1 Reyes 4

1Il re Salomone regnava su tutto Israele. E questi erano i suoi principali ufficiali:
2Azaria, figliuolo del sacerdote Tsadok,
3Elihoref ed Ahija, figliuoli di Scisa, erano segretari; Giosafat, figliuolo di Ahilud, era cancelliere;
4Benaia, figliuolo di Jehoiada, era capo dell’esercito, Tsadok e Abiathar erano sacerdoti;
8Questi erano i loro nomi: Ben Hur, nella contrada montuosa di Efraim;
9Ben-Deker, a Makats, a Shaalbim, a Beth-Scemesh, a Elon di Beth-Hanan;
10Ben-Hesed, ad Arubboth; aveva Soco e tutto il paese di Hefer;
11Ben-Abinadab, in tutta la regione di Dor; Tafath, figliuola di Salomone era sua moglie;
12Baana, figliuolo d’Ahilud, avea Taanac, Meghiddo e tutto Beth-Scean, che è presso a Tsarthan, sotto Jizreel, da Beth-Scean ad Abel-Mehola, e fino al di là di Iokmeam;
13Ben-Gheber, a Ramoth di Galaad; egli aveva i villaggi di Jair, figliuolo di Manasse, che sono in Galaad; aveva anche la regione di Argob ch’è in Basan, sessanta grandi città murate e munite di sbarre di rame;
14Ahinadab, figliuolo d’Iddo, a Mahanaim;
15Ahimaats, in Neftali; anche questi avea preso per moglie Basmath, figliuola di Salomone;
16Baana, figliuolo di Hushai, in Ascer e ad Aloth;
17Giosafat, figliuolo di Parna, in Issacar;
18Scimei, figliuolo di Ela, in Beniamino;
22Or la provvisione de’ viveri di Salomone, per ogni giorno, consisteva in trenta cori di fior di farina e sessanta cori di farina ordinaria;

2Y estos fueron los príncipes que tuvo: Azarías hijo de Sadoc, sacerdote;
3Elioreph y Ahía, hijos de Sisa, escribas; Josaphat hijo de Ahilud, canciller;
4Benaía hijo de Joiada era sobre el ejército; y Sadoc y Abiathar eran los sacerdotes;
5Azaría hijo de Nathán era sobre los gobernadores; Zabud hijo de Nathán era principal oficial, amigo del rey;
8Y estos son los nombres de ellos: el hijo de Hur en el monte de Ephraim;
9El hijo de Decar, en Maccas, y en Saalbim, y en Beth-semes, y en Elón, y en Beth-hanan;
11El hijo de Abinadab, en todos los términos de Dor: éste tenía por mujer á Thaphat hija de Salomón;
12Baana hijo de Ahilud, en Taanach y Megiddo, y en toda Beth-san, que es cerca de Zaretán, por bajo de Jezreel, desde Beth-san hasta Abel-mehola, y hasta la otra parte de Jocmeam;
13El hijo de Geber, en Ramoth de Galaad; éste tenía también las ciudades de Jair hijo de Manasés, las cuales estaban en Galaad; tenía también la provincia de Argob, que era en Basán, sesenta grandes ciudades con muro y cerraduras de bronce;
14Ahinadab hijo de Iddo, en Mahanaim;
16Baana hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Aloth;
17Josaphat hijo de Pharua, en Issachâr;
18Semei hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;

26And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
