Lorsqu'au bout de vingt ans, Salomon eut achevé de bâtir le temple du Seigneur et son palais, il rassembla dans Sion tous les anciens d'Israël pour enlever de la ville de David (la même que Sion) l'arche de l'alliance du Seigneur,

ENTONCES juntó Salomón los ancianos de Israel, y á todas las cabezas de las tribus, y á los príncipes de las familias de los hijos de Israel, al rey Salomón en Jerusalem para traer el arca del pacto de Jehová de la ciudad de David, que es Sión.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Au mois d'Athanin ;

Y se juntaron al rey Salomón todos los varones de Israel en el mes de Ethanim, que es el mes séptimo, en el día solemne.

Ainsi que le tabernacle du témoignage, et les objets consacrés dans le tabernacle du témoignage.

Y llevaron el arca de Jehová, y el tabernáculo del testimonio, y todos los vasos sagrados que estaban en el tabernáculo; los cuales llevaban los sacerdotes y Levitas.

And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.

They brought up the LORD’s ark, the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent. The priests and the Levites brought these up.

Et le roi et tout Israël, devant l'arche, sacrifiaient des brebis et des bœufs en quantité innombrable.

Y el rey Salomón, y toda la congregación de Israel que á él se había juntado, estaban con él delante del arca, sacrificando ovejas y bueyes, que por la multitud no se podían contar ni numerar.

And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

Les prêtres introduisirent l'arche à sa place, dans l'oracle du temple, dans le Saint des saints, sous les ailes des chérubins.

Y los sacerdotes metieron el arca del pacto de Jehová en su lugar, en el oráculo de la casa, en el lugar santísimo, debajo de las alas de los querubines.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.

Car les chérubins déployaient leurs ailes au-dessus de l'emplacement de l'arche, et ils en couvraient l'arche et ses leviers.

Porque los querubines tenían extendidas las alas sobre el lugar del arca, y así cubrían los querubines el arca y sus varas por encima.

For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

Ces leviers étaient dressés, et leurs extrémités se voyaient dès l'entrée du Saint des saints devant l'oracle, mais on ne pouvait les voir du dehors.

E hicieron salir las varas; que las cabezas de las varas se dejaban ver desde el santuario delante del oráculo, mas no se veían desde afuera: y así se quedaron hasta hoy.

And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.

The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the holy place before the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen outside. They are there to this day.

Il n'y avait rien dans l'arche sinon les deux tables de pierre, les tables de l'alliance que Moïse y avait déposées sur le mont Horeb, et sur lesquelles le Seigneur avait écrit son alliance avec les fils d'Israël lorsqu'ils revenaient de la terre d'Égypte.

En el arca ninguna cosa había más de las dos tablas de piedra que había allí puesto Moisés en Horeb, donde Jehová hizo la alianza con los hijos de Israel, cuando salieron de la tierra de Egipto.

There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

Or, quand les prêtres sortirent du Saint des saints il advint qu'une nuée remplit le temple.

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,

Et les prêtres ne purent y demeurer, ni faire le service divin, à cause de la nuée ; car la gloire du Seigneur avait rempli le temple.

Y los sacerdotes no pudieron estar para ministrar por causa de la nube; porque la gloria de Jehová había henchido la casa de Jehová.

So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

Entonces dijo Salomón: Jehová ha dicho que él habitaría en la oscuridad.

Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

Then Solomon said, “The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

Et les prêtres ne purent y demeurer, ni faire le service divin, à cause de la nuée ; car la gloire du Seigneur avait rempli le temple.

Yo he edificado casa por morada para ti, asiento en que tú habites para siempre.

I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.

I have surely built you a house of habitation, a place for you to dwell in forever.”

Alors, le roi se retourna vers le peuple, et il bénit tout Israël, et toute l'Église d'Israël était restée debout.

Y volviendo el rey su rostro, bendijo á toda la congregación de Israel; y toda la congregación de Israel estaba en pie.

And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)

The king turned his face around and blessed all the assembly of Israel; and all the assembly of Israel stood.

