5Por lo tanto, me he propuesto construir un templo en honor al nombre de Yahvé mi Dios, tal como Yahvé se lo prometió a mi padre David cuando le dijo: “Tu hijo, a quien yo pondré en el trono para que te suceda, será quien construya el templo en mi honor”.

5And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

5Behold, I intend to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father, saying, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place shall build the house for my name.’
