Als nun die Tage Davids herannahten, dass er sterben sollte, gebot er seinem Sohn Salomo und sprach:

Y LLEGÁRONSE los días de David para morir, y mandó á Salomón su hijo, diciendo:

Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,

Now the days of David came near that he should die; and he commanded Solomon his son, saying,

Ich gehe den Weg der ganzen Erde; so sei stark und sei ein Mann;

Yo voy el camino de toda la tierra: esfuérzate, y sé varón.

I go the way of all the earth: be thou strong therefore, and shew thyself a man;

“I am going the way of all the earth. You be strong therefore, and show yourself a man;

und warte der Hut des HERRN, deines Gottes, dass du auf seinen Wegen wandelst, indem du seine Satzungen, seine Gebote und seine Rechte und seine Zeugnisse beobachtest, wie geschrieben ist in dem Gesetz Moses; damit es dir gelinge in allem, was du tust, und überall, wohin du dich wendest;

Guarda la ordenanza de Jehová tu Dios, andando en sus caminos, y observando sus estatutos y mandamientos, y sus derechos y sus testimonios, de la manera que está escrito en la ley de Moisés, para que seas dichoso en todo lo que hicieres, y en todo aquello á que te tornares;

And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:

and keep the instruction of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn yourself.

damit der HERR sein Wort aufrecht halte, das er über mich geredet hat, indem er sprach: Wenn deine Söhne auf ihren Weg achthaben, so dass sie vor mir wandeln in Wahrheit, mit ihrem ganzen Herzen und mit ihrer ganzen Seele, so soll es, sprach er, dir nicht an einem Mann fehlen auf dem Thron Israels.

Para que confirme Jehová la palabra que me habló, diciendo: Si tus hijos guardaren su camino, andando delante de mí con verdad, de todo su corazón, y de toda su alma, jamás, dice, faltará á ti varón del trono de Israel.

That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

Then the LORD may establish his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, ‘If your children are careful of their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you,’ he said, ‘a man on the throne of Israel.’

Und du weißt ja auch, was mir Joab getan hat, der Sohn der Zeruja, was er den zwei Heerobersten Israels, Abner, dem Sohn Ners, und Amasa, dem Sohn Jeters, getan hat, indem er sie ermordete und Kriegsblut im Frieden vergoss, so dass er Kriegsblut an seinen Gürtel gebracht hat, der um seine Lenden war, und an seine Schuhe, die an seinen Füßen waren.

Y ya sabes tú lo que me ha hecho Joab hijo de Sarvia, lo que hizo á dos generales del ejército de Israel, á Abner hijo de Ner, y á Amasa hijo de Jether, los cuales él mató, derramando en paz la sangre de guerra, y poniendo la sangre de guerra en su talabarte que tenía sobre sus lomos, y en sus zapatos que tenía en sus pies.

Moreover thou knowest also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that was about his loins, and in his shoes that were on his feet.

“Moreover you know also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, even what he did to the two captains of the armies of Israel, to Abner the son of Ner and to Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war on his sash that was around his waist and in his sandals that were on his feet.

So handle nun nach deiner Weisheit, und lass sein graues Haar nicht in Frieden in den Scheol hinabfahren.

Tú pues harás conforme á tu sabiduría; no dejarás descender sus canas á la huesa en paz.

Do therefore according to thy wisdom, and let not his hoar head go down to the grave in peace.

Do therefore according to your wisdom, and don’t let his gray head go down to Sheol in peace.

Aber an den Söhnen Barsillais, des Gileaditers, sollst du Güte erweisen, und sie sollen unter denen sein, die an deinem Tisch essen; denn so sind sie mir entgegengekommen, als ich vor deinem Bruder Absalom floh.

Mas á los hijos de Barzillai Galaadita harás misericordia, que sean de los convidados á tu mesa; porque ellos vinieron así á mí, cuando iba huyendo de Absalom tu hermano.

But shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at thy table: for so they came to me when I fled because of Absalom thy brother.

But show kindness to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be among those who eat at your table; for so they came to me when I fled from Absalom your brother.

