Ora il re di Siria avea comandato ai suoi capitani de' carri, ch'erano trentadue: Non combattete contro a piccoli, nè contro a grandi, ma contro al re d'Israele solo.

Mas el rey de Siria había mandado á sus treinta y dos capitanes de los carros, diciendo: No peleéis vosotros ni con grande ni con chico, sino sólo contra el rey de Israel.

But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.

Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, “Don’t fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel.”