Et il dit : Béni soit aujourd'hui le Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, qui, de sa bouche, a parlé concernant David mon père, et qui de ses mains a rempli ses promesses, disant :

Y dijo: Bendito sea Jehová Dios de Israel, que habló de su boca á David mi padre, y con su mano lo ha cumplido, diciendo:

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

He said, “Blessed is the LORD, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David your father, and has with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

Depuis le jour où j'ai tiré de l'Égypte mon peuple Israël, je n'ai choisi en Israël ni ville, ni tribu, pour qu'on bâtit un temple où résidât mon Nom ; puis, j'ai choisi Jérusalem pour que mon nom y réside, et j'ai choisi David pour qu'il soit sur mon peuple Israël.

Desde el día que saqué mi pueblo Israel de Egipto, no he escogido ciudad de todas las tribus de Israel para edificar casa en la cual estuviese mi nombre, aunque escogí á David para que presidiese en mi pueblo Israel.

Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

‘Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.’

Or, mon père avait en son cœur la pensée de bâtir un temple au nom du Seigneur Dieu d'Israël.

Y David mi padre tuvo en el corazón edificar casa al nombre de Jehová Dios de Israel.

And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

“Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

Et le Seigneur dit à David, mon père : En récompense de ce que la pensée t'est venue au cœur de bâtir un temple à mon nom, tu as fait de belles actions, parce que cette pensée était en ton cœur.

Mas Jehová dijo á David mi padre: Cuanto á haber tú tenido en el corazón edificar casa á mi nombre, bien has hecho en tener tal voluntad;

And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.

But the LORD said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

Néanmoins, tu ne bâtiras point ce temple, mais ton fils, qui sortira de toi, le bâtira à mon nom.

Empero tú no edificarás la casa, sino tu hijo que saldrá de tus lomos, él edificará casa á mi nombre.

Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.

Nevertheless, you shall not build the house; but your son who shall come out of your body, he shall build the house for my name.’

Le Seigneur a relevé la parole qu'il avait dite, j'ai été suscité à la place de David mon père ; et je me suis assis sur le trône d'Israël, comme l'avait dit le Seigneur ; et j'ai bâti un temple au nom du Seigneur Dieu d'Israël.

Y Jehová ha verificado su palabra que había dicho; que me he levantado yo en lugar de David mi padre, y heme sentado en el trono de Israel, como Jehová había dicho, y he edificado la casa al nombre de Jehová Dios de Israel.

And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

The LORD has established his word that he spoke; for I have risen up in the place of David my father, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

J'y ai préparé un emplacement pour l'arche qui renferme l'alliance du Seigneur avec nos pères, tandis qu'il les ramenait de la terre d'Égypte.

Y he puesto en ella lugar para el arca, en la cual está el pacto de Jehová, que él hizo con nuestros padres cuando los sacó de la tierra de Egipto.

And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

There I have set a place for the ark, in which is the LORD’s covenant, which he made with our fathers when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.”

Ensuite, Salomon se tint devant l'autel du Seigneur et devant toute l'Église d'Israël ; il étendit les deux mains vers le ciel,

Púsose luego Salomón delante del altar de Jehová, en presencia de toda la congregación de Israel, y extendiendo sus manos al cielo,

And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:

Solomon stood before the LORD’s altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;

Et il dit : Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, il n'est point au ciel ni sur la terre de Dieu tel que vous, gardant alliance et miséricorde pour le serviteur qui marche de tout son cœur devant vous.

Dijo: Jehová Dios de Israel, no hay Dios como tú, ni arriba en los cielos ni abajo en la tierra, que guardas el pacto y la misericordia á tus siervos, los que andan delante de ti de todo su corazón;

And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

and he said, “LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath; who keeps covenant and loving kindness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;

Vous avez gardé cette alliance et cette miséricorde, pour votre serviteur David ; car vous avez parlé de votre bouche, et de vos mains vous avez rempli vos promesses ; comme il se voit aujourd'hui.

Que has guardado á tu siervo David mi padre lo que le dijiste: dijístelo con tu boca, y con tu mano lo has cumplido, como aparece este día.

Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

who has kept with your servant David my father that which you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.

Maintenant, Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, gardez pour votre serviteur David, mon père, cette parole que vous lui avez dite : Il ne manquera jamais d'hommes de ton sang pour être assis sur le trône d'Israël devant ma face, pourvu que les enfants observent leurs voies, et qu'ils marchent à mes yeux comme toi-même as marché.

Ahora pues, Jehová Dios de Israel, cumple á tu siervo David mi padre lo que le prometiste, diciendo: No faltará varón de ti delante de mí, que se siente en el trono de Israel, con tal que tus hijos guarden su camino, que anden delante de mí como tú has delante de mí andado.

Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

Now therefore, may LORD, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’

Maintenant, Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, que votre promesse à David mon père, votre serviteur, soit confirmée.

Ahora pues, oh Dios de Israel, verifíquese tu palabra que dijiste á tu siervo David mi padre.

And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.

“Now therefore, God of Israel, please let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David my father.

Est-il donc croyable que Dieu réside sur la terre parmi les hommes ? Si le ciel et le ciel des cieux ne peuvent vous contenir, combien moins encore ce temple que j'ai bâti à votre nom ?

Empero ¿es verdad que Dios haya de morar sobre la tierra? He aquí que los cielos, los cielos de los cielos, no te pueden contener: ¿cuánto menos esta casa que yo he edificado?

But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house that I have built!

O Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, ayez égard à ma demande ; écoutez aujourd'hui la prière que vous fait votre serviteur.

Con todo, tú atenderás á la oración de tu siervo, y á su plegaria, oh Jehová Dios mío, oyendo propicio el clamor y oración que tu siervo hace hoy delante de ti:

Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:

Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant and for his supplication, LORD my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you today;

Que vos yeux soient ouverts nuit et jour sur ce temple, sur ce lieu dont vous avez dit : C'est là que sera mon nom ; et écoutez-y la prière que vous y fait nuit et jour votre serviteur.

Que estén tus ojos abiertos de noche y de día sobre esta casa, sobre este lugar del cual has dicho: Mi nombre estará allí; y que oigas la oración que tu siervo hará en este lugar.

That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

that your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, ‘My name shall be there;’ to listen to the prayer which your servant prays toward this place.

Oui, vous écouterez la prière de votre serviteur et de votre peuple Israël, toutes les fois qu'ils prieront en ce lieu ; vous les entendrez du lieu que vous habitez au ciel ; et vous agirez, et vous serez indulgent.

Oye pues la oración de tu siervo, y de tu pueblo Israel; cuando oraren en este lugar, también tú lo oirás en el lugar de tu habitación, desde los cielos: que oigas y perdones.

And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.

Listen to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear in heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive.

Quelque péché qu'un homme ait commis contre son prochain, même quand il aura songé à le maudire, s'il vient, s'il se confesse, dans le temple devant votre autel,

Cuando alguno hubiere pecado contra su prójimo, y le tomaren juramento haciéndole jurar, y viniere el juramento delante de tu altar en esta casa;

If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:

“If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house,

Du haut du ciel vous l'entendrez et vous agirez, et vous jugerez le peuple d'Israël, de telle sorte que l'inique sera considéré comme inique ; que vous ferez retomber sur sa tête son égarement dans ses voies, que le juste sera justifié, et que vous le rétribuerez selon son équité.

Tú oirás desde el cielo, y obrarás, y juzgarás á tus siervos, condenando al impío, tornando su proceder sobre su cabeza, y justificando al justo para darle conforme á su justicia.

Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

then hear in heaven, and act, and judge your servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

Lorsque votre peuple Israël tombera devant ses ennemis parce qu'il aura péché contre vous, ils se convertiront, ils rendront gloire au nom du Seigneur ; ils prieront, et ils supplieront en votre temple :

Cuando tu pueblo Israel hubiere caído delante de sus enemigos, por haber pecado contra ti, y á ti se volvieren, y confesaren tu nombre, y oraren, y te rogaren y suplicaren en esta casa;

When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:

“When your people Israel are struck down before the enemy because they have sinned against you, if they turn again to you and confess your name, and pray and make supplication to you in this house,

Alors, du haut du ciel vous les écouterez, vous leur remettrez leurs péchés, et vous les ramènerez dans la terre que vous avez donnée à leurs pères.

Oyelos tú en los cielos, y perdona el pecado de tu pueblo Israel, y vuélvelos á la tierra que diste á sus padres.

Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.

then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again to the land which you gave to their fathers.

Lorsque vous aurez fermé le ciel, et qu'il n'y aura plus de pluie parce que les fils d'Israël auront péché contre vous, ils prieront en ce lieu ; ils rendront gloire au nom du Seigneur, et ils détesteront leurs péchés, après que vous les aurez humiliés,

Cuando el cielo se cerrare, y no lloviere, por haber ellos pecado contra ti, y te rogaren en este lugar, y confesaren tu nombre, y se volvieren del pecado, cuando los hubieres afligido;

When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:

“When the sky is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray toward this place and confess your name, and turn from their sin when you afflict them,

Et du haut du ciel vous les écouterez, et vous remettrez les péchés de vos serviteurs, de votre peuple ; vous leur montrerez la bonne voie qu'ils doivent suivre, et vous accorderez de la pluie à la terre que vous avez donnée pour héritage à votre peuple.