Und siehe, bei dir ist Simei, der Sohn Geras, der Benjaminiter, von Bachurim; und dieser fluchte mir mit heftigem Fluch an dem Tag, da ich nach Machanaim ging. Aber er kam herab, mir entgegen, an den Jordan, und ich schwur ihm bei dem HERRN und sprach: Wenn ich dich mit dem Schwert töte!

También tienes contigo á Semei hijo de Gera, hijo de Benjamín, de Bahurim, el cual me maldijo con una maldición fuerte el día que yo iba á Mahanaim. Mas él mismo descendió á recibirme al Jordán, y yo le juré por Jehová, diciendo: Yo no te mataré á cuchillo.

And, behold, thou hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword.

“Behold, there is with you Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjamite of Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by the LORD, saying, ‘I will not put you to death with the sword.’

Nun aber halte ihn nicht für schuldlos, denn du bist ein weiser Mann und wirst wissen, was du ihm tun sollst; und lass sein graues Haar mit Blut in den Scheol hinabfahren.

Empero ahora no lo absolverás: que hombre sabio eres, y sabes cómo te has de haber con él: y harás descender sus canas con sangre á la sepultura.

Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou art a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood.

Now therefore don’t hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man; and you will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down to Sheol with blood.”

Und David legte sich zu seinen Vätern; und er wurde begraben in der Stadt Davids.

Y David durmió con sus padres, y fué sepultado en la ciudad de David.

So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

Und die Tage, die David über Israel regierte, waren 40 Jahre; in Hebron regierte er 7 Jahre, und in Jerusalem regierte er 33 Jahre.

Los días que reinó David sobre Israel fueron cuarenta años: siete años reinó en Hebrón, y treinta y tres años reinó en Jerusalem.

And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.

Und Salomo saß auf dem Thron seines Vaters David, und sein Königtum wurde sehr befestigt.

Y se sentó Salomón en el trono de David su padre, y fué su reino firme en gran manera.

Then sat Solomon upon the throne of David his father; and his kingdom was established greatly.

Solomon sat on David his father’s throne; and his kingdom was firmly established.

Und Adonija, der Sohn Haggits, kam zu Bathseba, der Mutter Salomos; und sie sprach: Ist Friede dein Kommen? Und er sprach: Friede.

Entonces Adonía hijo de Haggith vino á Bath-sheba madre de Salomón; y ella dijo: ¿Es tu venida de paz? Y él respondió: Sí, de paz.

And Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bath-sheba the mother of Solomon. And she said, Comest thou peaceably? And he said, Peaceably.

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. She said, “Do you come peaceably?” He said, “Peaceably.

Und er sprach: Ich habe ein Wort an dich. Und sie sprach: Rede.

En seguida dijo: Una palabra tengo que decirte. Y ella dijo: Di.

He said moreover, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And she said, Say on.

He said moreover, I have something to tell you.” She said, “Say on.”

Und er sprach: Du weißt ja, dass das Königtum mein war und dass ganz Israel sein Angesicht auf mich gerichtet hatte, dass ich König sein sollte; aber das Königtum hat sich gewandt und ist meinem Bruder geworden, denn von dem HERRN aus gehörte es ihm.

Y él dijo: Tú sabes que el reino era mío, y que todo Israel había puesto en mí su rostro, para que yo reinara: mas el reino fué traspasado, y vino á mi hermano; porque por Jehová era suyo.

And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brother’s: for it was his from the LORD.

He said, “You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign. However, the kingdom is turned around, and has become my brother’s; for it was his from the LORD.

Und nun bitte ich eine Bitte von dir; weise mich nicht ab! Und sie sprach zu ihm: Rede.

Y ahora yo te hago una petición: no me hagas volver mi rostro. Y ella le dijo: Habla.

And now I ask one petition of thee, deny me not. And she said unto him, Say on.

Now I ask one petition of you. Don’t deny me.” She said to him, “Say on.”

Und er sprach: Sprich doch zu dem König Salomo, denn er wird dich nicht abweisen, dass er mir Abischag, die Sunamitin, zur Frau gebe.

El entonces dijo: Yo te ruego que hables al rey Salomón, (porque él no te hará volver tu rostro,) para que me dé á Abisag Sunamita por mujer.

And he said, Speak, I pray thee, unto Solomon the king, (for he will not say thee nay,) that he give me Abishag the Shunammite to wife.

