Então Salomão mandou chamar a Jerusalém todos os líderes de Israel, os líderes das tribos e os chefes das famílias israelitas a fim de verem a mudança da arca da aliança do Senhor, do Tabernáculo em Sião, a Cidade de Davi, para o templo.
ENTONCES juntó Salomón los ancianos de Israel, y á todas las cabezas de las tribus, y á los príncipes de las familias de los hijos de Israel, al rey Salomón en Jerusalem para traer el arca del pacto de Jehová de la ciudad de David, que es Sión.
Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Na arca havia só as duas tábuas de pedra que Moisés tinha colocado ali, no monte Horebe, na ocasião em que o Senhor fez a aliança com os israelitas, depois que saíram do Egito.

I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.

Então o rei virou-se e olhou para todo o povo enquanto estavam em pé diante dele, e abençoou todos.

‘Quando eu trouxe o meu povo do Egito, não indiquei nenhuma cidade das tribos de Israel para construir o meu templo, mas escolhi um homem, o rei Davi, para ser o guia do meu povo’.

“Meu pai Davi tinha no coração o desejo de construir um templo em nome do Senhor, o Deus de Israel,

porém o Senhor disse a ele: ‘Estou contente porque você teve um plano de construir um templo em honra ao meu nome,
Mas Jehová dijo á David mi padre: Cuanto á haber tú tenido en el corazón edificar casa á mi nombre, bien has hecho en tener tal voluntad;
And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.
But the LORD said to David my father, ‘Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.
porém não será você que o construirá, e sim o seu filho que construirá um templo em honra ao meu nome’.

Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.

“E o Senhor fez o que prometeu: Sou o sucessor do meu pai Davi, como rei de Israel, e agora ocupo o trono de Israel, como o Senhor havia prometido, e construí este templo para o nome do Senhor, o Deus de Israel.
Y Jehová ha verificado su palabra que había dicho; que me he levantado yo en lugar de David mi padre, y heme sentado en el trono de Israel, como Jehová había dicho, y he edificado la casa al nombre de Jehová Dios de Israel.
And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

E eu preparei um lugar no templo para a arca, na qual estão as tábuas da aliança do Senhor, aliança feita pelo Senhor com nossos pais na ocasião em que ele os tirou da terra do Egito”.

Então, enquanto todo o povo observava, Salomão se pôs em pé diante do altar do Senhor, com as mãos erguidas para o céu,
Púsose luego Salomón delante del altar de Jehová, en presencia de toda la congregación de Israel, y extendiendo sus manos al cielo,
And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:

