Et la femme dont le fils était vivant dit au roi, car son cœur se serrait pour son fils : Je t'en prie, mon seigneur, donnez-lui l'enfant qui vit et qu'on ne le tue pas ! Et l'autre disait : il ne sera ni à moi, ni à toi ; partagez !
Entonces la mujer cuyo era el hijo vivo, habló al rey (porque sus entrañas se le conmovieron por su hijo), y dijo: ¡Ah, señor mío! dad á ésta el niño vivo, y no lo matéis. Mas la otra dijo: Ni á mí ni á ti; partidlo.
Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.
Then the woman whose the living child was spoke to the king, for her heart yearned over her son, and she said, “Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and in no way kill him!” But the other said, “He shall be neither mine nor yours. Divide him.”
