Foi na primavera do quarto ano do reinado de Salomão que ele começou a construção do templo. Isso ocorreu 480 anos depois que o povo de Israel deixou a escravidão do Egito.

Y FUÉ en el año cuatrocientos ochenta después que los hijos de Israel salieron de Egipto, en el cuarto año del principio del reino de Salomón sobre Israel, en el mes de Ziph, que es el mes segundo, que él comenzó á edificar la casa de Jehová.

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

O templo que o rei Salomão construiu para o Senhor media vinte e sete metros de comprimento, nove metros de largura, e doze metros e meio de altura.

La casa que el rey Salomón edificó á Jehová, tuvo sesenta codos de largo y veinte de ancho, y treinta codos de alto.

And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.

The house which King Solomon built for the LORD had a length of sixty cubits, and its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits.

Na frente do templo havia uma entrada especial do santuário, que media nove metros de largura e avançava quatro metros e meio à frente do templo.

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.

De ponta a ponta havia janelas estreitas.

And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.

Nos dois lados do templo foram construídos quartos que davam de frente para os muros de fora. Cercavam o santuário e o Lugar Santíssimo.

Edificó también junto al muro de la casa aposentos alrededor, contra las paredes de la casa en derredor del templo y del oráculo: é hizo cámaras alrededor.

And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:

Esses quartos eram de três andares; o andar de baixo media dois metros e vinte e cinco centímetros, o segundo andar media dois metros e setenta centímetros e o andar de cima media três metros e quinze centímetros. Os quartos estavam ligados às paredes do templo de modo que não fosse necessário perfurar as paredes com as vigas.

El aposento de abajo era de cinco codos de ancho, y el de en medio de seis codos de ancho, y el tercero de siete codos de ancho: porque por de fuera había hecho disminuciones á la casa en derredor, para no trabar las vigas de las paredes de la casa.

The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.

The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.

As pedras usadas na construção do templo eram preparadas na própria pedreira, de modo que toda a estrutura do templo foi construída sem que se ouvisse o som de martelo, de machado ou de qualquer outra ferramenta no local da construção.

Y la casa cuando se edificó, fabricáronla de piedras que traían ya acabadas; de tal manera que cuando la edificaban, ni martillos ni hachas se oyeron en la casa, ni ningún otro instrumento de hierro.

And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.

A entrada para o andar de baixo desses cômodos laterais ficava pelo lado direito do templo, e havia uma escada que subia para o segundo andar e outra escada que ia do segundo para o terceiro andar.

La puerta del aposento de en medio estaba al lado derecho de la casa: y subíase por un caracol al de en medio, y del aposento de en medio al tercero.

The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.

Depois de acabada a construção do templo, Salomão revestiu tudo com chapas de madeira de cedro, incluindo as vigas e as colunas.

Havia uma construção anexa em cada lado do edifício, ligada às paredes do templo por madeira de cedro. Cada andar dessa construção anexa media dois metros e vinte e cinco centímetros de altura.

And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.

Então o Senhor mandou esta mensagem a Salomão com respeito ao templo que ele estava construindo:

Y fué palabra de Jehová á Salomón, diciendo:

“Quanto a este templo que você está construindo, se você seguir todos os meus mandamentos e as minhas instruções, cumprirei o que disse a seu pai Davi:

Esta casa que tú edificas, si anduvieres en mis estatutos, é hicieres mis derechos, y guardares todos mis mandamientos andando en ellos, yo tendré firme contigo mi palabra que hablé á David tu padre;

Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:

“Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father.

Morarei no meio dos israelitas, e nunca abandonarei Israel, o meu povo”.

Y habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel, y no dejaré á mi pueblo Israel.

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

E assim Salomão terminou a construção do templo.

Todo o interior, desde o chão até o teto, foi forrado com tábuas de madeira de cedro, e o soalho do templo foi feito com tábuas de pinho.

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

A sala interior, situada na parte de trás do templo, media nove metros; Salomão fez uma divisão com tábuas de cedro, desde o soalho até o teto. Esse era o santuário interno, ou seja, o Lugar Santíssimo.

Asimismo hizo al cabo de la casa un edificio de veinte codos de tablas de cedro, desde el solado hasta lo más alto; y fabricóse en la casa un oráculo, que es el lugar santísimo.

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.

He built twenty cubits of the back part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built this within, for an inner sanctuary, even for the most holy place.

O restante do templo, o Lugar Santo, media dezoito metros e trinta centímetros de comprimento.

And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.

And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.

Ele preparou o santuário interno onde foi colocada a arca da aliança do Senhor.

Y adornó el oráculo por de dentro en medio de la casa, para poner allí el arca del pacto de Jehová.

And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

Esse santuário interno media nove metros de comprimento, nove metros de largura e nove metros de altura. As paredes e o teto desse Lugar Santo estavam cobertos de ouro puro, e Salomão fez um altar revestido com tábuas de cedro.

Y el oráculo estaba en la parte de adentro, el cual tenía veinte codos de largo, y otros veinte de ancho, y otros veinte de altura; y vistiólo de oro purísimo: asimismo cubrió el altar de cedro.

And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.

De suerte que vistió Salomón de oro puro la casa por de dentro, y cerró la entrada del oráculo con cadenas de oro, y vistiólo de oro.

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.

Também revestiu de ouro todo o interior do templo e também o altar que pertencia ao santuário interno.

And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.

No santuário interno, o Lugar Santíssimo, Salomão esculpiu dois querubins, feitos de madeira de oliveira, cada um medindo quatro metros e meio de altura.

And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.

Cada querubim tinha duas asas, e cada asa media dois metros e vinte e cinco centímetros de comprimento: quatro metros e meio da ponta de uma asa à ponta da outra.

La una ala del querubín tenía cinco codos, y la otra ala del querubín otros cinco codos: así que había diez codos desde la punta de la una ala hasta la punta de la otra.

And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.

Five cubits was the length of one wing of the cherub, and five cubits was the length of the other wing of the cherub. From the tip of one wing to the tip of the other was ten cubits.

Os dois querubins tinham a mesma medida e a mesma forma.

Asimismo el otro querubín tenía diez codos; porque ambos querubines eran de un tamaño y de una hechura.

And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.

And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

E nas duas portas de madeira de oliveira estavam esculpidos querubins, palmeiras e flores abertas, tudo coberto com ouro.

Las dos puertas eran de madera de oliva; y entalló en ellas figuras de querubines y de palmas y de botones de flores, y cubriólas de oro: cubrió también de oro los querubines y las palmas.

The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.

A construção toda foi completada em cada detalhe, de acordo com as suas especificações, no mês de novembro do décimo primeiro ano do seu reinado. Salomão levou sete anos para construir o templo.

And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.