He said, “Please speak to Solomon the king (for he will not tell you ‘no’), that he give me Abishag the Shunammite as wife.”

Und Bathseba sprach: Gut, ich will deinethalben mit dem König reden.

Y Bath-sheba dijo: Bien; yo hablaré por ti al rey.

And Bath-sheba said, Well; I will speak for thee unto the king.

Bathsheba said, “All right. I will speak for you to the king.”

Und Bathseba ging zu dem König Salomo hinein, um wegen Adonijas mit ihm zu reden. Und der König stand auf, ihr entgegen, und beugte sich vor ihr nieder und setzte sich auf seinen Thron; und er ließ einen Thron für die Mutter des Königs hinstellen, und sie setzte sich zu seiner Rechten.

Y vino Bath-sheba al rey Salomón para hablarle por Adonía. Y el rey se levantó á recibirla, é inclinóse á ella, y volvió á sentarse en su trono, é hizo poner una silla á la madre del rey, la cual se sentó á su diestra.

Bath-sheba therefore went unto king Solomon, to speak unto him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself unto her, and sat down on his throne, and caused a seat to be set for the king’s mother; and she sat on his right hand.

Bathsheba therefore went to King Solomon, to speak to him for Adonijah. The king rose up to meet her and bowed himself to her, and sat down on his throne and caused a throne to be set for the king’s mother; and she sat on his right hand.

Und sie sprach: Ich habe eine kleine Bitte an dich; weise mich nicht ab! Und der König sprach zu ihr: Bitte, meine Mutter, denn ich werde dich nicht abweisen.

Y ella dijo: Una pequeña petición pretendo de ti; no me hagas volver mi rostro. Y el rey le dijo: Pide, madre mía, que yo no te haré volver el rostro.

Then she said, I desire one small petition of thee; I pray thee, say me not nay. And the king said unto her, Ask on, my mother: for I will not say thee nay.

Then she said, “I ask one small petition of you; don’t deny me.” The king said to her, “Ask on, my mother, for I will not deny you.”

Und sie sprach: Möchte Abischag, die Sunamitin, deinem Bruder Adonija zur Frau gegeben werden!

Y ella dijo: Dése Abisag Sunamita por mujer á tu hermano Adonía.

And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah thy brother to wife.

She said, “Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother as wife.”

Da antwortete der König Salomo und sprach zu seiner Mutter: Und warum bittest du um Abischag, die Sunamitin, für Adonija? Bitte für ihn auch um das Königtum, – denn er ist mein älterer Bruder – sowohl für ihn, als für Abjathar, den Priester, und für Joab, den Sohn der Zeruja!

Y el rey Salomón respondió, y dijo á su madre: ¿Por qué pides á Abisag Sunamita para Adonía? Demanda también para él el reino, porque él es mi hermano mayor; y tiene también á Abiathar sacerdote, y á Joab hijo de Sarvia.

And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also; for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.

King Solomon answered his mother, “Why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also, for he is my elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.”

Und der König Salomo schwur bei dem HERRN und sprach: So soll mir Gott tun und so hinzufügen! Um sein Leben hat Adonija dieses Wort geredet!

Y el rey Salomón juró por Jehová, diciendo: Así me haga Dios y así me añada, que contra su vida ha hablado Adonía esta palabra.

Then king Solomon sware by the LORD, saying, God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah have not spoken this word against his own life.

Then King Solomon swore by the LORD, saying, “God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah has not spoken this word against his own life.

Und nun, so wahr der HERR lebt, der mich befestigt hat und mich hat sitzen lassen auf dem Thron meines Vaters David und der mir ein Haus gemacht, so wie er geredet hat: Heute soll Adonija getötet werden!

Ahora pues, vive Jehová, que me ha confirmado y me ha puesto sobre el trono de David mi padre, y que me ha hecho casa, como me había dicho, que Adonía morirá hoy.

Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

Now therefore as the LORD lives, who has established me and set me on my father David’s throne, and who has made me a house as he promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death today.”

Und der König Salomo sandte hin durch Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas; und er stieß ihn nieder, und er starb.

