Un día el rey le habló y le pidió que le vendiera su propiedad. ―Quiero plantar en ella una huerta —explicó el rey—, porque está junto al palacio. Yo te puedo dar un mejor terreno en el cual puedes tener otro viñedo, o si quieres te daré el dinero que me pidas.
Y Achâb habló á Naboth, diciendo: Dame tu viña para un huerto de legumbres, porque está cercana, junto á mi casa, y yo te daré por ella otra viña mejor que esta; ó si mejor te pareciere, te pagaré su valor en dinero.
And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.
Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying, “Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near my house; and I will give you for it a better vineyard than it. Or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its worth in money.”
