1Und so war der König Salomo König über ganz Israel.
2Und dies sind die Obersten, die er hatte: Asarja, der Sohn Zadoks, war der Priester;
3Elichoreph und Achija, die Söhne Schischas, waren Schreiber; Josaphat, der Sohn Ahiluds, war Geschichtsschreiber;
4und Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, war über das Heer; und Zadok und Abjathar waren Priester;
5und Asarja, der Sohn Nathans, war über die Aufseher; und Sabut, der Sohn Nathans, war Krondiener, des Königs Freund;
6und Achischar war über das Haus, und Adoniram, der Sohn Abdas, über die Fron.
7Und Salomo hatte zwölf Aufseher über ganz Israel, und sie versorgten den König und sein Haus; einen Monat im Jahre lag jedem die Versorgung ob.
8Und dies sind ihre Namen: Ben-Hur im Gebirge Ephraim;
9Ben-Deker in Makaz und in Schaalbim und Beth-Semes und Elon-Beth-Hanan;
10Ben-Hesed in Arubboth: Er hatte Soko und das ganze Land Hepher.
11Ben-Abinadab hatte das ganze Hügelgebiet von Dor; Taphath, die Tochter Salomos, war sein Weib.
12Baana, der Sohn Ahiluds, hatte Taanak und Megiddo und ganz Beth-Schean, das neben Zarethan liegt, unterhalb Jisreel, von Beth-Schean bis Abel-Mehola, bis jenseits Jokmeam.
13Ben-Geber in Ramoth-Gilead; er hatte die Dörfer Jairs, des Sohnes Manasses, die in Gilead sind; er hatte den Landstrich Argob, der in Basan ist, sechzig große Städte mit Mauern und ehernen Riegeln.
14Achinadab, der Sohn Iddos, in Machanaim;
15Achimaaz in Naphtali; auch er hatte Basmath, die Tochter Salomos, zum Weibe genommen;
16Baana, der Sohn Husais, in Aser und Bealoth;
17Josaphat, der Sohn Paruachs, in Issaschar;
18Simei, der Sohn Elas, in Benjamin;
19Geber, der Sohn Uris, im Lande Gilead, dem Lande Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, und Ogs, des Königs von Basan; und nur ein Aufseher war in diesem Lande.
20Juda und Israel waren zahlreich, wie der Sand, der am Meere ist, an Menge; sie aßen und tranken und waren fröhlich.
21Und Salomo war Herrscher über alle Königreiche, von dem Strome an bis zu dem Lande der Philister und bis zu der Grenze Ägyptens; sie brachten Geschenke und dienten Salomo alle Tage seines Lebens.
22Und der Speisebedarf Salomos für einen Tag war: dreißig Kor Feinmehl und sechzig Kor Mehl,
23zehn gemästete Rinder und zwanzig Weiderinder und hundert Schafe; ohne die Hirsche und Gazellen und Damhirsche und das gemästete Geflügel.
24Denn er herrschte über das ganze Land diesseit des Stromes, von Tiphsach bis Gasa, über alle Könige diesseit des Stromes; und er hatte Frieden auf allen Seiten ringsum.
25Und Juda und Israel wohnten in Sicherheit, ein jeder unter seinem Weinstock und unter seinem Feigenbaum, von Dan bis Beerseba, alle Tage Salomos.
26Und Salomo hatte vierzigtausend Stände für Rosse zu seinen Wagen, und zwölftausend Reiter.
27Und jene Aufseher versorgten den König Salomo und alle, die zum Tische des Königs Salomo kamen, ein jeder in seinem Monat; sie ließen es an nichts fehlen.
28Und die Gerste und das Stroh für die Rosse und für die Renner brachten sie an den Ort, wo er war, ein jeder nach seiner Vorschrift.
29Und Gott gab Salomo Weisheit und sehr große Einsicht, und Weite des Herzens, wie der Sand, der am Ufer des Meeres ist.
30Und die Weisheit Salomos war größer als die Weisheit aller Söhne des Ostens und als alle Weisheit Ägyptens.
31Und er war weiser als alle Menschen, als Ethan, der Esrachiter, und Heman und Kalkol und Darda, die Söhne Machols. Und sein Name war unter allen Nationen ringsum.
32Und er redete dreitausend Sprüche, und seiner Lieder waren tausendundfünf.
33Und er redete über die Bäume, von der Zeder, die auf dem Libanon ist, bis zum Ysop, der an der Mauer herauswächst; und er redete über das Vieh und über die Vögel und über das Gewürm und über die Fische.
34Und man kam aus allen Völkern, um die Weisheit Salomos zu hören, von allen Königen der Erde her, die von seiner Weisheit gehört hatten.

