Perciò Salomone cercò di far morire Geroboamo; ma questi si levò e fuggì in Egitto presso Scishak, re d’Egitto, e rimase in Egitto fino alla morte di Salomone.

Procuró por tanto Salomón de matar á Jeroboam, pero levantándose Jeroboam, huyó á Egipto, á Sisac rey de Egipto, y estuvo en Egipto hasta la muerte de Salomón.

Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.

Salomone regnò a Gerusalemme, su tutto Israele, quarant’anni.
