Quando o rei Davi ficou velho, já de idade bem avançada, quase não saía da cama; e por mais que pusessem cobertores sobre ele, não conseguiam aquecê-lo.

COMO el rey David era viejo, y entrado en días, cubríanle de vestidos, mas no se calentaba.

Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat.

Então os ajudantes do rei lhe disseram: “Vamos encontrar uma moça virgem que sirva de companheira para o rei e cuide dele. Ela se deitará nos seus braços a fim de aquecer o rei”.

Dijéronle por tanto sus siervos: Busquen á mi señor el rey una moza virgen, para que esté delante del rey, y lo abrigue, y duerma á su lado, y calentará á mi señor el rey.

Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.

Therefore his servants said to him, “Let a young virgin be sought for my lord the king. Let her stand before the king, and cherish him; and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may keep warm.”

Então andaram pelo país, por todos os cantos, a fim de encontrar uma moça que fosse bonita. Finalmente encontraram Abisague, uma sunamita. Trouxeram a moça ao rei.

Y buscaron una moza hermosa por todo el término de Israel, y hallaron á Abisag Sunamita, y trajéronla al rey.

So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

So they sought for a beautiful young lady throughout all the borders of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

A jovem era muito bonita! Ela cuidava do rei e o servia, porém ele não teve relações com ela.

Y la moza era hermosa, la cual calentaba al rey, y le servía: mas el rey nunca la conoció.

And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not.

The young lady was very beautiful; and she cherished the king, and served him; but the king didn’t know her intimately.

Então Adonias, filho de Davi cuja mãe se chamava Hagite, se exaltou e disse: “Eu serei o rei”. Ele alugou carruagens e homens que dirigissem essas carruagens, providenciou também cinquenta homens que corressem pelas ruas à frente dele como se fossem soldados da infantaria real.

Entonces Adonía hijo de Haggith se levantó, diciendo: Yo reinaré. E hízose de carros y gente de á caballo, y cincuenta hombres que corriesen delante de él.

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.

Seu pai, o rei Davi, nunca o havia contrariado, perguntando: “Por que você age assim?” Adonias era um homem de bela aparência; ele era o irmão de Absalão que nasceu logo depois dele.

Y su padre nunca lo entristeció en todos sus días con decirle: ¿Por qué haces así? Y también éste era de hermoso parecer; y habíalo engendrado después de Absalom.

And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom.

His father had not displeased him at any time in saying, “Why have you done so?” and he was also a very handsome man; and he was born after Absalom.

Adonias conquistou a confiança de Joabe, filho de Zeruia, e do sacerdote Abiatar, e eles concordaram em ajudar o jovem a tornar-se rei.

Y tenía tratos con Joab hijo de Sarvia, y con Abiathar sacerdote, los cuales ayudaban á Adonía.

And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.

He conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah and with Abiathar the priest; and they followed Adonijah and helped him.

Mas dentre os que permaneceram fiéis ao rei Davi e se recusaram a seguir Adonias estavam os sacerdotes Zadoque e Benaia, filho de Joiada, o profeta Natã, Simei, Reí e a guarda especial de Davi.

Mas Sadoc sacerdote, y Benaía hijo de Joiada, y Nathán profeta, y Semei, y Reihi, y todos los grandes de David, no seguían á Adonía.

But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

But Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei, Rei, and the mighty men who belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

Adonias foi a En-Rogel, onde ofereceu sacrifícios de ovelhas, bois e novilhos gordos, junto à pedra de Zoelete. Então convidou todos os seus irmãos, os outros filhos do rei Davi, e todos os conselheiros do palácio real de Judá, pedindo a eles que viessem para a sua festa de coroação.

Y matando Adonía ovejas y vacas y animales engordados junto á la peña de Zoheleth, que está cerca de la fuente de Rogel, convidó á todos sus hermanos los hijos del rey, y á todos los varones de Judá, siervos del rey:

And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by En-rogel, and called all his brethren the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah the king’s servants:

Adonijah killed sheep, cattle, and fatlings by the stone of Zoheleth, which is beside En Rogel; and he called all his brothers, the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah, the king’s servants;

Porém, não convidou o profeta Natã, nem Benaia, nem a guarda especial do rei, nem mesmo seu irmão Salomão.

Mas no convidó á Nathán profeta, ni á Benaía, ni á los grandes, ni á Salomón su hermano.

But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not.

but he didn’t call Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother.

