A pesar de que Salomón amaba al Señor y obedecía todas las instrucciones de su padre David, seguía acudiendo a los pequeños santuarios, que estaban en las colinas, a ofrecer sacrificios y quemar incienso.

Mas Salomón amó á Jehová, andando en los estatutos de su padre David: solamente sacrificaba y quemaba perfumes en los altos.
