1 Reyes 4

Diodati 1885

1IL re Salomone adunque fu re sopra tutto Israele.

2E questi erano i principali signori della sua corte: Azaria, figliuolo di Sadoc, era Governatore;

3Elihoref ed Ahia, figliuoli di Sisa, erano Segretari; Iosafat, figliuolo di Ahilud, era Cancelliere;

4Benaia, figliuolo di Ioiada, era Capo dell'esercito; e Sadoc ed Ebiatar erano Sacerdoti;

5ed Azaria, figliuolo di Natan, era sopra i commissari; e Zabud, figliuolo di Natan, era principale Ufficiale, famigliare del re;

14Ahinadab, figliuolo d'Iddo, in Mahanaim.

22Ora la provvisione della vittuaglia di Salomone, per ciascun giorno, era di trenta cori di fior di farina, e di sessanta cori d' altra farina;

30E la sapienza di Salomone fu maggiore che la sapienza di tutti gli Orientali, e che tutta la sapienza degli Egizi;

2Y estos fueron los príncipes que tuvo: Azarías hijo de Sadoc, sacerdote;

3Elioreph y Ahía, hijos de Sisa, escribas; Josaphat hijo de Ahilud, canciller;

4Benaía hijo de Joiada era sobre el ejército; y Sadoc y Abiathar eran los sacerdotes;

5Azaría hijo de Nathán era sobre los gobernadores; Zabud hijo de Nathán era principal oficial, amigo del rey;

8Y estos son los nombres de ellos: el hijo de Hur en el monte de Ephraim;

9El hijo de Decar, en Maccas, y en Saalbim, y en Beth-semes, y en Elón, y en Beth-hanan;

11El hijo de Abinadab, en todos los términos de Dor: éste tenía por mujer á Thaphat hija de Salomón;

12Baana hijo de Ahilud, en Taanach y Megiddo, y en toda Beth-san, que es cerca de Zaretán, por bajo de Jezreel, desde Beth-san hasta Abel-mehola, y hasta la otra parte de Jocmeam;

13El hijo de Geber, en Ramoth de Galaad; éste tenía también las ciudades de Jair hijo de Manasés, las cuales estaban en Galaad; tenía también la provincia de Argob, que era en Basán, sesenta grandes ciudades con muro y cerraduras de bronce;

14Ahinadab hijo de Iddo, en Mahanaim;

16Baana hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Aloth;

17Josaphat hijo de Pharua, en Issachâr;

18Semei hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;

21And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

24For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.

26And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

28Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

30And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

32And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

33And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

21Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty cors of fine flour, sixty measures of meal,

23ten head of fat cattle, twenty head of cattle out of the pastures, and one hundred sheep, in addition to deer, gazelles, roebucks, and fattened fowl.

24For he had dominion over all on this side of the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side of the River; and he had peace on all sides around him.

25Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

29God gave Solomon abundant wisdom, understanding, and breadth of mind like the sand that is on the seashore.
