Du weißt ja, daß mein Vater David nicht vermochte, dem Namen Jehovas, seines Gottes, ein Haus zu bauen, wegen der Kriege, mit welchen sie ihn umgaben, bis Jehova sie unter seine Fußsohlen legte.
Tú sabes como mi padre David no pudo edificar casa al nombre de Jehová su Dios, por las guerras que le cercaron, hasta que Jehová puso sus enemigos bajo las plantas de sus pies.
Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

Yo por tanto he determinado ahora edificar casa al nombre de Jehová mi Dios, como Jehová lo habló á David mi padre, diciendo: Tu hijo, que yo pondré en lugar tuyo en tu trono, él edificará casa á mi nombre.

Und nun gebiete, daß man mir Zedern vom Libanon haue; und meine Knechte sollen mit deinen Knechten sein; und den Lohn deiner Knechte will ich dir geben nach allem, was du sagen wirst; denn du weißt ja, daß niemand unter uns ist, der Holz zu hauen versteht wie die Zidonier.
Manda pues ahora que me corten cedros del Líbano; y mis siervos estarán con los tuyos, y yo te daré por tus siervos el salario que tú dijeres: porque tú sabes bien que ninguno hay entre nosotros que sepa labrar la madera como los Sidonios.

Und es geschah, als Hiram die Worte Salomos hörte, da freute er sich sehr; und er sprach: Gepriesen sei heute Jehova, der David einen weisen Sohn gegeben hat über dieses große Volk!
Y como Hiram oyó las palabras de Salomón, holgóse en gran manera, y dijo: Bendito sea hoy Jehová, que dió hijo sabio á David sobre este pueblo tan grande.

Du aber sollst mein Begehr tun, indem du den Speisebedarf meines Hauses gibst.
Mis siervos la llevarán desde el Líbano á la mar; y yo la pondré en balsas por la mar hasta el lugar que tú me señalares, y allí se desatará, y tú la tomarás: y tú harás mi voluntad en dar de comer á mi familia.
