1Poi Salomone costruì la sua propria casa, e la compì interamente in tredici anni.
2Fabbricò prima di tutto la casa della “Foresta del Libano”, di cento cubiti di lunghezza, di cinquanta di larghezza e di trenta d’altezza. Era basata su quattro ordini di colonne di cedro, sulle quali poggiava una travatura di cedro.
3Un soffitto di cedro copriva le camere che poggiavano sulle colonne, e che erano in numero di quarantacinque, quindici per fila.
4E v’erano tre ordini di camere, le cui finestre si trovavano le une dirimpetto alle altre lungo tutti e tre gli ordini.
5E tutte le porte coi loro stipiti ed architravi erano quadrangolari, e le finestre dei tre ordini di camere si trovavano le une dirimpetto alle altre, in tutti e tre gli ordini.
6Fece pure il portico di colonne, avente cinquanta cubiti di lunghezza e trenta di larghezza, con un vestibolo davanti, delle colonne, e una scalinata in fronte.
7Poi fece il portico del trono dove amministrava la giustizia e che si chiamò il “Portico del giudizio”; e lo ricoprì di legno di cedro dal pavimento al soffitto.
8E la casa sua, dov’egli dimorava, fu costruita nello stesso modo, in un altro cortile, dietro il portico. E fece una casa dello stesso stile di questo portico per la figliuola di Faraone, ch’egli avea sposata.
9Tutte queste costruzioni erano di pietre scelte, tagliate a misura, segate con la sega, internamente ed esternamente, dai fondamenti ai cornicioni, e al di fuori fino al cortile maggiore.
10Anche i fondamenti erano di pietre scelte, grandi, di pietre di dieci cubiti, e di pietre di otto cubiti.
11E al di sopra c’erano delle pietre scelte, tagliate a misura, e del legname di cedro.
12Il gran cortile avea tutto all’intorno tre ordini di pietre lavorate e un ordine di travi di cedro, come il cortile interiore della casa dell’Eterno e come il portico della casa.
13Il re Salomone fece venire da Tiro Hiram,
14figliuolo d’una vedova della tribù di Neftali; suo padre era di Tiro. Egli lavorava in rame; era pieno di sapienza, d’intelletto e d’industria per eseguire qualunque lavoro in rame. Egli si recò dal re Salomone ed eseguì tutti i lavori da lui ordinati.
15Fece le due colonne di rame. La prima avea diciotto cubiti d’altezza, e una corda di dodici cubiti misurava la circonferenza della seconda.
16E fuse due capitelli di rame, per metterli in cima alle colonne; l’uno avea cinque cubiti d’altezza, e l’altro cinque cubiti d’altezza.
17Fece un graticolato, un lavoro d’intreccio, dei festoni a guisa di catenelle, per i capitelli ch’erano in cima alle colonne: sette per il primo capitello, e sette per il secondo.
18E fece due ordini di melagrane attorno all’uno di que’ graticolati, per coprire il capitello ch’era in cima all’una delle colonne; e lo stesso fece per l’altro capitello.
19I capitelli che erano in cima alle colonne nel portico eran fatti a forma di giglio, ed erano di quattro cubiti.
20I capitelli posti sulle due colonne erano circondati da duecento melagrane, in alto, vicino alla convessità ch’era al di là del graticolato; c’eran duecento melagrane disposte attorno al primo, e duecento intorno al secondo capitello.
21Egli rizzò le colonne nel portico del tempio; rizzò la colonna a man destra, e la chiamò Jakin; poi rizzò la colonna a man sinistra, e la chiamò Boaz.
22In cima alle colonne c’era un lavoro fatto a forma di giglio. Così fu compiuto il lavoro delle colonne.
23Poi fece il mare di getto, che avea dieci cubiti da un orlo all’altro; era di forma perfettamente rotonda, avea cinque cubiti d’altezza, e una corda di trenta cubiti ne misurava la circonferenza.
24Sotto all’orlo lo circondavano delle colloquintide, dieci per cubito, facendo tutto il giro del mare; le colloquintide, disposte in due ordini, erano state fuse insieme col mare.
25Questo posava su dodici buoi, dei quali tre guardavano a settentrione, tre a occidente, tre a mezzogiorno, e tre ad oriente; il mare stava su di essi, e le parti posteriori de’ buoi erano vòlte verso il di dentro.
