Et Hiram, roi de Tyr, envoya ses serviteurs vers Salomon, quand il eut appris qu'on l'avait oint pour roi à la place de son père, car Hiram avait toujours été l'ami de David.

HIRAM rey de Tiro envió también sus siervos á Salomón, luego que oyó que lo habían ungido por rey en lugar de su padre: porque Hiram había siempre amado á David.

And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

Tu sais que David, mon père, n'a pu bâtir une maison à l'honneur de l'Eternel, son Dieu, à cause des guerres dont ses ennemis l'entourèrent jusqu'à ce que l'Eternel les eût mis sous la plante de ses pieds.

Tú sabes como mi padre David no pudo edificar casa al nombre de Jehová su Dios, por las guerras que le cercaron, hasta que Jehová puso sus enemigos bajo las plantas de sus pies.

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

“You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were around him on every side, until the LORD put his enemies under the soles of his feet.

Et maintenant, l'Eternel mon Dieu m'a donné du repos de tous côtés ; je n'ai ni adversaire, ni affaire fâcheuse.

Ahora Jehová mi Dios me ha dado reposo por todas partes; que ni hay adversarios, ni mal encuentro.

Voici, je me propose de bâtir une maison à l'honneur de l'Eternel, mon Dieu, selon que l'Eternel en a parlé à David, mon père, en disant : Ton fils que je mettrai à ta place sur ton trône, ce sera lui qui bâtira une maison en mon nom.

Yo por tanto he determinado ahora edificar casa al nombre de Jehová mi Dios, como Jehová lo habló á David mi padre, diciendo: Tu hijo, que yo pondré en lugar tuyo en tu trono, él edificará casa á mi nombre.

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

Behold, I intend to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father, saying, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place shall build the house for my name.’

Ordonne maintenant que l'on coupe pour moi des cèdres sur le Liban ; mes serviteurs seront avec tes serviteurs, et je te donnerai pour le salaire de tes serviteurs tout ce que tu demanderas, car tu sais bien qu'il n'y a personne parmi nous qui s'entende à couper le bois comme les Sidoniens.

Manda pues ahora que me corten cedros del Líbano; y mis siervos estarán con los tuyos, y yo te daré por tus siervos el salario que tú dijeres: porque tú sabes bien que ninguno hay entre nosotros que sepa labrar la madera como los Sidonios.

Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

Now therefore command that cedar trees be cut for me out of Lebanon. My servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you say. For you know that there is nobody among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”

Et quand Hiram entendit les paroles de Salomon, il en eut une grande joie et il dit : Béni soit aujourd'hui l'Eternel, qui a donné à David un fils sage pour régner sur ce grand peuple !

Y como Hiram oyó las palabras de Salomón, holgóse en gran manera, y dijo: Bendito sea hoy Jehová, que dió hijo sabio á David sobre este pueblo tan grande.

And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

Et Hiram envoya vers Salomon pour lui dire : J'ai reçu ton message ; je ferai tout ce que tu désires au sujet des bois de cèdre et des bois de cyprès.

Y envió Hiram á decir á Salomón: He oído lo que me mandaste á decir: yo haré todo lo que te pluguiere acerca de la madera de cedro, y la madera de haya.

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

Mes serviteurs les descendront du Liban à la mer, et je les expédierai par mer en radeaux jusqu'au lieu que tu m'indiqueras ; là, je les ferai délier et tu les emporteras. Et tu feras ce que je désire en fournissant de vivres ma maison.

Mis siervos la llevarán desde el Líbano á la mar; y yo la pondré en balsas por la mar hasta el lugar que tú me señalares, y allí se desatará, y tú la tomarás: y tú harás mi voluntad en dar de comer á mi familia.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

Hiram donc donna à Salomon des bois de cèdre et des bois de cyprès, autant qu'il en voulut.

Dió pues Hiram á Salomón madera de cedro y madera de haya todo lo que quiso.

So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.

Dió pues Jehová á Salomón sabiduría como le había dicho: y hubo paz entre Hiram y Salomón, é hicieron alianza entre ambos.
