Salomone vi fece scolpire dei cherubini, delle palme e de’ fiori sbocciati e li ricoprì d’oro, che distese esattamente sulle sculture.

Y entalló en ellas querubines y palmas y botones de flores, y cubriólas de oro ajustado á las entalladuras.

And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.
