Et Salomon domina sur tous les royaumes, depuis le fleuve jusqu’au pays des Philistins, et jusqu’à la frontière d’Égypte : ils apportèrent des présents et servirent Salomon tous les jours de sa vie.

HIRAM rey de Tiro envió también sus siervos á Salomón, luego que oyó que lo habían ungido por rey en lugar de su padre: porque Hiram había siempre amado á David.

And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

Et l’ordinaire de Salomon, pour un jour, était : 30 cors de fleur de farine, et 60 cors de farine,

Entonces Salomón envió á decir á Hiram:

Tú sabes como mi padre David no pudo edificar casa al nombre de Jehová su Dios, por las guerras que le cercaron, hasta que Jehová puso sus enemigos bajo las plantas de sus pies.

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

“You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which were around him on every side, until the LORD put his enemies under the soles of his feet.

Car il dominait sur tout †ce qui était en deçà du fleuve, depuis Thiphsakh jusqu’à Gaza, sur tous les rois en deçà du fleuve ; et il était en paix avec tous ses alentours, de tous côtés.

Ahora Jehová mi Dios me ha dado reposo por todas partes; que ni hay adversarios, ni mal encuentro.

But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

Et Juda et Israël habitèrent en sécurité, chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, depuis Dan jusqu’à Beër-Shéba, tous les jours de Salomon.

Yo por tanto he determinado ahora edificar casa al nombre de Jehová mi Dios, como Jehová lo habló á David mi padre, diciendo: Tu hijo, que yo pondré en lugar tuyo en tu trono, él edificará casa á mi nombre.

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

Behold, I intend to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father, saying, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place shall build the house for my name.’

Et Salomon avait 40 000 stalles pour les chevaux de ses chars, et 12 000 cavaliers.

Manda pues ahora que me corten cedros del Líbano; y mis siervos estarán con los tuyos, y yo te daré por tus siervos el salario que tú dijeres: porque tú sabes bien que ninguno hay entre nosotros que sepa labrar la madera como los Sidonios.

Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

Now therefore command that cedar trees be cut for me out of Lebanon. My servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants according to all that you say. For you know that there is nobody among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”

Et ces intendants pourvoyaient à l’entretien du roi Salomon et de tous ceux qui venaient à la table du roi Salomon, chacun en son mois ; ils ne laissaient rien manquer.

Y como Hiram oyó las palabras de Salomón, holgóse en gran manera, y dijo: Bendito sea hoy Jehová, que dió hijo sabio á David sobre este pueblo tan grande.

And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

Et ils faisaient venir l’orge et la paille pour les chevaux et les coursiers au lieu où était †l’intendant, chacun selon sa règle.

Y envió Hiram á decir á Salomón: He oído lo que me mandaste á decir: yo haré todo lo que te pluguiere acerca de la madera de cedro, y la madera de haya.

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

Et Dieu donna à Salomon de la sagesse et une très grande intelligence, et un cœur large comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer.

Mis siervos la llevarán desde el Líbano á la mar; y yo la pondré en balsas por la mar hasta el lugar que tú me señalares, y allí se desatará, y tú la tomarás: y tú harás mi voluntad en dar de comer á mi familia.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

Et la sagesse de Salomon était plus grande que la sagesse de tous les fils de l’orient et toute la sagesse de l’Égypte.

Dió pues Hiram á Salomón madera de cedro y madera de haya todo lo que quiso.

So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.

Et il était plus sage qu’aucun homme, plus qu’Éthan, l’Ezrakhite, et qu’Héman, et Calcol, et Darda, les fils de Makhol. Et sa renommée était †répandue parmi toutes les nations, à l’entour.

Et il proféra 3 000 proverbes, et ses cantiques furent †au nombre de 1 005.

Dió pues Jehová á Salomón sabiduría como le había dicho: y hubo paz entre Hiram y Salomón, é hicieron alianza entre ambos.

