Und er sprach zu ihnen: Geht hin noch drei Tage, dann kommt wieder zu mir. Und das Volk ging hin.

Und sie redeten zu ihm und sprachen: Wenn du heute dieses Volkes Knecht wirst und ihnen dienst und sie erhörst und gütige Worte zu ihnen redest, so werden sie deine Knechte sein alle Tage.

And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.
They replied, “If you will be a servant to this people today, and will serve them, and answer them with good words, then they will be your servants forever.”

Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was ratet ihr, dass wir diesem Volk zur Antwort geben, das zu mir geredet und gesagt hat: Erleichtere das Joch, das dein Vater auf uns gelegt hat?
Y díjoles: ¿Cómo aconsejáis vosotros que respondamos á este pueblo, que me ha hablado, diciendo: Disminuye algo del yugo que tu padre puso sobre nosotros?
And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?
He said to them, “What counsel do you give, that we may answer these people who have spoken to me, saying, ‘Make the yoke that your father put on us lighter’?”
Und die Jungen, die mit ihm aufgewachsen waren, redeten zu ihm und sprachen: So sollst du zu diesem Volk sprechen, das zu dir geredet und gesagt hat: Dein Vater hat unser Joch schwer gemacht, du aber erleichtere es uns; so sollst du zu ihnen reden: Mein kleiner Finger ist dicker als die Lenden meines Vaters!
Entonces los mancebos que se habían criado con él, le respondieron, diciendo: Así hablarás á este pueblo que te ha dicho estas palabras: Tu padre agravó nuestro yugo; mas tú disminúyenos algo: así les hablarás: El menor dedo de los míos es más grueso que los lomos de mi padre.
And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s loins.

So hörte der König nicht auf das Volk; denn es war eine Wendung vonseiten des HERRN, damit er sein Wort aufrecht hielte, das der HERR durch Achija, den Siloniter, zu Jerobeam, dem Sohn Nebats, geredet hatte.
Y no oyó el rey al pueblo; porque era ordenación de Jehová, para confirmar su palabra, que Jehová había hablado por medio de Ahías Silonita á Jeroboam hijo de Nabat.
Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the LORD, that he might perform his saying, which the LORD spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was a thing brought about from the LORD, that he might establish his word, which the LORD spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.

Und es geschah, als ganz Israel hörte, dass Jerobeam zurückgekehrt wäre, da sandten sie hin und riefen ihn zu der Gemeinde und machten ihn zum König über ganz Israel. Niemand folgte dem Haus Davids, als nur der Stamm Juda.
Y aconteció, que oyendo todo Israel que Jeroboam había vuelto, enviaron y llamáronle á la congregación, é hiciéronle rey sobre todo Israel, sin quedar tribu alguna que siguiese la casa de David, sino sólo la tribu de Judá.
And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only.

So spricht der HERR: Ihr sollt nicht hinaufziehen und nicht mit euren Brüdern, den Kindern Israel kämpfen; kehrt um, jeder nach seinem Haus, denn von mir aus ist diese Sache geschehen. Und sie hörten auf das Wort des HERRN und zogen wieder zurück nach dem Wort des HERRN.

‘The LORD says, “You shall not go up or fight against your brothers, the children of Israel. Everyone return to his house; for this thing is from me.”’” So they listened to the LORD’s word, and returned and went their way, according to the LORD’s word.

Wenn dieses Volk hinaufziehen wird, um im Haus des HERRN in Jerusalem Schlachtopfer zu opfern, so wird das Herz dieses Volkes sich zu ihrem Herrn zurückwenden, zu Rehabeam, dem König von Juda; und sie werden mich töten und sich zu Rehabeam, dem König von Juda, zurückwenden.

Da beriet sich der König und machte zwei goldene Kälber. Und er sprach zu dem Volk: Es ist zu viel für euch, nach Jerusalem hinaufzuziehen; siehe da, Israel, deine Götter, die dich aus dem Land Ägypten heraufgeführt haben.
