Celui-ci dit alors à ses serviteurs: "Ramot en Galaad est à nous, vous ne l'ignorez pas; pourquoi donc nous tenir tranquilles, au lieu de l'arracher aux mains du roi de Syrie?"

Y el rey de Israel dijo á sus siervos: ¿No sabéis que es nuestra Ramoth de Galaad? y nosotros callamos en orden á tomarla de mano del rey de Siria.

And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?

The king of Israel said to his servants, “You know that Ramoth Gilead is ours, and we do nothing, and don’t take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?”

Puis il parla ainsi à Josaphat: "Iras-tu en guerre avec moi contre Ramot en Galaad?" Il répondit: "Nous ne faisons qu'un, toi et moi, ton peuple et mon peuple, ta cavalerie et la mienne."

Y dijo á Josaphat: ¿Quieres venir conmigo á pelear contra Ramoth de Galaad? Y Josaphat respondió al rey de Israel: Como yo, así tú; y como mi pueblo, así tu pueblo; y como mis caballos, tus caballos.

And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.

He said to Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to battle to Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

Josaphat dit encore au roi d'Israël: "De grâce, consulte donc en ce jour l'oracle du Seigneur."

Y dijo luego Josaphat al rey de Israel: Yo te ruego que consultes hoy la palabra de Jehová.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Please inquire first for the LORD’s word.”

Le roi d'Israël réunit les prophètes, au nombre d'environ quatre cents, et leur dit: "Dois-je aller en guerre contre Ramot en Galaad, ou dois-je m'abstenir?" Ils répondirent: "Va, l'Eternel livrera la ville au pouvoir du roi."

Entonces el rey de Israel juntó los profetas, como cuatrocientos hombres, á los cuales dijo: ¿Iré á la guerra contra Ramoth de Galaad, ó la dejaré? Y ellos dijeron: Sube; porque el Señor la entregará en mano del rey.

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

Mais Josaphat insista: "N'y a-t-il pas ici encore un prophète de l'Eternel que nous puissions interroger?

Y dijo Josaphat: ¿Hay aún aquí algún profeta de Jehová, por el cual consultemos?

And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there here a prophet of the LORD, that we may inquire of him?”

Il y a bien encore un homme, dit le roi d'Israël, à qui nous pourrions demander ce que dit l'Eternel, mais je le hais, car il ne me prédit jamais rien de bon, toujours du mal. C'est Mikhayou, fils de Yimla." Josaphat se récria: "Que le roi ne tienne pas un pareil langage!"

Y el rey de Israel respondió á Josaphat: Aun hay un varón por el cual podríamos consultar á Jehová, Michêas, hijo de Imla: mas yo le aborrezco, porque nunca me profetiza bien, sino solamente mal. Y Josaphat dijo: No hable el rey así.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the LORD, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said, “Don’t let the king say so.”

Le roi manda un officier et lui ordonna d'amener à la hâte Mikhayou, fils de Yimia.

Entonces el rey de Israel llamó á un eunuco, y díjole: trae presto á Michêas hijo de Imla.

Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah.

Cependant, le roi d'Israël et Josaphat, roi de Juda, revêtus de leurs insignes, étaient assis chacun sur son trône, dans une aire, à l'entrée de la porte de Samarie, et tous les prophètes prophétisaient devant eux.

Y el rey de Israel y Josaphat rey de Judá estaban sentados cada uno en su silla, vestidos de sus ropas reales, en la plaza junto á la entrada de la puerta de Samaria; y todos los profetas profetizaban delante de ellos.

And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

Sédécias, fils de Kenaana, se fit des cornes de fer et dit: "Telle est la parole du Seigneur: Avec ces cornes tu terrasseras Aram, au point de l'anéantir."

Y Sedechîas hijo de Chânaana se había hecho unos cuernos de hierro, y dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Con éstos acornearás á los Siros hasta acabarlos.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.

Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made himself horns of iron, and said, “The LORD says, ‘With these you will push the Syrians, until they are consumed.’”

Tous les prophètes prédisaient de même et parlaient ainsi: "Monte contre Ramot en Galaad, et tu triompheras: l'Eternel livrera la ville au pouvoir du roi."

Y todos los profetas profetizaban de la misma manera, diciendo: Sube á Ramoth de Galaad, y serás prosperado; que Jehová la dará en mano del rey.

And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king’s hand.

De son côté, le messager qui était allé appeler Mikhayou lui avait dit: "Les prédictions des prophètes sont unanimement favorables au roi; prononce donc le même oracle qu'eux tous. Annonce le succès."

Y el mensajero que había ido á llamar á Michêas, hablóle, diciendo: He aquí las palabras de los profetas á una boca anuncian al rey bien: sea ahora tu palabra conforme á la palabra de alguno de ellos, y anuncia bien.

And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.

The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “See now, the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good.”