26Esso avea lo spessore d’un palmo; il suo orlo, fatto come l’orlo d’una coppa, avea la forma d’un fior di giglio; il mare conteneva duemila bati.
27Fece pure le dieci basi di rame; ciascuna avea quattro cubiti di lunghezza, quattro cubiti di larghezza e tre cubiti d’altezza.
28E il lavoro delle basi consisteva in questo. Eran formate di riquadri, tenuti assieme per mezzo di sostegni.
29Sopra i riquadri, fra i sostegni, c’erano de’ leoni, de’ buoi e dei cherubini; lo stesso, sui sostegni superiori; ma sui sostegni inferiori, sotto i leoni ed i buoi, c’erano delle ghirlande a festoni.
30Ogni base avea quattro ruote di rame con le sale di rame; e ai quattro angoli c’erano delle mensole, sotto il bacino; queste mensole erano di getto; di faccia a ciascuna stavan delle ghirlande.
31Al coronamento della base, nell’interno, c’era un’apertura in cui s’adattava il bacino; essa avea un cubito d’altezza, era rotonda, della forma d’una base di colonna, e aveva un cubito e mezzo di diametro; anche lì v’erano delle sculture; i riquadri erano quadrati e non circolari.
32Le quattro ruote eran sotto i riquadri, le sale delle ruote eran fissate alla base, e l’altezza d’ogni ruota era di un cubito e mezzo.
33Le ruote eran fatte come quelle d’un carro. Le loro sale, i loro quarti, i loro razzi, i loro mozzi eran di getto.
34Ai quattro angoli d’ogni base, c’eran quattro mensole d’un medesimo pezzo con la base.
35La parte superiore della base terminava con un cerchio di mezzo cubito d’altezza, ed aveva i suoi sostegni e i suoi riquadri tutti d’un pezzo con la base.
36Sulla parte liscia de’ sostegni e sui riquadri, Hiram scolpì dei cherubini, de’ leoni e delle palme, secondo gli spazi liberi, e delle ghirlande tutt’intorno.
37Così fece le dieci basi; la fusione, la misura e la forma eran le stesse per tutte.
38Poi fece le dieci conche di rame, ciascuna delle quali conteneva quaranta bati, ed era di quattro cubiti; e ogni conca posava sopra una delle dieci basi.
39Egli collocò le basi così: cinque al lato destro della casa, e cinque al lato sinistro; e pose il mare al lato destro della casa, verso sud-est.
40Hiram fece pure i vasi per le ceneri, le palette ed i bacini.
41Così Hiram compì tutta l’opera che il re Salomone gli fece fare per la casa dell’Eterno: le due colonne, le due palle dei capitelli in cima alle colonne, i due reticolati per coprire le due palle dei capitelli in cima alle colonne,
42le quattrocento melagrane per i due reticolati, a due ordini di melagrane per ogni reticolato che coprivano le due palle dei capitelli in cima alle colonne,
43le dieci basi, le dieci conche sulle basi,
44il mare, ch’era unico, e i dodici buoi sotto il mare;
45i vasi per le ceneri, le palette e i bacini. Tutti questi utensili che Salomone fece fare a Hiram per la casa dell’Eterno, erano di rame tirato a pulimento.
46Il re li fece fondere nella pianura del Giordano, in un suolo argilloso, fra Succoth e Tsarthan.
47Salomone lasciò tutti questi utensili senza riscontrare il peso del rame, perché erano in grandissima quantità.
48Salomone fece fabbricare tutti gli arredi della casa dell’Eterno: l’altare d’oro, la tavola d’oro sulla quale si mettevano i pani della presentazione;
49i candelabri d’oro puro, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra, davanti al santuario, con i fiori, le lampade e gli smoccolatoi, d’oro;
50le coppe, i coltelli, i bacini, i cucchiai e i bracieri, d’oro fino; e i cardini d’oro per la porta interna della casa all’ingresso del luogo santissimo, e per la porta della casa all’ingresso del tempio.
51Così fu compiuta tutta l’opera che il re Salomone fece eseguire per la casa dell’Eterno. Poi Salomone fece portare l’argento, l’oro e gli utensili che Davide suo padre avea consacrati, e li mise nei tesori della casa dell’Eterno.

