Et le roi David était vieux, ayant vécu bien des jours ; on l'entourait de vêtements, et il n'était point réchauffé.

Ses serviteurs dirent alors : Que l'on cherche pour le roi une jeune vierge ; elle se tiendra à ses côtés, elle le réchauffera, elle dormira avec lui, et le roi notre maître sera réchauffé.

Dijéronle por tanto sus siervos: Busquen á mi señor el rey una moza virgen, para que esté delante del rey, y lo abrigue, y duerma á su lado, y calentará á mi señor el rey.

Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.

Therefore his servants said to him, “Let a young virgin be sought for my lord the king. Let her stand before the king, and cherish him; and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may keep warm.”

Et, ayant cherché, sur tout le territoire d'Israël, une fille belle et jeune, ils trouvèrent Abisag la Sunamite, et ils l'emmenèrent au roi.

Y buscaron una moza hermosa por todo el término de Israel, y hallaron á Abisag Sunamita, y trajéronla al rey.

So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

La jeune fille était merveilleusement belle, et elle réchauffait le roi, elle le servait ; mais le roi ne la connut point.

Y la moza era hermosa, la cual calentaba al rey, y le servía: mas el rey nunca la conoció.

And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not.

The young lady was very beautiful; and she cherished the king, and served him; but the king didn’t know her intimately.

Or, Adonias, fils d'Aggith, s'enorgueillit, et il dit : Je règnerai. Il se procura des chars, des cavaliers, et cinquante hommes pour courir devant lui.

Entonces Adonía hijo de Haggith se levantó, diciendo: Yo reinaré. E hízose de carros y gente de á caballo, y cincuenta hombres que corriesen delante de él.

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.

Et son père n'y mit point obstacle, en lui disant : Pourquoi fais-tu cela ? Il était extrêmement beau, et sa mère l'avait enfanté après Absalon.

Y su padre nunca lo entristeció en todos sus días con decirle: ¿Por qué haces así? Y también éste era de hermoso parecer; y habíalo engendrado después de Absalom.

And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom.

Ses confidents furent Joab, fils de Sarvia, et Abiathar le prêtre, qui se mirent du parti d'Adonias.

Y tenía tratos con Joab hijo de Sarvia, y con Abiathar sacerdote, los cuales ayudaban á Adonía.

And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.

Mais Sadoc le prêtre, Banaïas, fils de Joïada, Nathan le prophète, Sémeï, Rhési, les vaillants de David, ne suivirent point Adonias.

Mas Sadoc sacerdote, y Benaía hijo de Joiada, y Nathán profeta, y Semei, y Reihi, y todos los grandes de David, no seguían á Adonía.

But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

But Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei, Rei, and the mighty men who belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

Et Adonias sacrifia des brebis, des bœufs et des agneaux, près de la pierre de Zoéléthi, qui tient à la fontaine de Rhogel, et il convia tous ses frères et tous les forts de Juda, serviteurs de David.

Y matando Adonía ovejas y vacas y animales engordados junto á la peña de Zoheleth, que está cerca de la fuente de Rogel, convidó á todos sus hermanos los hijos del rey, y á todos los varones de Judá, siervos del rey:

And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by En-rogel, and called all his brethren the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah the king’s servants:

Adonijah killed sheep, cattle, and fatlings by the stone of Zoheleth, which is beside En Rogel; and he called all his brothers, the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah, the king’s servants;

Mais il n'invita ni Nathan le prophète, ni Banaïas, ni les vaillants, ni Salomon son frère.

Mas no convidó á Nathán profeta, ni á Benaía, ni á los grandes, ni á Salomón su hermano.

But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not.

but he didn’t call Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother.

Et Nathan dit à Bethsabée, mère de Salomon : Ne sais-tu point qu'Adonias, fils d'Aggith, est proclamé roi ? Est-ce que David notre seigneur l'ignore ?

Y habló Nathán á Bath-sheba madre de Salomón, diciendo: ¿No has oído que reina Adonía hijo de Haggith, sin saberlo David nuestro señor?

Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bath-sheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?

Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, “Haven’t you heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and David our lord doesn’t know it?

Maintenant donc, viens, et je te donnerai un conseil : sauve ta vie, sauve la vie de Salomon.

Ven pues ahora, y toma mi consejo, para que guardes tu vida, y la vida de tu hijo Salomón.

Now therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel, that thou mayest save thine own life, and the life of thy son Solomon.

Now therefore come, please let me give you counsel, that you may save your own life and your son Solomon’s life.