Mais Mikhayou avait répondu: "Vive Dieu! Ce que l'Eternel me dictera, je le dirai."

Y Michêas respondió: Vive Jehová, que lo que Jehová me hablare, eso diré.

And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.

Micaiah said, “As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I will speak.”

Il vint auprès du roi, qui lui dit: "Mikhayou, irons-nous en guerre contre Ramot en Galaad, ou nous abstiendrons-nous?" Il répondit: "Va, et tu triompheras; l'Eternel livrera la ville au pouvoir du roi."

Vino pues al rey, y el rey le dijo: Michêas, ¿iremos á pelear contra Ramoth de Galaad, ó la dejaremos? Y él le respondió: Sube, que serás prosperado, y Jehová la entregará en mano del rey.

So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

When he had come to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall we forbear?” He answered him, “Go up and prosper; and the LORD will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

Le roi lui dit: "Combien de fois t'adjurerai-je de me dire uniquement la vérité au nom de l'Eternel?"

Y el rey le dijo: ¿Hasta cuántas veces he de conjurarte que no me digas sino la verdad en el nombre de Jehová?

And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD?

The king said to him, “How many times do I have to adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the LORD’s name?”

Il répondit: "J'ai vu tout Israël dispersé sur les montagnes, comme un troupeau sans pasteur; et l'Eternel disait: Plus de chefs pour les diriger; qu'ils retournent, chacun chez soi, en paix!"

Entonces él dijo: Yo ví á todo Israel esparcido por los montes, como ovejas que no tienen pastor: y Jehová dijo: Estos no tienen señor; vuélvase cada uno á su casa en paz.

And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.

He said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. The LORD said, ‘These have no master. Let them each return to his house in peace.’”

Le roi d'Israël dit alors à Josaphat: "Ne t'avais-je pas prévenu que cet homme ne me prédit que le mal et jamais le bien?

Y el rey de Israel dijo á Josaphat: ¿No te lo había yo dicho? Ninguna cosa buena profetizará él acerca de mí, sino solamente mal.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”

Ecoute donc la parole de l'Eternel, reprit Mikhayou: J'ai vu le Seigneur assis sur son trône, tandis que toute l'armée céleste se tenait debout près de lui, à droite et à gauche.

Entonces él dijo: Oye pues palabra de Jehová: Yo vi á Jehová sentado en su trono, y todo el ejército de los cielos estaba junto á él, á su diestra y á su siniestra.

And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the LORD’s word. I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

Et l'Eternel dit: Qui ira séduire Achab, afin qu'il monte contre Ramot en Galaad, et y succombe? Celui-ci répondit de telle façon, celui-là de telle autre.

Y Jehová dijo: ¿Quién inducirá á Achâb, para que suba y caiga en Ramoth de Galaad? Y uno decía de una manera; y otro decía de otra.

And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.

The LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ One said one thing, and another said another.

Mais l'Esprit s'avança droit devant l'Eternel et dit: Moi, je veux l'égarer. - Et comment cela? demanda le Seigneur.

Y salió un espíritu, y púsose delante de Jehová, y dijo: Yo le induciré. Y Jehová le dijo: ¿De qué manera?

And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.

A spirit came out and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will entice him.’

Il répondit: J'irai, et je serai un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous ses prophètes. -Tu réussiras à le tromper, reprit le Seigneur; va donc et fais cela.

Y él dijo: Yo saldré, y seré espíritu de mentira en boca de todos sus profetas. Y él dijo: Inducirlo has, y aun saldrás con ello; sal pues, y hazlo así.

And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

The LORD said to him, ‘How?’ He said, ‘I will go out and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ He said, ‘You will entice him, and will also prevail. Go out and do so.’

Et maintenant, oui, l'Eternel a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous tes prophètes que voici, parce qu'il a résolu ta perte."

Y ahora, he aquí Jehová ha puesto espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos estos tus profetas, y Jehová ha decretado el mal acerca de ti.

Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and the LORD has spoken evil concerning you.”

Alors Sédécias, fils de Kenaana s'approcha de Mikhayou et le frappa au visage, en disant: "Comment l'esprit divin a-t-il passé de moi à toi pour te parler?"

Llegándose entonces Sedechîas hijo de Chânaana, hirió á Michêas en la mejilla, diciendo: ¿Por dónde se fué de mí el espíritu de Jehová para hablarte á ti?

But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “Which way did the LORD’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”

Mikhayou répondit: "Tu le verras le jour où tu iras te réfugier de chambre en chambre pour te mettre à l'abri."

Y Michêas respondió: He aquí tú lo verás en aquel día, cuando te irás metiendo de cámara en cámara por esconderte.

And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.

Micaiah said, “Behold, you will see on that day when you go into an inner room to hide yourself.”