1DESPUÉS edificó Salomón su propia casa en trece años, y acabóla toda.
2Asimismo edificó la casa del bosque del Líbano, la cual tenía cien codos de longitud, y cincuenta codos de anchura, y treinta codos de altura, sobre cuatro órdenes de columnas de cedro, con vigas de cedro sobre las columnas.
3Y estaba cubierta de tablas de cedro arriba sobre las vigas, que se apoyaban en cuarenta y cinco columnas: cada hilera tenía quince columnas.
4Y había tres órdenes de ventanas, una ventana contra la otra en tres órdenes.
5Y todas las puertas y postes eran cuadrados: y las unas ventanas estaban frente á las otras en tres órdenes.
6También hizo un pórtico de columnas, que tenía de largo cincuenta codos, y treinta codos de ancho; y aqueste pórtico estaba delante de aquellas otras, con sus columnas y maderos correspondientes.
7Hizo asimismo el pórtico del trono en que había de juzgar, el pórtico del juicio, y vistiólo de cedro de suelo á suelo.
8Y en la casa en que él moraba, había otro atrio dentro del pórtico, de obra semejante á esta. Edificó también Salomón una casa para la hija de Faraón, que había tomado por mujer, de la misma obra de aquel pórtico.
9Todas aquellas obras fueron de piedras de precio, cortadas y aserradas con sierras según las medidas, así por de dentro como por de fuera, desde el cimiento hasta los remates, y asimismo por de fuera hasta el gran atrio.
10El cimiento era de piedras de precio, de piedras grandes, de piedras de diez codos, y de piedras de ocho codos.
11De allí arriba eran también piedras de precio, labradas conforme á sus medidas, y obra de cedro.
12Y en el gran atrio alrededor había tres órdenes de piedras labradas, y un orden de vigas de cedro: y así el atrio interior de la casa de Jehová, y el atrio de la casa.
13Y envió el rey Salomón, é hizo venir de Tiro á Hiram,
14Hijo de una viuda de la tribu de Nephtalí, y su padre había sido de Tiro: trabajaba él en bronce, lleno de sabiduría y de inteligencia y saber en toda obra de metal. Este pues vino al rey Salomón, é hizo toda su obra.
15Y vació dos columnas de bronce, la altura de cada cual era de diez y ocho codos: y rodeaba á una y á otra columna un hilo de doce codos.
16Hizo también dos capiteles de fundición de bronce, para que fuesen puestos sobre las cabezas de las columnas: la altura de un capitel era de cinco codos, y la del otro capitel de cinco codos.
17Había trenzas á manera de red, y unas cintas á manera de cadenas, para los capiteles que se habían de poner sobre las cabezas de las columnas: siete para cada capitel.
18Y cuando hubo hecho las columnas, hizo también dos órdenes de granadas alrededor en el un enredado, para cubrir los capiteles que estaban en las cabezas de las columnas con las granadas: y de la misma forma hizo en el otro capitel.
19Los capiteles que estaban sobre las columnas en el pórtico, tenían labor de flores por cuatro codos.
20Tenían también los capiteles de sobre las dos columnas, doscientas granadas en dos órdenes alrededor en cada capitel, encima del vientre del capitel, el cual vientre estaba delante del enredado.
21Estas columnas erigió en el pórtico del templo: y cuando hubo alzado la columna de la mano derecha, púsole por nombre Jachîn: y alzando la columna de la mano izquierda, llamó su nombre Boaz.
22Y puso en las cabezas de las columnas labor en forma de azucenas; y así se acabó la obra de las columnas.
23Hizo asimismo un mar de fundición, de diez codos del un lado al otro, perfectamente redondo: su altura era de cinco codos, y ceñíalo alrededor un cordón de treinta codos.
24Y cercaban aquel mar por debajo de su labio en derredor unas bolas como calabazas, diez en cada codo, que ceñían el mar alrededor en dos órdenes, las cuales habían sido fundidas cuando él fué fundido.
25Y estaba asentado sobre doce bueyes: tres miraban al norte, y tres miraban al poniente, y tres miraban al mediodía, y tres miraban al oriente; sobre éstos se apoyaba el mar, y las traseras de ellos estaban hacia la parte de adentro.
