15Y el rey no escuchó al pueblo; y esto se produjo por el propósito del Señor, de modo que lo que había dicho por medio Ahías de Silo a Jeroboam, hijo de Nebat, podría llevarse a cabo.

15Y no oyó el rey al pueblo; porque era ordenación de Jehová, para confirmar su palabra, que Jehová había hablado por medio de Ahías Silonita á Jeroboam hijo de Nabat.

15Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

15So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was a thing brought about from the LORD, that he might establish his word, which the LORD spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