e orou: “Ó Senhor, Deus de Israel, não há Deus igual ao Senhor no céu e na terra, porque o Senhor guarda a aliança de amor com os seus servos, que de todo o coração procuram fazer a sua vontade.
Dijo: Jehová Dios de Israel, no hay Dios como tú, ni arriba en los cielos ni abajo en la tierra, que guardas el pacto y la misericordia á tus siervos, los que andan delante de ti de todo su corazón;
And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:
and he said, “LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath; who keeps covenant and loving kindness with your servants who walk before you with all their heart;
O Senhor cumpriu hoje a promessa feita a meu pai Davi, que era seu servo.
Que has guardado á tu siervo David mi padre lo que le dijiste: dijístelo con tu boca, y con tu mano lo has cumplido, como aparece este día.
Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
who has kept with your servant David my father that which you promised him. Yes, you spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.
“E agora, ó Senhor, Deus de Israel, cumpra a outra promessa que fez ao seu servo Davi, meu pai, quando disse: ‘Você nunca deixará de ter, diante de mim, um dos filhos que siga os meus caminhos e procure fazer a minha vontade como você tem feito; sempre haverá um deles sentado no trono de Israel’.
Ahora pues, Jehová Dios de Israel, cumple á tu siervo David mi padre lo que le prometiste, diciendo: No faltará varón de ti delante de mí, que se siente en el trono de Israel, con tal que tus hijos guarden su camino, que anden delante de mí como tú has delante de mí andado.
Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
Now therefore, may LORD, the God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, to walk before me as you have walked before me.’
Sim, ó Deus de Israel, cumpra essa promessa que falou ao seu servo Davi, meu pai.
Ahora pues, oh Dios de Israel, verifíquese tu palabra que dijiste á tu siervo David mi padre.
And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
“Now therefore, God of Israel, please let your word be verified, which you spoke to your servant David my father.
“Mas, será que é possível que Deus realmente more na terra? Pois os céus e os mais altos céus são pequenos para o Senhor caber neles, e muito menor é este templo que eu fiz.
Empero ¿es verdad que Dios haya de morar sobre la tierra? He aquí que los cielos, los cielos de los cielos, no te pueden contener: ¿cuánto menos esta casa que yo he edificado?
But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house that I have built!
No entanto, ó Senhor, meu Deus, o Senhor tem ouvido a oração do seu servo e respondido a ela. Ouça o clamor e a oração que o seu servo faz hoje na sua presença.
Con todo, tú atenderás á la oración de tu siervo, y á su plegaria, oh Jehová Dios mío, oyendo propicio el clamor y oración que tu siervo hace hoy delante de ti:
Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:
Yet have respect for the prayer of your servant and for his supplication, LORD my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which your servant prays before you today;
Que os seus olhos estejam sobre este templo, lugar onde prometeu morar, de dia e de noite, para que ouça a oração que o seu servo fizer voltado para este lugar.
Que estén tus ojos abiertos de noche y de día sobre esta casa, sobre este lugar del cual has dicho: Mi nombre estará allí; y que oigas la oración que tu siervo hará en este lugar.
That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.
that your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, ‘My name shall be there;’ to listen to the prayer which your servant prays toward this place.
Ouça os pedidos do seu servo e de Israel, o seu povo, sempre que voltarmos o rosto para este lugar e orarmos; sim, ouça nos céus, lugar da sua habitação, e quando ouvir, dê-nos o seu perdão.
Oye pues la oración de tu siervo, y de tu pueblo Israel; cuando oraren en este lugar, también tú lo oirás en el lugar de tu habitación, desde los cielos: que oigas y perdones.
And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.
Listen to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, hear in heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive.
“Se um homem for acusado de pecar contra o seu próximo e depois, estando aqui diante do seu altar, jurar que ele não fez tal coisa,
Cuando alguno hubiere pecado contra su prójimo, y le tomaren juramento haciéndole jurar, y viniere el juramento delante de tu altar en esta casa;
If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:
“If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house,
ouça dos céus e faça o que for certo; julgue os seus servos; condene o culpado, fazendo recair sobre ele a consequência do seu proceder, e declare sem culpa o inocente, retribuindo-lhe segundo o seu merecimento.
Tú oirás desde el cielo, y obrarás, y juzgarás á tus siervos, condenando al impío, tornando su proceder sobre su cabeza, y justificando al justo para darle conforme á su justicia.
Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

“E quando o seu povo pecar e os inimigos do seu povo o derrotarem, e ele se voltar para o Senhor e invocar o seu nome, orando e suplicando ao Senhor neste templo,
Cuando tu pueblo Israel hubiere caído delante de sus enemigos, por haber pecado contra ti, y á ti se volvieren, y confesaren tu nombre, y oraren, y te rogaren y suplicaren en esta casa;
When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:
“When your people Israel are struck down before the enemy because they have sinned against you, if they turn again to you and confess your name, and pray and make supplication to you in this house,
ouça dos céus os seus filhos e perdoe o pecado do seu povo, faça que eles voltem de novo a esta terra que o Senhor deu aos seus pais.
Oyelos tú en los cielos, y perdona el pecado de tu pueblo Israel, y vuélvelos á la tierra que diste á sus padres.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.
then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again to the land which you gave to their fathers.
“E quando os céus se fecharem e não houver chuva por causa do pecado do seu povo contra o Senhor, e o seu povo orar voltado para este lugar, invocar o seu nome e confessar o seu nome e afastar-se do seu pecado depois de os haver castigado,
Cuando el cielo se cerrare, y no lloviere, por haber ellos pecado contra ti, y te rogaren en este lugar, y confesaren tu nombre, y se volvieren del pecado, cuando los hubieres afligido;
When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:
“When the sky is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray toward this place and confess your name, and turn from their sin when you afflict them,
ouça dos céus e perdoe o pecado dos seus servos, do seu povo Israel, ajude os seus filhos a seguirem nos bons caminhos em que devem andar, e envie chuva sobre a terra que o Senhor deu por herança ao seu povo.
Tú oirás en los cielos, y perdonarás el pecado de tus siervos y de tu pueblo Israel, enseñándoles el buen camino en que anden; y darás lluvias sobre tu tierra, la cual diste á tu pueblo por heredad.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on your land which you have given to your people for an inheritance.
“Se houver fome na terra causada por praga, por ferrugem ou mofo, por gafanhotos e lagartas, ou se os inimigos de Israel cercarem uma das suas cidades, ou se o povo for atingido por alguma epidemia ou praga,
Cuando en la tierra hubiere hambre, ó pestilencia, ó tizoncillo, ó niebla, ó langosta, ó pulgón: si sus enemigos los tuvieren cercados en la tierra de su domicilio; cualquiera plaga ó enfermedad que sea;
If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;
“If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight, mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is,
então, quando alguém do povo reconhecer que pecou e orar e suplicar por misericórdia estendendo as suas mãos na direção deste templo,
Toda oración y toda súplica que hiciere cualquier hombre, ó todo tu pueblo Israel, cuando cualquiera sintiere la plaga de su corazón, y extendiere sus manos á esta casa;
What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:
whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and spread out his hands toward this house,
ouça dos céus, o lugar da sua habitação. Perdoe os seus filhos e aja, respondendo a todos os que fizerem uma confissão sincera; porque o Senhor conhece o coração de cada um.
Tú oirás en los cielos, en la habitación de tu morada, y perdonarás, y obrarás, y darás á cada uno conforme á sus caminos, cuyo corazón tú conoces; (porque sólo tú conoces el corazón de todos los hijos de los hombres;)
Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)