Então o profeta Natã foi procurar Bate-Seba, mãe de Salomão, e perguntou a ela: “Você ainda não sabe que Adonias, filho de Hagite, tornou-se rei, sem que o nosso senhor Davi ficasse sabendo?

Y habló Nathán á Bath-sheba madre de Salomón, diciendo: ¿No has oído que reina Adonía hijo de Haggith, sin saberlo David nuestro señor?

Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bath-sheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?

Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, “Haven’t you heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and David our lord doesn’t know it?

Se você quiser salvar a sua própria vida e a vida de seu filho Salomão, faça exatamente o que lhe digo!

Ven pues ahora, y toma mi consejo, para que guardes tu vida, y la vida de tu hijo Salomón.

Now therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel, that thou mayest save thine own life, and the life of thy son Solomon.

Now therefore come, please let me give you counsel, that you may save your own life and your son Solomon’s life.

Vá depressa ao rei Davi e pergunte a ele: ‘Meu senhor, lembra-se da promessa que fez sua serva de que meu filho Salomão seria o próximo rei, e que ele se assentaria no seu trono? Então, como é que Adonias já se tornou rei?’

Ve, y entra al rey David, y dile: Rey señor mío, ¿no has tú jurado á tu sierva, diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono? ¿por qué pues reina Adonía?

Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?

Go in to King David, and tell him, ‘Didn’t you, my lord the king, swear to your servant, saying, “Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then does Adonijah reign?’

E enquanto você ainda estiver falando com ele, eu chegarei e direi que é verdade tudo o que você disse”.

Y estando tú aún hablando con el rey, yo entraré tras ti, y acabaré tus razones.

Behold, while thou yet talkest there with the king, I also will come in after thee, and confirm thy words.

Behold, while you are still talking there with the king, I will also come in after you and confirm your words.”

Então ela entrou no quarto do rei, já bem velho, onde a sunamita Abisague cuidava dele.

Entonces Bath-sheba entró al rey á la cámara: y el rey era muy viejo; y Abisag Sunamita servía al rey.

And Bath-sheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king.

Bathsheba went in to the king in his room. The king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.

Bate-Seba se inclinou diante dele, com o rosto no chão. “O que você quer?”, perguntou o rei.

Y Bath-sheba se inclinó, é hizo reverencia al rey. Y el rey dijo: ¿Qué tienes?

And Bath-sheba bowed, and did obeisance unto the king. And the king said, What wouldest thou?

Bathsheba bowed and showed respect to the king. The king said, “What would you like?”

Ela respondeu: “Meu senhor, o senhor jurou a esta sua serva, pelo Senhor, o seu Deus: ‘Seu filho Salomão será o próximo rei e ele se assentará no meu trono’.

Y ella le respondió: Señor mío, tú juraste á tu sierva por Jehová tu Dios, diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono;

And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the LORD thy God unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.

She said to him, “My lord, you swore by the LORD your God to your servant, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’

Mas agora, Adonias é o novo rei, e o senhor nem sequer sabe disso.

Y he aquí ahora Adonía reina: y tú, mi señor rey, ahora no lo supiste.

And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest it not:

Now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and you, my lord the king, don’t know it.

Ele ofereceu sacrifícios de bois, novilhos gordos e ovelhas e, além disso, convidou todos os irmãos, o sacerdote Abiatar e o comandante do exército, Joabe. Mas não convidou o seu servo Salomão.

Ha matado bueyes, y animales engordados, y muchas ovejas, y ha convidado á todos los hijos del rey, y á Abiathar sacerdote, y á Joab general del ejército; mas á Salomón tu siervo no ha convidado.

And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.

He has slain cattle and fatlings and sheep in abundance, and has called all the sons of the king, Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the army; but he hasn’t called Solomon your servant.

Agora, ó rei, meu senhor, todos os olhos de Israel estão esperando a sua decisão para saber quem sucederá o rei, meu senhor, no trono.

Entre tanto, rey señor mío, los ojos de todo Israel están sobre ti, para que les declares quién se ha de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él.

And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

You, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, that you should tell them who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

Se o rei, meu senhor, não agir depressa, meu filho Salomão e eu seremos tratados como culpados, logo depois da sua morte”.

De otra suerte acontecerá, cuando mi señor el rey durmiere con sus padres, que yo y mi hijo Salomón seremos tenidos por culpables.

Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.

Otherwise it will happen, when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be considered criminals.”

Enquanto ela falava com o rei, chegou o profeta Natã.