Entonces el rey Salomón envió por mano de Benaía hijo de Joiada, el cual dió sobre él, y murió.

And king Solomon sent by the hand of Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell upon him that he died.

King Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell on him, so that he died.

Und zu Abjathar, dem Priester, sprach der König: Geh nach Anatot, auf deine Felder, denn du bist ein Mann des Todes; aber an diesem Tag will ich dich nicht töten, weil du die Lade des Herrn HERRN vor meinem Vater David getragen, und weil du gelitten hast in allem, worin mein Vater gelitten hat.

Y á Abiathar sacerdote dijo el rey: Vete á Anathoth á tus heredades, que tú eres digno de muerte; mas no te mataré hoy, por cuanto has llevado el arca del Señor Jehová delante de David mi padre, y además has sido trabajado en todas las cosas en que fué trabajado mi padre.

And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.

To Abiathar the priest the king said, “Go to Anathoth, to your own fields, for you are worthy of death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you bore the Lord GOD’s ark before David my father, and because you were afflicted in all in which my father was afflicted.”

Und so verstieß Salomo den Abjathar, dass er nicht mehr Priester des HERRN wäre, um das Wort des HERRN zu erfüllen, das er in Silo über das Haus Elis geredet hatte.

Así echó Salomón á Abiathar del sacerdocio de Jehová, para que se cumpliese la palabra de Jehová que había dicho sobre la casa de Eli en Silo.

So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest unto the LORD; that he might fulfil the word of the LORD, which he spake concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

So Solomon thrust Abiathar out from being priest to the LORD, that he might fulfill the LORD’s word which he spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.

Und die Nachricht kam zu Joab; (denn Joab hatte sich nach Adonija geneigt, aber nach Absalom hatte er sich nicht geneigt) da floh Joab zum Zelt des HERRN und erfasste die Hörner des Altars.

Y vino la noticia hasta Joab: porque también Joab se había adherido á Adonía, si bien no se había adherido á Absalom. Y huyó Joab al tabernáculo de Jehová, y asióse á los cornijales del altar.

Then tidings came to Joab: for Joab had turned after Adonijah, though he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

This news came to Joab; for Joab had followed Adonijah, although he didn’t follow Absalom. Joab fled to the LORD’s Tent, and held onto the horns of the altar.

Und es wurde dem König Salomo berichtet: Joab ist zum Zelt des HERRN geflohen, und siehe, er ist neben dem Altar. Da sandte Salomo Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, und sprach: Geh hin, stoße ihn nieder!

Y fué hecho saber á Salomón que Joab había huído al tabernáculo de Jehová, y que estaba junto al altar. Entonces envió Salomón á Benaía hijo de Joiada, diciendo: Ve, y da sobre él.

And it was told king Solomon that Joab was fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD; and, behold, he is by the altar. Then Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, Go, fall upon him.

King Solomon was told, “Joab has fled to the LORD’s Tent; and behold, he is by the altar.” Then Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, “Go, fall on him.”

Und Benaja kam zum Zelt des HERRN und sprach zu Joab: So spricht der König: Geh hinaus! Und er sprach: Nein, sondern hier will ich sterben. Und Benaja brachte dem König Antwort und sprach: So hat Joab geredet, und so hat er mir geantwortet.

Y entró Benaía al tabernáculo de Jehová, y díjole: El rey ha dicho que salgas. Y él dijo: No, sino aquí moriré. Y Benaía volvió con esta respuesta al rey, diciendo: Así habló Joab, y así me respondió.

And Benaiah came to the tabernacle of the LORD, and said unto him, Thus saith the king, Come forth. And he said, Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.

Benaiah came to the LORD’s Tent, and said to him, “The king says, ‘Come out!’” He said, “No; but I will die here.” Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, “This is what Joab said, and this is how he answered me.”

Und der König sprach zu ihm: Tu, wie er geredet hat, und stoße ihn nieder, und begrabe ihn; und so tu das Blut, das Joab ohne Ursache vergossen hat, von mir und von dem Haus meines Vaters weg.

Y el rey le dijo: Haz como él ha dicho; mátale y entiérralo, y quita de mí y de la casa de mi padre la sangre que Joab ha derramado injustamente.

