Esto ocurrió cuando Asá, rey de Judá, llevaba tres años reinando sobre Judá. Fue así como Basá, después de matar a Nadad, lo sucedió en el trono.

Matólo pues Baasa en el tercer año de Asa rey de Judá, y reinó en lugar suyo.