Le roi d'Israël ordonna aussitôt de conduire Mikhayou auprès d'Amôn, le gouverneur de la ville, et du prince royal Joas,

Entonces el rey de Israel dijo: Toma á Michêas, y vuélvelo á Amón gobernador de la ciudad, y á Joas hijo del rey;

And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;

The king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son.

à qui il fit dire: "Suivant l'ordre du roi, jetez cet homme en prison et nourrissez-le du pain et de l'eau de misère jusqu'à mon heureux retour.

Y dirás: Así ha dicho el rey: Echad á éste en la cárcel, y mantenedle con pan de angustia y con agua de aflicción, hasta que yo vuelva en paz.

And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.

Say, ‘The king says, “Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.”’”

- Ah! Si tu reviens en paix, s'écria Mikhayou, ce n'est pas l'Eternel qui m'aura inspiré." Il ajouta: "Soyez-en témoins, vous tous ici réunis!"

Y dijo Michêas: Si llegares á volver en paz, Jehová no ha hablado por mí. En seguida dijo: Oid, pueblos todos.

And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.

Micaiah said, “If you return at all in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me.” He said, “Listen, all you people!”

Cependant, le roi d'Israël et Josaphat, roi de Juda, montèrent contre Ramot en Galaad.

Subió pues el rey de Israel con Josaphat rey de Judá á Ramoth de Galaad.

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.

Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: "Moi, je vais me déguiser pour aller au combat, mais toi, revêts ton costume royal," et il alla en guerre, déguisé.

Y el rey de Israel dijo á Josaphat: Yo me disfrazaré, y entraré en la batalla: y tú vístete tus vestidos. Y el rey de Israel se disfrazó, y entró en la batalla.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself and go into the battle, but you put on your robes.” The king of Israel disguised himself and went into the battle.

Or, le roi de Syrie avait donné l'ordre suivant aux commandants de sa cavalerie, qui étaient au nombre de trente-deux: "Ne dirigez vos coups contre petit ni grand, mais visez uniquement le roi d'Israël.

Mas el rey de Siria había mandado á sus treinta y dos capitanes de los carros, diciendo: No peleéis vosotros ni con grande ni con chico, sino sólo contra el rey de Israel.

But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.

Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, “Don’t fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel.”

Lorsque les chefs de la cavalerie aperçurent Josaphat, ils se dirent: "Ce n'est autre que le roi d'Israël," et ils marchèrent sur lui pour le frapper. Josaphat poussa des cris.

Y como los capitanes de los carros vieron á Josaphat, dijeron: Ciertamente éste es el rey de Israel; y viniéronse á él para pelear con él; mas el rey Josaphat dió voces.

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.

When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “Surely that is the king of Israel!” and they came over to fight against him. Jehoshaphat cried out.

Alors, les chefs de la cavalerie reconnurent que ce n'était pas le roi d'Israël et ils se détournèrent.

Viendo entonces los capitanes de los carros que no era el rey de Israel, apartáronse de él.

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.

Mais un soldat tira de l'arc au hasard, et atteignit le roi d'Israël au défaut de la cuirasse. Achab dit à son conducteur: "Tourne bride et fais-moi sortir de la mêlée, car je suis grièvement blessé."

Y un hombre disparando su arco á la ventura, hirió al rey de Israel por entre las junturas de la armadura; por lo que dijo él á su carretero: Toma la vuelta, y sácame del campo, que estoy herido.

And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.

A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around, and carry me out of the battle, for I am severely wounded.”

La bataille fut rude en ce jour. Cependant le roi était resté debout sur son char en face du Syrien, mais au soir il expira. Le sang de la plaie avait coulé jusqu'au fond du char.

Mas la batalla había arreciado aquel día, y el rey estuvo en su carro delante de los Siros, y á la tarde murió: y la sangre de la herida corría por el seno del carro.

And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.

Au coucher du soleil, la proclamation suivante passa dans les rangs: "Que chacun retourne dans sa ville et dans son pays!"

Y á puesta del sol salió un pregón por el campo, diciendo: ¡Cada uno á su ciudad, y cada cual á su tierra!

And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country.

A cry went throughout the army about the going down of the sun, saying, “Every man to his city, and every man to his country!”

On ramena Achab mort à Samarie, où il fut enseveli.

And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake.

Le reste de l'histoire d'Achab et tous les faits accomplis par lui, la construction du palais d'ivoire et des villes qu'il avait bâties, tout cela est consigné dans les annales des rois d'Israël.

Il avait trente-cinq ans, à son avènement, et il régna vingt-cinq ans à Jérusalem. Il avait pour mère Azouba, fille de Chilhi.

Il suivit en tout la voie d'Asa, son père, sans s'en détourner; il fit le bien aux yeux de l'Eternel.

Y anduvo en todo el camino de Asa su padre, sin declinar de él, haciendo lo recto en los ojos de Jehová.

And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.