Viens, entre chez le roi, et dis-lui : O roi mon maître, n'as-tu pas juré à ta servante qu'après toi ton fils Salomon régnerait et qu'il s'assiérait sur ton trône ? Pourquoi donc Adonias est-il proclamé roi ?

Ve, y entra al rey David, y dile: Rey señor mío, ¿no has tú jurado á tu sierva, diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono? ¿por qué pues reina Adonía?

Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?

Go in to King David, and tell him, ‘Didn’t you, my lord the king, swear to your servant, saying, “Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then does Adonijah reign?’

Pendant que tu parleras encore au roi, j'arriverai à ta suite, et je compléterai ton discours.

Y estando tú aún hablando con el rey, yo entraré tras ti, y acabaré tus razones.

Behold, while thou yet talkest there with the king, I also will come in after thee, and confirm thy words.

Behold, while you are still talking there with the king, I will also come in after you and confirm your words.”

Et Bethsabée entra chez le roi dans sa chambre à coucher ; le roi était bien vieux, et Abisag la Sunamite était à servir le roi.

Entonces Bath-sheba entró al rey á la cámara: y el rey era muy viejo; y Abisag Sunamita servía al rey.

And Bath-sheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king.

Bathsheba went in to the king in his room. The king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.

Bethsabée se prosterna pour saluer le roi, et le roi lui dit : Qu'as-tu ?

Y Bath-sheba se inclinó, é hizo reverencia al rey. Y el rey dijo: ¿Qué tienes?

And Bath-sheba bowed, and did obeisance unto the king. And the king said, What wouldest thou?

Bathsheba bowed and showed respect to the king. The king said, “What would you like?”

Seigneur, répondit-elle, tu as juré à ta servante au nom du Seigneur ton Dieu, et tu lui as dit : Après moi, ton fils Salomon règnera ; il s'assiéra sur mon trône.

Y ella le respondió: Señor mío, tú juraste á tu sierva por Jehová tu Dios, diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono;

And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the LORD thy God unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.

She said to him, “My lord, you swore by the LORD your God to your servant, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’

Et maintenant, voici qu'Adonias est proclamé roi, et toi, ô roi mon maître, tu l'ignores.

Y he aquí ahora Adonía reina: y tú, mi señor rey, ahora no lo supiste.

And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest it not:

Now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and you, my lord the king, don’t know it.

Il a sacrifié à profusion des bœufs, des agneaux et des brebis ; et il a convié tous les fils du roi, Abiathar le prêtre, et Joab le chef de l'armée ; mais il n'a point invité ton serviteur Salomon.

Ha matado bueyes, y animales engordados, y muchas ovejas, y ha convidado á todos los hijos del rey, y á Abiathar sacerdote, y á Joab general del ejército; mas á Salomón tu siervo no ha convidado.

And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.

He has slain cattle and fatlings and sheep in abundance, and has called all the sons of the king, Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the army; but he hasn’t called Solomon your servant.

Cependant, ô roi mon maître, les yeux de tout Israël sont dirigés sur toi ; déclare-leur donc qui, après toi, s'assiéra sur le trône du roi mon maître.

Entre tanto, rey señor mío, los ojos de todo Israel están sobre ti, para que les declares quién se ha de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él.

And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

You, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, that you should tell them who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

Sans cela, dès que le roi mon maître se sera endormi avec ses pères, moi et mon fils Salomon nous serons des criminels.

De otra suerte acontecerá, cuando mi señor el rey durmiere con sus padres, que yo y mi hijo Salomón seremos tenidos por culpables.

Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.

Otherwise it will happen, when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be considered criminals.”

Elle parlait encore au roi, quand Nathan le prophète survint.

Y estando aún hablando ella con el rey, he aquí Nathán profeta, que vino.

And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.

Behold, while she was still talking with the king, Nathan the prophet came in.

Et l'on vint dire au roi : Voici Nathan le prophète ; il fut introduit en présence du roi, et il salua le roi la face contre terre.

Y dieron aviso al rey, diciendo: He aquí Nathán profeta: el cual como entró al rey, postróse delante del rey inclinando su rostro á tierra.

And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

They told the king, saying, “Behold, Nathan the prophet!” When he had come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

Et Nathan dit : O roi mon maître, as-tu dit : Adonias, après moi, règnera, et il s'assiéra sur mon trône ?

Y dijo Nathán: Rey señor mío, ¿has tú dicho: Adonía reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono?

And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?