Y estando aún hablando ella con el rey, he aquí Nathán profeta, que vino.

And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.

Behold, while she was still talking with the king, Nathan the prophet came in.

Os ajudantes do rei disseram a ele: “Está aí o profeta Natã, que deseja vê-lo”. Natã entrou e se inclinou diante do rei, com o rosto no chão,

Y dieron aviso al rey, diciendo: He aquí Nathán profeta: el cual como entró al rey, postróse delante del rey inclinando su rostro á tierra.

And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

They told the king, saying, “Behold, Nathan the prophet!” When he had come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

e perguntou: “Ó rei, meu senhor, foi o senhor quem nomeou Adonias para ser o próximo rei? Foi ele que o rei escolheu para assentar-se no trono real?

Y dijo Nathán: Rey señor mío, ¿has tú dicho: Adonía reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono?

And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?

Nathan said, “My lord, King, have you said, ‘Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne’?

Hoje ele celebrou a sua coroação oferecendo sacrifícios de bois e novilhos gordos e ovelhas, e convidou todos os filhos do rei para comparecerem à festa. Também convidou o comandante Joabe e o sacerdote Abiatar. Agora eles estão comendo e bebendo com ele, e celebrando: ‘Viva o rei Adonias!’

Porque hoy ha descendido, y ha matado bueyes, y animales engordados, y muchas ovejas, y ha convidado á todos los hijos del rey, y á los capitanes del ejército, y también á Abiathar sacerdote; y he aquí, están comiendo y bebiendo delante de él, y han dicho: ¡Viva el rey Adonía!

For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.

For he has gone down today, and has slain cattle, fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king’s sons, the captains of the army, and Abiathar the priest. Behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and saying, ‘Long live King Adonijah!’

Porém, o sacerdote Zadoque, Benaia, filho de Joiada, o seu servo Salomão e eu não fomos convidados.

Mas ni á mí tu siervo, ni á Sadoc sacerdote, ni á Benaía hijo de Joiada, ni á Salomón tu siervo, ha convidado.

But me, even me thy servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and thy servant Solomon, hath he not called.

But he hasn’t called me, even me your servant, Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon.

Será que o rei, meu senhor, aprovou sem que seus conselheiros soubessem quem seria o sucessor do trono do rei, meu senhor?”

¿Es este negocio ordenado por mi señor el rey, sin haber declarado á tu siervo quién se había de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él?

Is this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not shewed it unto thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?

Was this thing done by my lord the king, and you haven’t shown to your servants who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?”

“Chamem Bate-Seba”, ordenou o rei Davi. Então ela voltou e se pôs em pé diante dele.

Entonces el rey David respondió, y dijo: Llamadme á Bath-sheba. Y ella entró á la presencia del rey, y púsose delante del rey.

Then king David answered and said, Call me Bath-sheba. And she came into the king’s presence, and stood before the king.

Then King David answered, “Call Bathsheba in to me.” She came into the king’s presence and stood before the king.

E o rei jurou: “Assim como vive o Senhor que me livrou de todos os perigos,

Y el rey juró, diciendo: Vive Jehová, que ha redimido mi alma de toda angustia,

And the king sware, and said, As the LORD liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress,

The king vowed and said, “As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

declaro que seu filho Salomão será o próximo rei e se assentará no meu trono, exatamente como jurei a você perante o Senhor, o Deus de Israel”.

Que como yo te he jurado por Jehová Dios de Israel, diciendo: Tu hijo Salomón reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono en lugar mío; que así lo haré hoy.

Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.

most certainly as I swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel, saying, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place;’ I will most certainly do this today.”

Então Bate-Seba se inclinou novamente diante do rei com o rosto no chão e exclamou: “Que o rei Davi, meu senhor, viva para sempre!”

Entonces Bath-sheba se inclinó al rey, su rostro á tierra, y haciendo reverencia al rey, dijo: Viva mi señor el rey David para siempre.

Then Bath-sheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.

Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth and showed respect to the king, and said, “Let my lord King David live forever!”

O rei Davi deu a seguinte ordem: “Chamem o sacerdote Zadoque, o profeta Natã e Benaia, filho de Joiada”. Quando eles chegaram à presença do rei,

Y el rey David dijo: Llamadme á Sadoc sacerdote, y á Nathán profeta, y á Benaía hijo de Joiada. Y ellos entraron á la presencia del rey.

And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.