Tú oirás en los cielos, y perdonarás el pecado de tus siervos y de tu pueblo Israel, enseñándoles el buen camino en que anden; y darás lluvias sobre tu tierra, la cual diste á tu pueblo por heredad.

Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.

then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on your land which you have given to your people for an inheritance.

Lorsqu'il y aura famine, lorsqu'il y aura mortalité par suite de la chaleur brûlante ou du ravage des sauterelles, lorsqu'il y aura rouille des blés, lorsqu'un ennemi opprimera le peuple en l'une de ses villes, lorsqu'il y aura partout accident et peine,

Cuando en la tierra hubiere hambre, ó pestilencia, ó tizoncillo, ó niebla, ó langosta, ó pulgón: si sus enemigos los tuvieren cercados en la tierra de su domicilio; cualquiera plaga ó enfermedad que sea;

If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;

“If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight, mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is,

Toute prière, toute supplication que l'homme vous fera dans le temple les mains étendues, après avoir reconnu la plaie de son cœur,

Toda oración y toda súplica que hiciere cualquier hombre, ó todo tu pueblo Israel, cuando cualquiera sintiere la plaga de su corazón, y extendiere sus manos á esta casa;

What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and spread out his hands toward this house,

Vous l'écouterez du haut du ciel, du lieu où est votre demeure ; vous serez miséricordieux, vous agirez et vous rétribuerez l'homme selon sa voie, selon ce que vous aurez vu dans son cœur, car vous seul connaissez le cœur de tous les fils des hommes.

Tú oirás en los cielos, en la habitación de tu morada, y perdonarás, y obrarás, y darás á cada uno conforme á sus caminos, cuyo corazón tú conoces; (porque sólo tú conoces el corazón de todos los hijos de los hombres;)

Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)

then hear in heaven, your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to every man according to all his ways, whose heart you know (for you, even you only, know the hearts of all the children of men);

Ainsi auront-ils crainte de vous tout le temps qu'ils vivront en la terre que vous avez donnée à nos pères.

Para que te teman todos los días que vivieren sobre la haz de la tierra que tú diste á nuestros padres.

That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land which you gave to our fathers.

Lorsque l'étranger qui n'est point de votre peuple,

Asimismo el extranjero, que no es de tu pueblo Israel, que hubiere venido de lejanas tierras á causa de tu nombre,

Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name’s sake;

“Moreover, concerning the foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, when he comes out of a far country for your name’s sake

Entrera aussi et priera dans ce lieu,

(Porque oirán de tu grande nombre, y de tu mano fuerte, y de tu brazo extendido;) y viniere á orar á esta casa;

(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;

(for they shall hear of your great name and of your mighty hand and of your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this house,

Du haut du ciel, du lieu où est votre demeure, vous accomplirez tout ce que vous aura demandé l'étranger, afin que tous les peuples connaissent votre nom, qu'ils aient crainte de vous comme le peuple d'Israël, et qu'ils sachent que votre nom est invoqué dans ce temple que j'ai bâti.

Si votre peuple va en guerre contre ses ennemis dans une voie où vous lui ferez prendre la fuite, il invoquera le nom du Seigneur en se tournant vers la ville que vous vous êtes choisie, et vers le temple que j'ai bâti à votre nom,

Ils pècheront contre vous, car il n'est point d'homme qui ne pèche, et vous les emmènerez, vous les livrerez à leurs ennemis, et les captifs seront conduits en une terre voisine ou lointaine.

Si hubieren pecado contra ti, (porque no hay hombre que no peque) y tú estuvieres airado contra ellos, y los entregares delante del enemigo, para que los cautiven y lleven á tierra enemiga, sea lejos ó cerca,

If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

Car c'est votre peuple, c'est votre héritage, que vous avez tiré de la terre d'Égypte, du milieu d'une fournaise de fer.

Porque ellos son tu pueblo y tu heredad, que tú sacaste de Egipto, de en medio del horno de hierro.

