C'était la punition des péchés qu'il avait commis en faisant ce qui déplaît à l'Eternel, en suivant la conduite de Jéroboam en ce qui concerne les péchés qu'il avait fait commettre à Israël.

Por sus pecados que él había cometido, haciendo lo malo á los ojos de Jehová, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometió, haciendo pecar á Israel.

For his sins which he sinned in doing evil in the sight of the LORD, in walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin which he did, to make Israel to sin.
