Or Salomon s’allia avec Pharaon Roi d’Egypte, et prit pour femme la fille de Pharaon, et l’amena en la Cité de David, jusqu’à ce qu’il eût achevé de bâtir sa maison, et la maison de l’Eternel, et la muraille de Jérusalem tout à l’entour.

Y SALOMÓN hizo parentesco con Faraón rey de Egipto, porque tomó la hija de Faraón, y trájola á la ciudad de David, entre tanto que acababa de edificar su casa, y la casa de Jehová, y los muros de Jerusalem alrededor.

And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh’s daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the LORD, and the wall of Jerusalem round about.

Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt. He took Pharaoh’s daughter and brought her into David’s city until he had finished building his own house, the LORD’s house, and the wall around Jerusalem.

Seulement le peuple sacrifiait dans les hauts lieux, parce que jusques alors on n’avait point bâti de maison au Nom de l’Eternel.

Hasta entonces el pueblo sacrificaba en los altos; porque no había casa edificada al nombre de Jehová hasta aquellos tiempos.

Et l’Eternel apparut de nuit à Salomon à Gabaon dans un songe, et Dieu lui dit : Demande ce que tu veux que je te donne.

Et Salomon répondit : Tu as usé d’une grande gratuité envers ton serviteur David mon père, selon qu’il a marché devant toi en vérité, en justice, et en droiture de coeur envers toi, et tu lui as gardé cette grande gratuité de lui avoir donné un fils qui est assis sur son trône, comme il paraît aujourd’hui.

Y Salomón dijo: Tú hiciste gran misericordia á tu siervo David mi padre, según que él anduvo delante de ti en verdad, en justicia, y con rectitud de corazón para contigo: y tú le has guardado esta tu grande misericordia, que le diste hijo que se sentase en su trono, como sucede en este día.

And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

Solomon said, “You have shown to your servant David my father great loving kindness, because he walked before you in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you. You have kept for him this great loving kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.

Or maintenant, ô Eternel mon Dieu ! tu as fait régner ton serviteur en la place de David mon père, et je ne suis qu’un jeune homme, qui ne sait point comment il faut se conduire.

Ahora pues, Jehová Dios mío, tú has puesto á mí tu siervo por rey en lugar de David mi padre: y yo soy mozo pequeño, que no sé cómo entrar ni salir.

And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

Et ton serviteur est parmi ton peuple, que tu as choisi, et qui est un grand peuple qui ne se peut compter ni nombrer, tant il est en grand nombre.

Y tu siervo está en medio de tu pueblo al cual tú escogiste; un pueblo grande, que no se puede contar ni numerar por su multitud.

And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

Your servant is among your people which you have chosen, a great people, that can’t be numbered or counted for multitude.

Donne donc à ton serviteur un coeur intelligent pour juger ton peuple, et pour discerner entre le bien et le mal ; car qui pourrait juger ton peuple, qui est d’une si grande conséquence ?

Da pues á tu siervo corazón dócil para juzgar á tu pueblo, para discernir entre lo bueno y lo malo: porque ¿quién podrá gobernar este tu pueblo tan grande?

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?”

Et ce discours plut à l’Eternel, en ce que Salomon lui avait fait une telle demande.

Y agradó delante de Adonai que Salomón pidiese esto.

And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

Et Dieu lui dit : Parce que tu m’as fait cette demande, et que tu n’as point demandé une longue vie, et que tu n’as point demandé des richesses, et que tu n’as point demandé la mort de tes ennemis, mais que tu as demandé de l’intelligence pour rendre la justice ;

Y díjole Dios: Porque has demandado esto, y no pediste para ti muchos días, ni pediste para ti riquezas, ni pediste la vida de tus enemigos, mas demandaste para ti inteligencia para oir juicio;

And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have you asked for riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,

Voici, j’ai fait selon ta parole ; voici, je t’ai donné un coeur sage et intelligent, de sorte qu’il n’y en a point eu de semblable avant toi, et il n’y en aura point après toi qui te soit semblable.

He aquí lo he hecho conforme á tus palabras: he aquí que te he dado corazón sabio y entendido, tanto que no haya habido antes de ti otro como tú, ni después de ti se levantará otro como tú.

Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

behold, I have done according to your word. Behold, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, and after you none will arise like you.

Et même je t’ai donné ce que tu n’as point demandé, savoir les richesses et la gloire, de sorte qu’il n’y aura point eu de Roi semblable à toi entre les Rois, tant que tu vivras.

Y aun también te he dado las cosas que no pediste, riquezas y gloria: tal, que entre los reyes ninguno haya como tú en todos tus días.

And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

Et si tu marches dans mes voies pour garder mes ordonnances et mes commandements, comme David ton père y a marché, je prolongerai aussi tes jours.

Y si anduvieres en mis caminos, guardando mis estatutos y mis mandamientos, como anduvo David tu padre, yo alargaré tus días.

And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.