Que vos yeux, que vos oreilles, restent ouverts à la prière que vous fait votre serviteur, à la prière que vous fait votre peuple Israël ; écoutez-les en toutes les choses pour lesquelles ils vous invoqueront.

Que tus ojos estén abiertos á la oración de tu siervo, y á la plegaria de tu pueblo Israel, para oirlos en todo aquello por lo que te invocaren:

That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.

Car c'est vous qui les avez mis à part, entre tous les autres peuples, pour être votre héritage, comme vous l'aviez promis à Moïse, lorsque vous avez ramené nos pères de la terre d'Égypte, Seigneur, ô Seigneur. Alors, Salomon parla du temple qu'il avait fait bâtir ; il fit connaître le soleil dans le ciel : Le Seigneur a voulu habiter dans une nuée ténébreuse ; bâtis-moi, a-t-il dit, un temple, une demeure magnifique pour que j'y habite d'une manière nouvelle. {Voici n'est-ce pas écrit dans le livre des hymnes ?}

Pues que tú los apartaste para ti por tu heredad de todos los pueblos de la tierra, como lo dijiste por mano de Moisés tu siervo, cuando sacaste á nuestros padres de Egipto, oh Señor Jehová.

For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.

Lorsque Salomon eut achevé toute cette prière, cette oraison au Seigneur, il se tint debout après s'être agenouillé devant l'autel du Seigneur ; puis, les mains étendues vers le ciel,

Y fué, que como acabó Salomón de hacer á Jehová toda esta oración y súplica, levantóse de estar de rodillas delante del altar de Jehová con sus manos extendidas al cielo;

And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

Béni soit aujourd'hui le Seigneur qui a donné la paix à Israël son peuple, selon tout ce qu'il avait dit ! Nulle de ses paroles ne s'est trouvée en défaut parmi toutes les bonnes paroles qu'il avait dites par la bouche de Moïse, son serviteur.

Bendito sea Jehová, que ha dado reposo á su pueblo Israel, conforme á todo lo que él había dicho; ninguna palabra de todas sus promesas que expresó por Moisés su siervo, ha faltado.

Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

D'incliner vers lui nos cœurs, de marcher dans toutes ses voies et d'observer tous ses commandements, tous les préceptes qu'il a donnés à nos pères.

Incline nuestro corazón hacia sí, para que andemos en todos sus caminos, y guardemos sus mandamientos y sus estatutos y sus derechos, los cuales mandó á nuestros padres.

That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.

Afin que tous les peuples de la terre sachent que le Seigneur Dieu est le seul Dieu, et qu'il n'y a point d'autre Dieu que lui.

Puissent nos cœurs être parfaits devant le Seigneur notre Dieu, marcher saintement dans ses préceptes, et observer ses commandements, comme aujourd'hui.

Sea pues perfecto vuestro corazón para con Jehová nuestro Dios, andando en sus estatutos, y guardando sus mandamientos, como el día de hoy.

Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

Ensuite, le roi et tous les fils d'Israël immolèrent des victimes devant le Seigneur.

And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.

Aquel mismo día santificó el rey el medio del atrio que estaba delante de la casa de Jehová: porque ofreció allí los holocaustos, y los presentes, y los sebos de los pacíficos; por cuanto el altar de bronce que estaba delante de Jehová era pequeño, y no cupieran en él los holocaustos, y los presentes, y los sebos de los pacíficos.

The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

Et le roi Salomon, ce jour-là, commença la fête, et avec lui tout Isarël, une immense assemblée accourue depuis les gorges d'Emath jusqu'au fleuve d'Égypte, devant le Seigneur notre Dieu, au temple qu'on lui avait bâti ; ils mangeaient, buvaient et se réjouissaient devant le Seigneur notre Dieu, pendant sept jours.

En aquel tiempo Salomón hizo fiesta, y con él todo Israel, una grande congregación, desde como entran en Hamath hasta el río de Egipto, delante de Jehová nuestro Dios, por siete días y otros siete días, esto es, por catorce días.

Et le huitième jour, Salomon congédia le peuple, et ils bénirent le roi. Et chacun s'en retourna en sa demeure plein de joie, le cœur pénétré des biens que le Seigneur avait accordés à David son serviteur, ainsi qu'à Israël son peuple.

Y el octavo día despidió al pueblo: y ellos bendiciendo al rey, se fueron á sus estancias alegres y gozosos de corazón por todos los beneficios que Jehová había hecho á David su siervo, y á su pueblo Israel.