Et il parla sur les arbres, depuis le cèdre qui est sur le Liban, jusqu’à l’hysope qui sort du mur ; et il parla sur les bêtes, et sur les oiseaux, et sur les reptiles, et sur les poissons.

Y el rey Salomón impuso tributo á todo Israel, y el tributo fué de treinta mil hombres:

Los cuales enviaba al Líbano de diez mil en diez mil, cada mes por su turno, viniendo así á estar un mes en el Líbano, y dos meses en sus casas: y Adoniram estaba sobre aquel tributo.

Tenía también Salomón setenta mil que llevaban las cargas, y ochenta mil cortadores en el monte;

Et Salomon envoya vers Hiram, disant :

Sin los principales oficiales de Salomón que estaban sobre la obra, tres mil y trescientos, los cuales tenían cargo del pueblo que hacía la obra.

Beside the chief of Solomon’s officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.

Tu sais, quant à David, mon père, qu’il ne put bâtir une maison pour le nom de l’Éternel, son Dieu, à cause de la guerre dont †ses ennemis l’entourèrent jusqu’à ce que l’Éternel les mit sous la plante de ses pieds.

Y mandó el rey que trajesen grandes piedras, piedras de precio, para los cimientos de la casa, y piedras labradas.

And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

Mais maintenant l’Éternel, mon Dieu, m’a donné de la tranquillité de tous les côtés ; il n’y a ni adversaire ni événement fâcheux.

Y los albañiles de Salomón y los de Hiram, y los aparejadores, cortaron y aparejaron la madera y la cantería para labrar la casa.

And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

Et maintenant, commande qu’on me coupe des cèdres dans le Liban ; et mes serviteurs seront avec tes serviteurs, et je te donnerai les gages de tes serviteurs selon tout ce que tu †me diras ; car tu sais qu’il n’y a personne parmi nous qui s’entende à couper le bois comme les Sidoniens.

Et il arriva, quand Hiram entendit les paroles de Salomon, qu’il s’en réjouit beaucoup ; et il dit : Béni soit aujourd’hui l’Éternel, qui a donné à David un fils sage, sur ce grand peuple !

Et Hiram envoya à Salomon, disant : J’ai entendu ce que tu m’as envoyé †dire ; je ferai tout ce que tu désires, à l’égard des bois de cèdre et des bois de cyprès.

Mes serviteurs les descendront du Liban à la mer, et je les mettrai en radeaux sur la mer †pour les faire passer jusqu’au lieu que tu m’enverras †dire ; et je les ferai délier là, et tu les enlèveras. Et toi, tu accompliras mon désir, en donnant du pain à ma maison.

Et Hiram donna à Salomon des bois de cèdre, et des bois de cyprès, tout ce qu’il désirait ;

et Salomon donna à Hiram 20 000 cors de froment pour nourrir sa maison, et 20 cors d’huile fine. C’est là ce que Salomon donna à Hiram chaque année.

Et l’Éternel donna de la sagesse à Salomon, comme il le lui avait dit. Et il y eut paix entre Hiram et Salomon, et ils firent alliance eux deux.

Et le roi Salomon fit une levée sur tout Israël, et la levée fut de 30 000 hommes.

Et il les envoya au Liban, 10 000 par mois, par relais : ils étaient un mois au Liban, deux mois à la maison ; et Adoniram était †préposé sur la levée.

Et Salomon avait 70 000 †hommes qui portaient des fardeaux, et 80 000 qui taillaient †la pierre sur la montagne,

—

outre les chefs, les intendants de Salomon, qui étaient †préposés sur l’œuvre, 3 300, qui avaient autorité sur le peuple qui travaillait à l’œuvre.

Et le roi commanda, et on transporta de grandes pierres, des pierres de prix, pour faire les fondements de la maison, des pierres de taille.

Et les ouvriers de Salomon et les ouvriers de Hiram, et les Guibliens, taillèrent et préparèrent le bois et les pierres pour bâtir la maison.