Nathan said, “My lord, King, have you said, ‘Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne’?

Car il est parti aujourd'hui même ; il a sacrifié à profusion des bœufs, des agneaux et des brebis ; il a convié tous les fils du roi, les chefs de l'armée et le prêtre Abiathar, qui sont avec lui à manger et à boire, et ils ont crié : Vive le roi Adonias.

Porque hoy ha descendido, y ha matado bueyes, y animales engordados, y muchas ovejas, y ha convidado á todos los hijos del rey, y á los capitanes del ejército, y también á Abiathar sacerdote; y he aquí, están comiendo y bebiendo delante de él, y han dicho: ¡Viva el rey Adonía!

For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.

For he has gone down today, and has slain cattle, fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king’s sons, the captains of the army, and Abiathar the priest. Behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and saying, ‘Long live King Adonijah!’

Mais il n'a point invité moi ton serviteur, ni Sadoc le prêtre, ni Banaïas, fils de Joïada, ni Salomon ton serviteur.

Mas ni á mí tu siervo, ni á Sadoc sacerdote, ni á Benaía hijo de Joiada, ni á Salomón tu siervo, ha convidado.

But me, even me thy servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and thy servant Solomon, hath he not called.

But he hasn’t called me, even me your servant, Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon.

Est-ce arrivé par la volonté du roi mon maître, qui n'a point voulu faire connaître à ses serviteurs celui qui s'assiérait sur le trône du roi mon maître après lui ?

¿Es este negocio ordenado por mi señor el rey, sin haber declarado á tu siervo quién se había de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él?

Is this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not shewed it unto thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?

Was this thing done by my lord the king, and you haven’t shown to your servants who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?”

Et le roi David s'écria : Rappelez Bethsabée ; et elle rentra devant le roi, et elle se tint debout devant lui.

Entonces el rey David respondió, y dijo: Llamadme á Bath-sheba. Y ella entró á la presencia del rey, y púsose delante del rey.

Then king David answered and said, Call me Bath-sheba. And she came into the king’s presence, and stood before the king.

Then King David answered, “Call Bathsheba in to me.” She came into the king’s presence and stood before the king.

Alors, le roi prêta serment, et dit : Aussi vrai que vit le Seigneur, qui a délivré mon âme de toute tribulation,

Y el rey juró, diciendo: Vive Jehová, que ha redimido mi alma de toda angustia,

And the king sware, and said, As the LORD liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress,

The king vowed and said, “As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

Ce que je t'ai juré au nom du Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, quand j'ai dit : Salomon, ton fils, règnera après moi, et il s'assiéra sur mon trône à ma place, s'accomplira aujourd'hui même.

Que como yo te he jurado por Jehová Dios de Israel, diciendo: Tu hijo Salomón reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono en lugar mío; que así lo haré hoy.

Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.

most certainly as I swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel, saying, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place;’ I will most certainly do this today.”

Et Bethsabée se prosterna la face contre terre pour saluer le roi, et elle s'écria : Vive à jamais David le roi mon maître !

Entonces Bath-sheba se inclinó al rey, su rostro á tierra, y haciendo reverencia al rey, dijo: Viva mi señor el rey David para siempre.

Then Bath-sheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.

Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth and showed respect to the king, and said, “Let my lord King David live forever!”

Et le roi David dit : Faites-moi venir Sadoc le prêtre, Nathan le prophète, et Banaïas, fils de Joïada ; et ils entrèrent devant le roi.

Y el rey David dijo: Llamadme á Sadoc sacerdote, y á Nathán profeta, y á Benaía hijo de Joiada. Y ellos entraron á la presencia del rey.

And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.

King David said, “Call to me Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada.” They came before the king.

Et le roi leur dit : Prenez avec vous les serviteurs de votre maître, placez mon fils Salomon sur ma mule, et conduisez-le à la fontaine de Gihon.

Y el rey les dijo: Tomad con vosotros los siervos de vuestro señor, y haced subir á Salomón mi hijo en mi mula, y llevadlo á Gihón:

The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:

The king said to them, “Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride on my own mule, and bring him down to Gihon.

Là, que Sadoc le prêtre, et Nathan le prophète, le sacrent roi d'Israël ; après cela, sonnez du cor, et criez : Vive le roi Salomon !

Y allí lo ungirán Sadoc sacerdote y Nathán profeta por rey sobre Israel; y tocaréis trompeta, diciendo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!

And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon.

Il s'assiéra sur mon trône, et il règnera à ma place ; car c'est moi qui ai commandé qu'il règne sur Israël et sur Juda.