And the king said unto him, Do as he hath said, and fall upon him, and bury him; that thou mayest take away the innocent blood, which Joab shed, from me, and from the house of my father.

The king said to him, “Do as he has said, and fall on him, and bury him, that you may take away the blood, which Joab shed without cause, from me and from my father’s house.

Und der HERR wird sein Blut auf seinen Kopf zurückbringen, weil er zwei Männer niedergestoßen hat, die gerechter und besser waren als er, und sie mit dem Schwert ermordet hat, ohne dass mein Vater David es wusste: Abner, den Sohn Ners, den Heerobersten Israels, und Amasa, den Sohn Jeters, den Heerobersten Judas.

Y Jehová hará tornar su sangre sobre su cabeza: que él ha muerto dos varones más justos y mejores que él, á los cuales mató á cuchillo sin que mi padre David supiese nada: á Abner hijo de Ner, general del ejército de Israel, y á Amasa hijo de Jether, general de ejército de Judá.

And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, my father David not knowing thereof, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.

The LORD will return his blood on his own head, because he fell on two men more righteous and better than he, and killed them with the sword, and my father David didn’t know it: Abner the son of Ner, captain of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the army of Judah.

Und ihr Blut wird zurückkehren auf den Kopf Joabs und auf den Kopf seiner Nachkommen ewiglich; aber David und seinen Nachkommen und seinem Haus und seinem Thron wird Friede sein auf ewig vonseiten des HERRN.

La sangre pues de ellos recaerá sobre la cabeza de Joab, y sobre la cabeza de su simiente para siempre: mas sobre David y sobre su simiente, y sobre su casa y sobre su trono, habrá perpetuamente paz de parte de Jehová.

Their blood shall therefore return upon the head of Joab, and upon the head of his seed for ever: but upon David, and upon his seed, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever from the LORD.

So their blood will return on the head of Joab and on the head of his offspring forever. But for David, for his offspring, for his house, and for his throne, there will be peace forever from the LORD.”

Und Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, ging hinauf und stieß ihn nieder und tötete ihn; und er wurde begraben in seinem Haus in der Wüste.

Entonces Benaía hijo de Joiada subió, y dió sobre él, y matólo; y fué sepultado en su casa en el desierto.

So Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up, and fell upon him, and slew him: and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.

Then Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up and fell on him, and killed him; and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.

Und der König setzte Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, an seiner statt über das Heer; und Zadok, den Priester, setzte der König an die Stelle Abjathars.

Y el rey puso en su lugar á Benaía hijo de Joiada sobre el ejército: y á Sadoc puso el rey por sacerdote en lugar de Abiathar.

And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over the host: and Zadok the priest did the king put in the room of Abiathar.

The king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his place over the army; and the king put Zadok the priest in the place of Abiathar.

Und der König sandte hin und ließ Simei rufen, und er sprach zu ihm: Baue dir ein Haus in Jerusalem, und wohne dort; und du sollst nicht von dort herausgehen, dahin oder dorthin.

Después envió el rey, é hizo venir á Semei, y díjole: Edifícate una casa en Jerusalem, y mora ahí, y no salgas de allá á una parte ni á otra;

And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Build thee an house in Jerusalem, and dwell there, and go not forth thence any whither.

The king sent and called for Shimei, and said to him, “Build yourself a house in Jerusalem, and live there, and don’t go anywhere else.

Und es soll geschehen an dem Tag, da du hinausgehst und den Bach Kidron überschreitest, so wisse bestimmt, dass du sterben musst; dein Blut wird auf deinem Kopf sein.

Porque sabe de cierto que el día que salieres, y pasares el torrente de Cedrón, sin duda morirás, y tu sangre será sobre tu cabeza.

For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out, and passest over the brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon thine own head.

For on the day you go out and pass over the brook Kidron, know for certain that you will surely die. Your blood will be on your own head.”

Und Simei sprach zu dem König: Das Wort ist gut; so wie mein Herr, der König, geredet hat, so wird dein Knecht tun. Und Simei wohnte in Jerusalem eine lange Zeit.

Y Semei dijo al rey: La palabra es buena; como el rey mi señor ha dicho, así lo hará tu siervo. Y habitó Semei en Jerusalem muchos días.

