Et la femme à qui était l'enfant vivant se hâta de parler au roi, car ses entrailles étaient troublées à cause de son fils, et elle dit : Je te prie, Seigneur, qu'on lui donne l'enfant, qu'on ne le fasse pas mourir. Mais l'autre dit : Qu'il ne soit ni pour elle, ni pour moi, partagez-le.
Entonces la mujer cuyo era el hijo vivo, habló al rey (porque sus entrañas se le conmovieron por su hijo), y dijo: ¡Ah, señor mío! dad á ésta el niño vivo, y no lo matéis. Mas la otra dijo: Ni á mí ni á ti; partidlo.
Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.
Then the woman whose the living child was spoke to the king, for her heart yearned over her son, and she said, “Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and in no way kill him!” But the other said, “He shall be neither mine nor yours. Divide him.”