Después iréis vosotros detrás de él, y vendrá y se sentará en mi trono, y él reinará por mí; porque á él he ordenado para que sea príncipe sobre Israel y sobre Judá.

Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.

Then come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne; for he shall be king in my place. I have appointed him to be prince over Israel and over Judah.”

Et Banaïas, fils de Joïada, dit à David : Ainsi soit-il ; que le Seigneur Dieu du roi mon maître confirme sa parole.

Entonces Benaía hijo de Joiada respondió al rey, y dijo: Amén. Así lo diga Jehová, Dios de mi señor el rey.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so too.

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, “Amen. May the LORD, the God of my lord the king, say so.

Que le Seigneur soit avec Salomon comme il a été avec le roi mon maître ; qu'il élève son trône au-dessus du trône du roi mon maître David.

De la manera que Jehová ha sido con mi señor el rey, así sea con Salomón; y él haga mayor su trono que el trono de mi señor el rey David.

As the LORD hath been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.

As the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so may he be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.”

Et Sadoc le prêtre partit avec Nathan le prophète, Barman, fils de Joïada, Chéléthi et Phéléthi ; ils firent monter Salomon sur la mule du roi, et ils le conduisirent à la fontaine de Gihon.

Y descendió Sadoc sacerdote, y Nathán profeta, y Benaía hijo de Joiada, y los Ceretheos y los Peletheos, é hicieron subir á Salomón en la mula del rey David, y lleváronlo á Gihón.

So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.

So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.

Sadoc avait pris dans le tabernacle la corne d'huile, et il sacra Salomon ; puis, il sonna du cor, et tout le peuple cria : Vive le roi Salomon !

Y tomando Sadoc sacerdote el cuerno del aceite del tabernáculo, ungió á Salomón: y tocaron trompeta, y dijo todo el pueblo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!

And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.

Et tout le peuple revint à sa suite ; il forma des chœurs de danse, il montra une très grande allégresse, et la terre à ses cris fut ébranlée.

Después subió todo el pueblo en pos de él, y cantaba la gente con flautas, y hacían grandes alegrías, que parecía que la tierra se hundía con el clamor de ellos.

And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.

Adonias l'entendit ainsi que tous ses convives qui achevaient de manger. Joab distingua le son du cor, et il dit : Quel est ce son qui nous vient de la ville ?

Y oyólo Adonía, y todos los convidados que con él estaban, cuando ya habían acabado de comer. Y oyendo Joab el sonido de la trompeta, dijo: ¿Por qué se alborota la ciudad con estruendo?

And Adonijah and all the guests that were with him heard it as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?

Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they had finished eating. When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, “Why is this noise of the city being in an uproar?”

Il parlait encore, quand survint Jonathas, fils d'Abiathar le prêtre, et Adonias lui dit : Entre, tu es un homme vaillant, et tu nous apportes de bonnes nouvelles,

Estando aún él hablando, he aquí Jonathán hijo de Abiathar sacerdote vino, al cual dijo Adonía: Entra, porque tú eres hombre de esfuerzo, y traerás buenas nuevas.

And while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came: and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a valiant man, and bringest good tidings.

While he yet spoke, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came; and Adonijah said, “Come in; for you are a worthy man, and bring good news.”

Mais Jonathas répondit et il dit : Assurément, car le roi notre maître a proclamé roi Salomon.

Y Jonathán respondió, y dijo á Adonía: Ciertamente nuestro señor el rey David ha hecho rey á Salomón:

And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king.

Jonathan answered Adonijah, “Most certainly our lord King David has made Solomon king.

Et il a envoyé avec lui Sadoc le prêtre, et Nathan le prophète, Banaïas, fils de Joïada, Chéléthi et Phéléthi ; et ils l'ont fait monter sur la mule du roi.

Y el rey ha enviado con él á Sadoc sacerdote y á Nathán profeta, y á Benaía hijo de Joiada, y también á los Ceretheos y á los Peletheos, los cuales le hicieron subir en la mula del rey;

And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mule:

The king has sent with him Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and they have caused him to ride on the king’s mule.

And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant with the sword.

Solomon was told, “Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon; for, behold, he is hanging onto the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword.’”

Et Salomon dit : Qu'il soit un homme vaillant, et pas un cheveu ne tombera de sa tête ; mais si l'on découvre en lui quelque méchanceté, il mourra.

And Solomon said, If he will shew himself a worthy man, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.
