Isso foi por causa dos pecados que ele havia cometido, por fazer o que era mau à vista de Yahweh, e andar pelo caminho de Jeroboão e no pecado que ele havia cometido, de modo a induzir Israel a pecar.

Por sus pecados que él había cometido, haciendo lo malo á los ojos de Jehová, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo pecar á Israel.

For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.