If you will walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

Alors Salomon se réveilla, et voilà le songe. Puis il s’en retourna à Jérusalem, et se tint devant l’Arche de l’alliance de l’Eternel, et offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices de prospérités, et fit un festin à tous ses serviteurs.

Y como Salomón despertó, vió que era sueño: y vino á Jerusalem, y presentóse delante del arca del pacto de Jehová, y sacrificó holocaustos, é hizo pacíficos; hizo también banquete á todos sus siervos.

And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.

Alors deux femmes de mauvaise vie vinrent au Roi, et se présentèrent devant lui.

En aquella sazón vinieron dos mujeres rameras al rey, y presentáronse delante de él.

Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.

Et l’une de ces femmes dit : Hélas, mon Seigneur ! Nous demeurions cette femme-ci et moi dans une même maison, et j’ai accouché chez elle dans cette maison-là.

Y dijo la una mujer: ¡Ah, señor mío! yo y esta mujer morábamos en una misma casa, y yo parí estando con ella en la casa.

And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.

Le troisième jour après mon accouchement cette femme a aussi accouché, et nous étions ensemble ; il n’y avait aucun étranger avec nous dans cette maison, nous étions seulement nous deux dans cette maison.

Y aconteció al tercer día después que yo parí, que ésta parió también, y morábamos nosotras juntas; ninguno de fuera estaba en casa, sino nosotras dos en la casa.

And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.

Or l’enfant de cette femme est mort la nuit, parce qu’elle s’était couchée sur lui.

Y una noche el hijo de esta mujer murió, porque ella se acostó sobre él.

Y levantóse á media noche, y tomó á mi hijo de junto á mí, estando yo tu sierva durmiendo, y púsolo á su lado, y púsome á mi lado su hijo muerto.

And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.

Et l’autre femme répondit : Cela n’est pas ainsi, mais celui qui vit est mon fils, et celui qui est mort est ton fils. Mais l’autre dit : Cela n’est pas ainsi; mais celui qui est mort est ton fils, et celui qui vit est mon fils. Elles parlaient ainsi devant le Roi.

Entonces la otra mujer dijo: No; mi hijo es el que vive, y tu hijo es el muerto. Y la otra volvió á decir: No; tu hijo es el muerto, y mi hijo es el que vive. Así hablaban delante del rey.

And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.

The other woman said, “No! But the living one is my son, and the dead one is your son.” The first one said, “No! But the dead one is your son, and the living one is my son.” They argued like this before the king.

Et le Roi dit : Celle-ci dit, celui-ci qui est en vie est mon fils, et celui qui est mort est ton fils ; et celle-là dit, cela n’est pas ainsi; mais celui qui est mort est ton fils, et celui qui vit est mon fils.

El rey entonces dijo: Esta dice: Mi hijo es el que vive, y tu hijo es el muerto: y la otra dice, No, mas el tuyo es el muerto, y mi hijo es el que vive.

Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living.

Then the king said, “One says, ‘This is my son who lives, and your son is the dead one;’ and the other says, ‘No! But your son is the dead one, and my son is the living one.’”

Alors le Roi dit : Apportez-moi une épée. Et on apporta une épée devant le Roi.

Y dijo el rey: Traedme un cuchillo. Y trajeron al rey un cuchillo.

And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.

The king said, “Get me a sword.” So they brought a sword before the king.

Et le Roi dit : Partagez en deux l’enfant qui vit, et donnez-en la moitié à l’une et la moitié à l’autre.

En seguida el rey dijo: Partid por medio el niño vivo, y dad la mitad á la una, y la otra mitad á la otra.

And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

Alors la femme dont le fils était vivant, dit au Roi ; car ses entrailles furent émues de compassion envers son fils : Hélas ! mon Seigneur, qu’on donne à celle-ci l’enfant qui vit, et qu’on se garde bien de le faire mourir ! Mais l’autre dit : Il ne sera ni à moi ni à toi ; qu’on le partage.

Entonces la mujer cuyo era el hijo vivo, habló al rey (porque sus entrañas se le conmovieron por su hijo), y dijo: ¡Ah, señor mío! dad á ésta el niño vivo, y no lo matéis. Mas la otra dijo: Ni á mí ni á ti; partidlo.

Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

Then the woman whose the living child was spoke to the king, for her heart yearned over her son, and she said, “Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and in no way kill him!” But the other said, “He shall be neither mine nor yours. Divide him.”

Alors le Roi répondit, et dit : Donnez à celle-ci l’enfant qui vit, et qu’on se garde bien de le faire mourir ; celle-ci est la mère.

Entonces el rey respondió, y dijo: Dad á aquélla el hijo vivo, y no lo matéis: ella es su madre.

Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.

Et tous ceux d’Israël ayant entendu parler du jugement que le Roi avait rendu, craignirent le Roi ; car ils reconnurent qu’il y avait en lui une sagesse divine pour rendre la justice.

Y todo Israel oyó aquel juicio que había dado el rey: y temieron al rey, porque vieron que había en él sabiduría de Dios para juzgar.

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.
