Gehe weg von hinnen und wende dich gegen Morgen und verbirg dich am Bach Krith, der gegen den Jordan fleußt.

ENTONCES Elías Thisbita, que era de los moradores de Galaad, dijo á Achâb: Vive Jehová Dios de Israel, delante del cual estoy, que no habrá lluvia ni rocío en estos años, sino por mi palabra.

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

Und sollst vom Bach trinken; und ich habe den Raben geboten, daß sie dich daselbst sollen versorgen.

Y fué á él palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

Then the LORD’s word came to him, saying,

Er aber ging hin und tat nach dem Wort des HERRN; und ging weg und setzte sich am Bach Krith, der gegen den Jordan fleußt.

Apártate de aquí, y vuélvete al oriente, y escóndete en el arroyo de Cherith, que está delante del Jordán;

Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

“Go away from here, turn eastward, and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, that is before the Jordan.

Und die Raben brachten ihm Brot und Fleisch des Morgens und des Abends; und er trank des Bachs.

Y beberás del arroyo; y yo he mandado á los cuervos que te den allí de comer.

And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.

You shall drink from the brook. I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”

Und es geschah nach etlichen Tagen, daß der Bach vertrocknete; denn es war kein Regen im Lande.

Y él fué, é hizo conforme á la palabra de Jehová; pues se fué y asentó junto al arroyo de Cherith, que está antes del Jordán.

So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

So he went and did according to the LORD’s word, for he went and lived by the brook Cherith that is before the Jordan.

Da kam das Wort des HERRN zu ihm und sprach:

Y los cuervos le traían pan y carne por la mañana, y pan y carne á la tarde; y bebía del arroyo.

And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.

Mache dich auf und gehe gen Zarpath, welche bei Zidon liegt, und bleibe daselbst; denn ich habe daselbst einer Witwe geboten, daß sie dich versorge.

Pasados algunos días, secóse el arroyo; porque no había llovido sobre la tierra.

And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

After a while, the brook dried up, because there was no rain in the land.

Und er machte sich auf und ging gen Zarpath. Und da er kam an die Tür der Stadt, siehe, da war eine Witwe und las Holz auf. Und er rief ihr und sprach: Hole mir ein wenig Wasser im Gefäße, daß ich trinke.

Y fué á él palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

The LORD’s word came to him, saying,

Da sie, aber hinging zu holen, rief er ihr und sprach: Bringe mir auch einen Bissen Brots mit.

Levántate, vete á Sarepta de Sidón, y allí morarás: he aquí yo he mandado allí á una mujer viuda que te sustente.

Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to sustain you.”

Sie sprach: So wahr der HERR, dein Gott, lebet, ich habe nichts Gebackenes ohne eine Handvoll Mehls im Kad und ein wenig Öl im Kruge. Und siehe, ich habe ein Holz oder zwei aufgelesen und gehe hinein und will mir und meinem Sohn zurichten, daß wir essen und sterben.

Entonces él se levantó, y se fué á Sarepta. Y como llegó á la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí una mujer viuda que estaba allí cogiendo serojas; y él la llamó, y díjole: Ruégote que me traigas una poca de agua en un vaso, para que beba.

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and said, “Please get me a little water in a jar, that I may drink.”

Elia sprach zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht! Gehe hin und mache es, wie du gesagt hast; doch mache mir am ersten ein kleines Gebacknes davon und bringe mir's heraus; dir aber und deinem Sohn sollst du danach auch machen.

Y yendo ella para traérsela, él la volvió á llamar, y díjole: Ruégote que me traigas también un bocado de pan en tu mano.

And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

As she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”

Denn also spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Das Mehl im Kad soll nicht verzehret werden, und dem Ölkrug soll nichts mangeln bis auf den Tag, da der HERR regnen lassen wird auf Erden.

Y ella respondió: Vive Jehová Dios tuyo, que no tengo pan cocido; que solamente un puñado de harina tengo en la tinaja, y un poco de aceite en una botija: y ahora cogía dos serojas, para entrarme y aderezarlo para mí y para mi hijo, y que lo comamos, y nos muramos.

And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

She said, “As the LORD your God lives, I don’t have anything baked, but only a handful of meal in a jar and a little oil in a jar. Behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and bake it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”

Sie ging hin und machte, wie Elia gesagt hatte. Und er aß, und sie auch und ihr Haus eine Zeitlang.

Y Elías le dijo: No hayas temor; ve, haz como has dicho: empero hazme á mí primero de ello una pequeña torta cocida debajo de la ceniza, y tráemela; y después harás para ti y para tu hijo.