King David said, “Call to me Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada.” They came before the king.

ele lhes disse: “Levem Salomão e meus conselheiros a Giom. Salomão deve ir montado na minha mula.

Y el rey les dijo: Tomad con vosotros los siervos de vuestro señor, y haced subir á Salomón mi hijo en mi mula, y llevadlo á Gihón:

The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:

The king said to them, “Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride on my own mule, and bring him down to Gihon.

Ali o sacerdote Zadoque e o profeta Natã devem derramar óleo sobre a cabeça dele e ungi-lo rei sobre Israel. Depois toquem as trombetas e gritem: ‘Viva o rei Salomão!’

Y allí lo ungirán Sadoc sacerdote y Nathán profeta por rey sobre Israel; y tocaréis trompeta, diciendo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!

And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon.

Let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel. Blow the trumpet, and say, ‘Long live King Solomon!’

Quando vocês trouxerem Salomão de volta para cá, façam com que ele se assente no meu trono como o novo rei; porque foi ele que eu indiquei para ser o rei de Israel e de Judá”.

Después iréis vosotros detrás de él, y vendrá y se sentará en mi trono, y él reinará por mí; porque á él he ordenado para que sea príncipe sobre Israel y sobre Judá.

Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.

Then come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne; for he shall be king in my place. I have appointed him to be prince over Israel and over Judah.”

“Que assim seja! Que o Senhor, o Deus do rei, meu senhor, o confirme!” respondeu Benaia, e disse mais:

Entonces Benaía hijo de Joiada respondió al rey, y dijo: Amén. Así lo diga Jehová, Dios de mi señor el rey.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so too.

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, “Amen. May the LORD, the God of my lord the king, say so.

“Que o Senhor esteja com Salomão como esteve com o rei, meu senhor, e que torne o seu trono ainda maior do que o trono do rei Davi, meu senhor!”

De la manera que Jehová ha sido con mi señor el rey, así sea con Salomón; y él haga mayor su trono que el trono de mi señor el rey David.

As the LORD hath been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.

As the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so may he be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.”

Então o sacerdote Zadoque, o profeta Natã, Benaia, filho de Joiada, e a guarda pessoal de Davi (isto é, os queretitas e os peletitas) levaram Salomão a Giom; Salomão ia montado na mula que pertencia ao rei Davi.

Y descendió Sadoc sacerdote, y Nathán profeta, y Benaía hijo de Joiada, y los Ceretheos y los Peletheos, é hicieron subir á Salomón en la mula del rey David, y lleváronlo á Gihón.

So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.

So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.

Em Giom, o sacerdote Zadoque pegou um vaso de óleo sagrado trazido do Tabernáculo e despejou o óleo sobre Salomão; fizeram tocar as trombetas, e todo o povo gritou: “Viva o rei Salomão!”

Y tomando Sadoc sacerdote el cuerno del aceite del tabernáculo, ungió á Salomón: y tocaron trompeta, y dijo todo el pueblo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!

And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.

Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the Tent, and anointed Solomon. They blew the trumpet; and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!”

Depois todos eles voltaram com Salomão para Jerusalém, e por todo o caminho vieram tocando flauta e celebrando de tal forma que o chão tremia com o seu barulho.

Después subió todo el pueblo en pos de él, y cantaba la gente con flautas, y hacían grandes alegrías, que parecía que la tierra se hundía con el clamor de ellos.

And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.

Adonias e os seus convidados ouviram aquela agitação e gritaria, bem na hora em que terminavam o banquete. Ao ouvir o toque da trombeta, Joabe perguntou: “O que está acontecendo? Por que a cidade está nessa agitação?”

Y oyólo Adonía, y todos los convidados que con él estaban, cuando ya habían acabado de comer. Y oyendo Joab el sonido de la trompeta, dijo: ¿Por qué se alborota la ciudad con estruendo?

And Adonijah and all the guests that were with him heard it as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?

Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they had finished eating. When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, “Why is this noise of the city being in an uproar?”

Enquanto ele ainda falava, Jônatas, filho de Abiatar, o sacerdote, chegou correndo. “Entre”, Adonias disse a ele, “pois você é um homem bom; você deve estar trazendo boas notícias”.

Estando aún él hablando, he aquí Jonathán hijo de Abiathar sacerdote vino, al cual dijo Adonía: Entra, porque tú eres hombre de esfuerzo, y traerás buenas nuevas.

And while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came: and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a valiant man, and bringest good tidings.