26El grueso del mar era de un palmo, y su labio era labrado como el labio de un cáliz, ó de flor de lis: y cabían en él dos mil batos.
27Hizo también diez basas de bronce, siendo la longitud de cada basa de cuatro codos, y la anchura de cuatro codos, y de tres codos la altura.
28La obra de las basas era esta: tenían unas cintas, las cuales estaban entre molduras:
29Y sobre aquellas cintas que estaban entre las molduras, figuras de leones, y de bueyes, y de querubines; y sobre las molduras de la basa, así encima como debajo de los leones y de los bueyes, había unas añadiduras de bajo relieve.
30Cada basa tenía cuatro ruedas de bronce con mesas de bronce; y en sus cuatro esquinas había unos hombrillos, los cuales nacían de fundición á cada un lado de aquellas añadiduras, para estar debajo de la fuente.
31Y la boca del pie de la fuente entraba un codo en el remate que salía para arriba de la basa; y era su boca redonda, de la hechura del mismo remate, y éste de codo y medio. Había también sobre la boca entalladuras con sus cintas, las cuales eran cuadradas, no redondas.
32Las cuatro ruedas estaban debajo de las cintas, y los ejes de las ruedas nacían en la misma basa. La altura de cada rueda era de un codo y medio.
33Y la hechura de las ruedas era como la hechura de las ruedas de un carro: sus ejes, sus rayos, y sus cubos, y sus cinchos, todo era de fundición.
34Asimismo los cuatro hombrillos á las cuatro esquinas de cada basa: y los hombrillos eran de la misma basa.
35Y en lo alto de la basa había medio codo de altura redondo por todas partes: y encima de la basa sus molduras y cintas, las cuales eran de ella misma.
36E hizo en las tablas de las molduras, y en las cintas, entalladuras de querubines, y de leones, y de palmas, con proporción en el espacio de cada una, y alrededor otros adornos.
37De esta forma hizo diez basas fundidas de una misma manera, de una misma medida, y de una misma entalladura.
38Hizo también diez fuentes de bronce: cada fuente contenía cuarenta batos, y cada una era de cuatro codos; y asentó una fuente sobre cada una de las diez basas.
39Y puso las cinco basas á la mano derecha de la casa, y las otras cinco á la mano izquierda: y asentó el mar al lado derecho de la casa, al oriente, hacia el mediodía.
40Asimismo hizo Hiram fuentes, y tenazas, y cuencos. Así acabó toda la obra que hizo á Salomón para la casa de Jehová:
41Es á saber, dos columnas, y los vasos redondos de los capiteles que estaban en lo alto de las dos columnas; y dos redes que cubrían los dos vasos redondos de los capiteles que estaban sobre la cabeza de las columnas;
42Y cuatrocientas granadas para las dos redes, dos órdenes de granadas en cada red, para cubrir los dos vasos redondos que estaban sobre las cabezas de las columnas;
43Y las diez basas, y las diez fuentes sobre las basas;
44Y un mar, y doce bueyes debajo del mar;
45Y calderos, y paletas, y cuencos; y todos los vasos que Hiram hizo al rey Salomón, para la casa de Jehová, de metal acicalado.
46Todo lo hizo fundir el rey en la llanura del Jordán, en tierra arcillosa, entre Succoth y Sarthán.
47Y dejó Salomón sin inquirir el peso del metal de todos los vasos, por la grande multitud de ellos.
48Entonces hizo Salomón todos los vasos que pertenecían á la casa de Jehová: un altar de oro, y una mesa sobre la cual estaban los panes de la proposición, también de oro;
49Y cinco candeleros de oro purísimo á la mano derecha, y otros cinco á la izquierda, delante del oráculo; con las flores, y las lámparas, y despabiladeras de oro;
50Asimismo los cántaros, vasos, tazas, cucharillas, é incensarios, de oro purísimo; también de oro los quiciales de las puertas de la casa de adentro, del lugar santísimo, y los de las puertas del templo.
51Así se acabó toda la obra que dispuso hacer el rey Salomón para la casa de Jehová. Y metió Salomón lo que David su padre había dedicado, es á saber, plata, y oro, y vasos, y púsolo todo en guarda en las tesorerías de la casa de Jehová.

1But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
2He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.
3And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty five pillars, fifteen in a row.
