1 Reyes 12

Le dijeron ellos: Si tú, en el día, condesciendes con este pueblo, y te acomodas a él, y otorgas su petición, y le hablas con dulzura, serán para siempre vasallos tuyos.

Y ellos le hablaron, diciendo: Si tú fueres hoy siervo de este pueblo, y lo sirvieres, y respondiéndole buenas palabras les hablares, ellos te servirán para siempre.

And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.

They replied, “If you will be a servant to this people today, and will serve them, and answer them with good words, then they will be your servants forever.”
