It happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the ⌞Israelites⌟ went out from the land of Egypt, in the fourth year ⌞of Solomon’s rule⌟ over Israel, the month of Ziv (that is the second month), that he began to build the house for Yahweh.

Y FUÉ en el año cuatrocientos ochenta después que los hijos de Israel salieron de Egipto, en el cuarto año del principio del reino de Salomón sobre Israel, en el mes de Ziph, que es el mes segundo, que él comenzó á edificar la casa de Jehová.

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

Now the house that King Solomon built for Yahweh was sixty cubits in its length and twenty cubits in its width and thirty cubits in its height.

La casa que el rey Salomón edificó á Jehová, tuvo sesenta codos de largo y veinte de ancho, y treinta codos de alto.

And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.

The house which King Solomon built for the LORD had a length of sixty cubits, and its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits.

The vestibule on the face of the main hall of the temple was twenty cubits in its length, and the width of the temple was ten cubits wide on the face of the temple.

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.

The porch in front of the temple of the house had a length of twenty cubits, which was along the width of the house. Ten cubits was its width in front of the house.

And he made for the temple specially designed framed windows,

E hizo á la casa ventanas anchas por de dentro, y estrechas por de fuera.

and he built a structure against the wall of the temple running all along the walls of the house, for the outer sanctuary and for the inner sanctuary, and made side rooms all around.

Edificó también junto al muro de la casa aposentos alrededor, contra las paredes de la casa en derredor del templo y del oráculo: é hizo cámaras alrededor.

And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:

Against the wall of the house, he built floors all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side rooms all around.

The lower structure was five cubits in its width and the middle was six cubits in its width and the third was seven cubits in its width, for he made niches for the temple all around to the outside, so that beams would not attach to the walls of the temple.

The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.

The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.

Now while the temple was being built, it was built with stones finished at the quarry, so that no hammer or stone shaping tool or any instrument of iron was heard in the temple as it was being built.

Y la casa cuando se edificó, fabricáronla de piedras que traían ya acabadas; de tal manera que cuando la edificaban, ni martillos ni hachas se oyeron en la casa, ni ningún otro instrumento de hierro.

And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

The house, when it was under construction, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and no hammer or ax or any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was under construction.

The doorway of the side room in the middle of the side of the temple was on the south; they went up with a stairway to the middle and from the middle to the third floor.

La puerta del aposento de en medio estaba al lado derecho de la casa: y subíase por un caracol al de en medio, y del aposento de en medio al tercero.

The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

The door for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house. They went up by winding stairs into the middle floor, and out of the middle into the third.

So he built the house and finished it. He covered the temple with rafters and wood planks and with the cedars.

“Regarding this temple that you are building: if you walk in my ordinances and if you do my judgments and you keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my promise with you which I made to David your father.

Esta casa que tú edificas, si anduvieres en mis estatutos, é hicieres mis derechos, y guardares todos mis mandamientos andando en ellos, yo tendré firme contigo mi palabra que hablé á David tu padre;

Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:

“Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.

And I will dwell ⌞among⌟ the ⌞Israelites⌟, and I will not forsake my people Israel.”

Y habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel, y no dejaré á mi pueblo Israel.

So Solomon built the temple and finished it.

Y aparejó las paredes de la casa por de dentro con tablas de cedro, vistiéndola de madera por dentro, desde el solado de la casa hasta las paredes de la techumbre: cubrió también el pavimento con madera de haya.

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

Asimismo hizo al cabo de la casa un edificio de veinte codos de tablas de cedro, desde el solado hasta lo más alto; y fabricóse en la casa un oráculo, que es el lugar santísimo.

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.

He built twenty cubits of the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built this within, for an inner sanctuary, even for the most holy place.

The main hall of the temple was forty cubits ⌞in front of the inner sanctuary⌟,

Y la casa, á saber, el templo de dentro, tenía cuarenta codos.

with the cedar within the inner house having carvings of gourds and buds of flowers. It was entirely of cedar; there was not a stone visible.

And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.

There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers. All was cedar. No stone was visible.

Now in the inner sanctuary in the middle of the temple he prepared the inside to place the ark of the covenant of Yahweh there.

Y adornó el oráculo por de dentro en medio de la casa, para poner allí el arca del pacto de Jehová.

And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

In front, the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long and twenty cubits wide and twenty cubits high, and he overlaid it with pure gold and covered the altar with cedar.

Y el oráculo estaba en la parte de adentro, el cual tenía veinte codos de largo, y otros veinte de ancho, y otros veinte de altura; y vistiólo de oro purísimo: asimismo cubrió el altar de cedro.

And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.

Within the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in its height. He overlaid it with pure gold. He covered the altar with cedar.

Solomon overlaid the temple on the inside with pure gold, and he drew across it with golden chains in front of the inner sanctuary, which he overlaid with gold.

De suerte que vistió Salomón de oro puro la casa por de dentro, y cerró la entrada del oráculo con cadenas de oro, y vistiólo de oro.

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.

He made two cherubim of olive wood for the inner sanctuary, ten cubits high.

Hizo también en el oráculo dos querubines de madera de oliva, cada uno de altura de diez codos.

And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.

Five cubits was the first wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub, from the tip of his one wing up to the tip of his other wing.

The second cherub was ten cubits according to ⌞the same⌟ measurement, and there was one shape for the two cherubim.

And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

Y á la entrada del oráculo hizo puertas de madera de oliva; y el umbral y los postes eran de cinco esquinas.

And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.

For the entrance of the inner sanctuary, he made doors of olive wood. The lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.

On the two doors of olive wood he made carvings of cherubim and palm tree images and budding flowers, and he overlaid them with gold ⌞by beating⌟ out the gold on the cherubim and the palm tree images.

Las dos puertas eran de madera de oliva; y entalló en ellas figuras de querubines y de palmas y de botones de flores, y cubriólas de oro: cubrió también de oro los querubines y las palmas.

The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.

Thus he made doorframes of olive wood on four sides for the doorway of the main hall

Igualmente hizo á la puerta del templo postes de madera de oliva cuadrados.

So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.

He also made the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall,

and two doors of cypress wood; one door with two folding panels and the second door with two folding panels.

Then he built the inner courtyard with three rows of dressed stone and a row of cedar beams.

In the eleventh year in the month of Bul, that is, the eighth month, the house was finished according to all his specifications and according to all his plans. He had built it in seven years.

Y en el undécimo año, en el mes de Bul, que es el mes octavo, fué acabada la casa con todas sus pertenencias, y con todo lo necesario. Edificóla pues, en siete años.

And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.