And Shimei said unto the king, The saying is good: as my lord the king hath said, so will thy servant do. And Shimei dwelt in Jerusalem many days.

Shimei said to the king, “What you say is good. As my lord the king has said, so will your servant do.” Shimei lived in Jerusalem many days.

Es geschah aber am Ende von drei Jahren, da entflohen zwei Knechte Simeis zu Achis, dem Sohn Maakas, dem König von Gat; und man berichtete es Simei und sprach: Siehe, deine Knechte sind in Gat!

Pero pasados tres años, aconteció que se le huyeron á Semei dos siervos á Achîs, hijo de Maachâ, rey de Gath. Y dieron aviso á Semei, diciendo: He aquí que tus siervos están en Gath.

And it came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away unto Achish son of Maachah king of Gath. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, thy servants be in Gath.

At the end of three years, two of Shimei’s slaves ran away to Achish, son of Maacah, king of Gath. They told Shimei, saying, “Behold, your slaves are in Gath.”

Da machte sich Simei auf und sattelte seinen Esel und ging nach Gat, zu Achis, um seine Knechte zu suchen; und Simei ging hin und brachte seine Knechte von Gat zurück.

Levantóse entonces Semei, y enalbardó su asno, y fué á Gath, á Achîs, á procurar sus siervos. Fué pues Semei, y volvió sus siervos de Gath.

And Shimei arose, and saddled his ass, and went to Gath to Achish to seek his servants: and Shimei went, and brought his servants from Gath.

Und es wurde Salomo berichtet, dass Simei von Jerusalem nach Gat gegangen und zurückgekommen sei.

Da sandte der König hin und ließ Simei rufen, und er sprach zu ihm: Habe ich dich nicht bei dem HERRN beschworen und dir beteuert und gesagt: An dem Tag, da du hinausgehst und gehst dahin oder dorthin, so wisse bestimmt, dass du sterben musst? Und du sprachst zu mir: Das Wort ist gut, das ich gehört habe.

Entonces el rey envió, é hizo venir á Semei, y díjole: ¿No te conjuré yo por Jehová, y te protesté, diciendo: El día que salieres, y fueres acá ó acullá, sabe de cierto que has de morir? Y tú me dijiste: La palabra es buena, yo la obedezco.

And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Did I not make thee to swear by the LORD, and protested unto thee, saying, Know for a certain, on the day thou goest out, and walkest abroad any whither, that thou shalt surely die? and thou saidst unto me, The word that I have heard is good.

The king sent and called for Shimei, and said to him, “Didn’t I adjure you by the LORD and warn you, saying, ‘Know for certain that on the day you go out and walk anywhere else, you shall surely die’? You said to me, ‘The saying that I have heard is good.’

Und warum hast du den Schwur des HERRN nicht beachtet und das Gebot, das ich dir geboten hatte?

¿Por qué pues no guardaste el juramento de Jehová, y el mandamiento que yo te impuse?

Why then hast thou not kept the oath of the LORD, and the commandment that I have charged thee with?

Why then have you not kept the oath of the LORD and the commandment that I have instructed you with?”

Und der König sprach zu Simei: Du selbst weißt all das Böse, dessen dein Herz sich bewusst ist, das du meinem Vater David getan hast; und so bringt der HERR deine Bosheit auf deinen Kopf zurück.

Dijo además el rey á Semei: Tú sabes todo el mal, el cual tu corazón bien sabe, que cometiste contra mi padre David; Jehová pues, ha tornado el mal sobre tu cabeza.

The king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thine heart is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore the LORD shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head;

Aber der König Salomo wird gesegnet sein, und der Thron Davids wird feststehen vor dem HERRN ewiglich.

Y el rey Salomón será bendito, y el trono de David será firme perpetuamente delante de Jehová.

And king Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the LORD for ever.

Und der König gebot Benaja, dem Sohn Jojadas; und er ging hinaus und stieß ihn nieder, und er starb. Und das Königtum wurde befestigt in der Hand Salomos.

Entonces el rey mandó á Benaía hijo de Joiada, el cual salió é hirióle; y murió. Y el reino fué confirmado en la mano de Salomón.

So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; which went out, and fell upon him, that he died. And the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.