And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go and do as you have said; but make me a little cake from it first, and bring it out to me, and afterward make some for you and for your son.

Das Mehl im Kad ward nicht verzehret, und dem Ölkrug mangelte nichts, nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte durch Elia.

Porque Jehová Dios de Israel ha dicho así: La tinaja de la harina no escaseará, ni se disminuirá la botija del aceite, hasta aquel día que Jehová dará lluvia sobre la haz de la tierra.

For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

For the LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘The jar of meal will not run out, and the jar of oil will not fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain on the earth.’”

Und nach diesen Geschichten ward des Weibes, seiner Hauswirtin, Sohn krank, und seine Krankheit war so sehr hart, daß kein Odem mehr in ihm blieb.

Entonces ella fué, é hizo como le dijo Elías; y comió él, y ella y su casa, muchos días.

And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

She went and did according to the saying of Elijah; and she, he, and her household ate many days.

Und sie sprach zu Elia: Was habe ich mit dir zu schaffen, du Mann Gottes? Du bist zu mir hereinkommen, daß meiner Missetat gedacht und mein Sohn getötet würde.

Y la tinaja de la harina no escaseó, ni menguó la botija del aceite, conforme á la palabra de Jehová que había dicho por Elías.

And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

The jar of meal didn’t run out and the jar of oil didn’t fail, according to the LORD’s word, which he spoke by Elijah.

Er sprach zu ihr: Gib mir her deinen Sohn! Und er nahm ihn von ihrem Schoß und ging hinauf auf den Saal, da er wohnete, und legte ihn auf sein Bett.

Después de estas cosas aconteció que cayó enfermo el hijo del ama de la casa, y la enfermedad fué tan grave, que no quedó en él resuello.

And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.

After these things, the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, became sick; and his sickness was so severe that there was no breath left in him.

Und rief den HERRN an und sprach: HERR, mein Gott, hast du auch der Witwe, bei der ich ein Gast bin, so übel getan, daß du ihren Sohn tötest?

Y ella dijo á Elías: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, varón de Dios? ¿has venido á mí para traer en memoria mis iniquidades, y para hacerme morir mi hijo?

And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

She said to Elijah, “What have I to do with you, you man of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to memory, and to kill my son!”

Und er maß sich über dem Kinde dreimal und rief den HERRN an und sprach: HERR, mein Gott, laß die Seele dieses Kindes wieder zu ihm kommen!

Y él le dijo: Dame acá tu hijo. Entonces él lo tomó de su regazo, y llevólo á la cámara donde él estaba, y púsole sobre su cama;

And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.

He said to her, “Give me your son.” He took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into the room where he stayed, and laid him on his own bed.

Und der HERR erhörete die Stimme Elias; und die Seele des Kindes kam wieder zu ihm und ward lebendig.

Y clamando á Jehová, dijo: Jehová Dios mío, ¿aun á la viuda en cuya casa yo estoy hospedado has afligido, matándole su hijo?

And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?

He cried to the LORD and said, “LORD my God, have you also brought evil on the widow with whom I am staying, by killing her son?”

Und Elia nahm das Kind und brachte es hinab vom Saal ins Haus; und gab es seiner Mutter und sprach: Siehe da, dein Sohn lebet.

Y midióse sobre el niño tres veces, y clamó á Jehová, y dijo: Jehová Dios mío, ruégote que vuelva el alma de este niño á sus entrañas.

And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again.

He stretched himself on the child three times, and cried to the LORD and said, “LORD my God, please let this child’s soul come into him again.”

Und das Weib sprach zu Elia: Nun erkenne ich, daß du ein Mann Gottes bist, und des HERRN Wort in deinem Munde ist Wahrheit.

Y Jehová oyó la voz de Elías, y el alma del niño volvió á sus entrañas, y revivió.

And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

The LORD listened to the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

Und über eine lange Zeit kam das Wort des HERRN zu Elia, im dritten Jahr, und sprach: Gehe hin und zeige dich Ahab, daß ich regnen lasse auf Erden.

Tomando luego Elías al niño, trájolo de la cámara á la casa, y diólo á su madre, y díjole Elías: Mira, tu hijo vive.

And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.

Elijah took the child and brought him down out of the room into the house, and delivered him to his mother; and Elijah said, “Behold, your son lives.”

Und Elia ging hin, daß er sich Ahab zeigete. Es war aber eine große Teurung zu Samaria.

Entonces la mujer dijo á Elías: Ahora conozco que tú eres varón de Dios, y que la palabra de Jehová es verdad en tu boca.

And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.

The woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the LORD’s word in your mouth is truth.”