2Y estos fueron los príncipes que tuvo: Azarías hijo de Sadoc, sacerdote;
3Elioreph y Ahía, hijos de Sisa, escribas; Josaphat hijo de Ahilud, canciller;
4Benaía hijo de Joiada era sobre el ejército; y Sadoc y Abiathar eran los sacerdotes;
5Azaría hijo de Nathán era sobre los gobernadores; Zabud hijo de Nathán era principal oficial, amigo del rey;

19Geber hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la tierra de Sehón rey de los Amorrheos, y de Og rey de Basán; éste era el único gobernador en aquella tierra.
20Judá é Israel eran muchos, como la arena que está junto á la mar en multitud, comiendo y bebiendo y alegrándose.
21Y Salomón señoreaba sobre todos los reinos, desde el río de la tierra de los Filisteos hasta el término de Egipto: y traían presentes, y sirvieron á Salomón todos los días que vivió.
22Y la despensa de Salomón era cada día treinta coros de flor de harina, y sesenta coros de harina.
23Diez bueyes engordados, y veinte bueyes de pasto, y cien ovejas; sin los ciervos, cabras, búfalos, y aves engordadas.
24Porque él señoreaba en toda la región que estaba de la otra parte del río, desde Tiphsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes de la otra parte del río; y tuvo paz por todos lados en derredor suyo.
25Y Judá é Israel vivían seguros, cada uno debajo de su parra y debajo de su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beer-seba, todos los días de Salomón.
26Tenía además de esto Salomón cuarenta mil caballos en sus caballerizas para sus carros, y doce mil jinetes.
27Y estos gobernadores mantenían al rey Salomón, y á todos los que á la mesa del rey Salomón venían, cada uno un mes; y hacían que nada faltase.
28Hacían también traer cebada y paja para los caballos y para las bestias de carga, al lugar donde él estaba, cada uno conforme al cargo que tenía.
29Y dió Dios á Salomón sabiduría, y prudencia muy grande, y anchura de corazón como la arena que está á la orilla del mar.
30Que fué mayor la sabiduría de Salomón que la de todos los orientales, y que toda la sabiduría de los Egipcios.
31Y aun fué más sabio que todos los hombres; más que Ethán Ezrahita, y que Emán y Calchôl y Darda, hijos de Mahol: y fué nombrado entre todas las naciones de alrededor.
32Y propuso tres mil parábolas; y sus versos fueron mil y cinco.
33También disertó de los árboles, desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que nace en la pared. Asimismo disertó de los animales, de las aves, de los reptiles, y de los peces.
34Y venían de todos los pueblos á oir la sabiduría de Salomón, y de todos los reyes de la tierra, donde había llegado la fama de su sabiduría.

1So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

15Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

5Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, the king’s friend;
6Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.
7Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for a month in the year.
8These are their names: Ben Hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
9Ben Deker, in Makaz, in Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh, and Elon Beth Hanan;

25Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
26Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27Those officers provided food for King Solomon, and for all who came to King Solomon’s table, every man in his month. They let nothing be lacking.
28They also brought barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds to the place where the officers were, each man according to his duty.
29God gave Solomon abundant wisdom, understanding, and breadth of mind like the sand that is on the seashore.
30Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31For he was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations all around.