4And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks.
5And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks.
6And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them.
7Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.
8And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch.
9All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court.
10And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
11And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars.
12And the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.
13And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.
14He was a widow’s son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.
15For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.
16And he made two chapiters of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:
17And nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the other chapiter.
18And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the chapiters that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other chapiter.
19And the chapiters that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, four cubits.
20And the chapiters upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon the other chapiter.
21And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.
22And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.
23And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.
24And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows, when it was cast.
25It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.
26And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.
27And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.
28And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders, and the borders were between the ledges:
29And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubims: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.
30And every base had four brasen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners thereof had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition.
31And the mouth of it within the chapiter and above was a cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.
32And under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
33And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their felloes, and their spokes, were all molten.
34And there were four undersetters to the four corners of one base: and the undersetters were of the very base itself.
35And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base the ledges thereof and the borders thereof were of the same.
36For on the plates of the ledges thereof, and on the borders thereof, he graved cherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions round about.
37After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size.
38Then made he ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: and every laver was four cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one laver.
39And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.
40And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the LORD:
41The two pillars, and the two bowls of the chapiters that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two networks, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars;
42And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars;
43And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;
44And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;
45And the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: and all these vessels, which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright brass.
46In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.
47And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many: neither was the weight of the brass found out.
48And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the shewbread was,
49And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,
50And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple.
51So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD.

12The great court around had three courses of cut stone with a course of cedar beams, like the inner court of the LORD’s house and the porch of the house.
13King Solomon sent and brought Hiram out of Tyre.

18So he made the pillars; and there were two rows of pomegranates around the one network, to cover the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and he did so for the other capital.
19The capitals that were on the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily work, four cubits.
20There were capitals above also on the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network. There were two hundred pomegranates in rows around the other capital.
21He set up the pillars at the porch of the temple. He set up the right pillar and called its name Jachin; and he set up the left pillar and called its name Boaz.
22On the tops of the pillars was lily work. So the work of the pillars was finished.
23He made the molten sea ten cubits from brim to brim, round in shape. Its height was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits encircled it.
24Under its brim around there were buds which encircled it for ten cubits, encircling the sea. The buds were in two rows, cast when it was cast.
25It stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set on them above, and all their hindquarters were inward.
26It was a hand width thick. Its brim was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily. It held two thousand baths.
27He made the ten bases of bronze. The length of one base was four cubits, four cubits its width, and three cubits its height.
28The work of the bases was like this: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges;
29and on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and on the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.
30Every base had four bronze wheels and axles of bronze; and its four feet had supports. The supports were cast beneath the basin, with wreaths at the side of each.
31Its opening within the capital and above was a cubit. Its opening was round like the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also on its opening were engravings, and their panels were square, not round.
32The four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axles of the wheels were in the base. The height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
33The work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel. Their axles, their rims, their spokes, and their hubs were all of cast metal.
34There were four supports at the four corners of each base. Its supports were of the base itself.
35In the top of the base there was a round band half a cubit high; and on the top of the base its supports and its panels were the same.
36On the plates of its supports and on its panels, he engraved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, each in its space, with wreaths all around.
37He made the ten bases in this way: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.
38He made ten basins of bronze. One basin contained forty baths. Every basin measured four cubits. One basin was on every one of the ten bases.
39He set the bases, five on the right side of the house and five on the left side of the house. He set the sea on the right side of the house eastward and toward the south.
40Hiram made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished doing all the work that he worked for King Solomon in the LORD’s house:
41the two pillars; the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;
42the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars;
43the ten bases; the ten basins on the bases;
44the one sea; the twelve oxen under the sea;
45the pots; the shovels; and the basins. All of these vessels, which Hiram made for King Solomon for the LORD’s house, were of burnished bronze.
46The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.
47Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because there were so many of them. The weight of the bronze could not be determined.
48Solomon made all the vessels that were in the LORD’s house: the golden altar and the table that the show bread was on, of gold;
49and the lamp stands, five on the right side and five on the left, in front of the inner sanctuary, of pure gold; and the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;
50the cups, the snuffers, the basins, the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.
51Thus all the work that King Solomon did in the LORD’s house was finished. Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and the vessels—and put them in the treasuries of the LORD’s house.