While he yet spoke, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came; and Adonijah said, “Come in; for you are a worthy man, and bring good news.”

“Nosso senhor, o rei Davi, declarou que Salomão é o rei!”, Jônatas gritou.

Y Jonathán respondió, y dijo á Adonía: Ciertamente nuestro señor el rey David ha hecho rey á Salomón:

And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king.

Jonathan answered Adonijah, “Most certainly our lord King David has made Solomon king.

“O rei mandou que ele fosse a Giom com o sacerdote Zadoque, o profeta Natã e Benaia, filho de Joiada, protegido pelos queretitas e peletitas, e ele ia montado na mula que pertence ao rei.

Y el rey ha enviado con él á Sadoc sacerdote y á Nathán profeta, y á Benaía hijo de Joiada, y también á los Ceretheos y á los Peletheos, los cuales le hicieron subir en la mula del rey;

And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mule:

Depois o sacerdote Zadoque e o profeta Natã despejaram óleo sobre a cabeça dele como o novo rei em Giom! Eles acabam de voltar, e a cidade toda está comemorando. Todo esse barulho é por isso.

Y Sadoc sacerdote y Nathán profeta lo han ungido en Gihón por rey: y de allá han subido con alegrías, y la ciudad está llena de estruendo. Este es el alboroto que habéis oído.

Salomão está sentado no trono,

Y también Salomón se ha sentado en el trono del reino.

And also Solomon sitteth on the throne of the kingdom.

e todos os servos do rei vieram abençoar o nosso senhor, o rei Davi, dizendo: ‘Que o Deus do rei Davi torne o nome de Salomão ainda mais famoso do que o seu. Que Deus faça o reinado de Salomão ainda maior do que o reinado do rei Davi!’ E o rei se inclinou na cama

Y aun los siervos del rey han venido á bendecir á nuestro señor el rey David, diciendo: Dios haga bueno el nombre de Salomón más que tu nombre, y haga mayor su trono que el tuyo. Y el rey adoró en la cama.

And moreover the king’s servants came to bless our lord king David, saying, God make the name of Solomon better than thy name, and make his throne greater than thy throne. And the king bowed himself upon the bed.

e orou: ‘Bendito seja o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, que escolheu um de meus filhos para sentar-se no meu trono e permitiu que os meus olhos o vissem hoje’ ”.

Y también el rey habló así: Bendito sea Jehová Dios de Israel, que ha dado hoy quien se siente en mi trono, viéndolo mis ojos.

And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which hath given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it.

Então Adonias e seus convidados saíram correndo da mesa do banquete e fugiram de medo; eles trataram de salvar as suas vidas.

Ellos entonces se estremecieron, y levantáronse todos los convidados que estaban con Adonía, y fuése cada uno por su camino.

And all the guests that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up, and went every man his way.

Adonias correu para o Tabernáculo e se agarrou às pontas do altar.

Mas Adonía, temiendo de la presencia de Salomón, levantóse y fuése, y cogió los cornijales del altar.

And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

Adonijah was afraid because of Solomon; and he arose, and went, and hung onto the horns of the altar.

Quando Salomão soube que Adonias estava com medo dele e estava agarrado nos chifres do altar, dizendo: “Que o rei Salomão jure hoje que não matará o seu servo com a espada”,

Y fué hecho saber á Salomón, diciendo: He aquí que Adonía tiene miedo del rey Salomón: pues ha cogido los cornijales del altar, diciendo: Júreme hoy el rey Salomón que no matará á cuchillo á su siervo.

And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant with the sword.

Solomon was told, “Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon; for, behold, he is hanging onto the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword.’”

respondeu: “Se ele se comportar bem, não cairá um só fio de cabelo da sua cabeça; mas se nele se descobrir alguma maldade, ele morrerá”.

Y Salomón dijo: Si él fuere virtuoso, ni uno de sus cabellos caerá en tierra: mas si se hallare mal en él, morirá.

And Solomon said, If he will shew himself a worthy man, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.

Solomon said, “If he shows himself a worthy man, not a hair of his shall fall to the earth; but if wickedness is found in him, he shall die.”

Então Salomão mandou buscar Adonias, e os mensageiros fizeram com que ele descesse do altar. Ele veio e se inclinou diante do rei; e Salomão disse a Adonias: “Vá para a sua casa”.

Y envió el rey Salomón, y trajéronlo del altar; y él vino, é inclinóse al rey Salomón. Y Salomón le dijo: Vete á tu casa.

So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to thine house.