Deste modo eles sempre aprenderão a temer o Senhor enquanto continuarem a viver nesta terra que o Senhor deu aos seus antepassados.
Para que te teman todos los días que vivieren sobre la haz de la tierra que tú diste á nuestros padres.
That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

“E quando os estrangeiros, os que não pertencem a Israel, o seu povo, ouvirem falar do seu grande nome e vierem de terras distantes para adorar o Senhor —
Asimismo el extranjero, que no es de tu pueblo Israel, que hubiere venido de lejanas tierras á causa de tu nombre,
Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name’s sake;
“Moreover, concerning the foreigner, who is not of your people Israel, when he comes out of a far country for your name’s sake
porque eles ouvirão falar do seu grande nome e dos poderosos milagres — e orarem voltados para este templo,
(Porque oirán de tu grande nombre, y de tu mano fuerte, y de tu brazo extendido;) y viniere á orar á esta casa;
(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
(for they shall hear of your great name and of your mighty hand and of your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this house,
ouça da sua morada nos céus, o lugar da sua habitação, a essas pessoas e responda às orações que fizerem. E todas as nações da terra vão conhecer e vão temer o seu nome, assim como o seu próprio povo Israel conhece e teme o seu nome; e toda a terra vai ficar sabendo que este é o seu templo, onde o seu nome é invocado.
Tú oirás en los cielos, en la habitación de tu morada, y harás conforme á todo aquello por lo cual el extranjero hubiere á ti clamado: para que todos los pueblos de la tierra conozcan tu nombre, y te teman, como tu pueblo Israel, y entiendan que tu nombre es invocado sobre esta casa que yo edifiqué.

“Quando enviar seu povo para a guerra contra os seus inimigos e o seu povo orar ao Senhor, olhando para a cidade de Jerusalém, que o Senhor escolheu, e para este templo, que edifiquei ao seu nome,
Si tu pueblo saliere en batalla contra sus enemigos por el camino que tú los enviares, y oraren á Jehová hacia la ciudad que tú elegiste, y hacia la casa que yo edifiqué á tu nombre,

Si hubieren pecado contra ti, (porque no hay hombre que no peque) y tú estuvieres airado contra ellos, y los entregares delante del enemigo, para que los cautiven y lleven á tierra enemiga, sea lejos ó cerca,
If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

se eles pensarem bem no que fizeram e se arrependerem e clamarem ao Senhor, dizendo: ‘Pecamos, praticamos o que é mal e fomos rebeldes’;

se eles de todo o coração e toda a alma se converterem ao Senhor e orarem voltados para esta terra que deu aos seus pais e para esta cidade de Jerusalém que o Senhor escolheu, e para este templo que construí ao seu nome,
Y si se convirtieren á ti de todo su corazón y de toda su alma, en la tierra de sus enemigos que los hubieren llevado cautivos, y oraren á ti hacia su tierra, que tú diste á sus padres, hacia la ciudad que tú elegiste y la casa que yo he edificado á tu nombre;

And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

pois são o seu povo e a sua herança, que o Senhor tirou do Egito, de uma fornalha de fundição.
Porque ellos son tu pueblo y tu heredad, que tú sacaste de Egipto, de en medio del horno de hierro.
For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:

Que os seus olhos estejam abertos, e que os seus ouvidos ouçam as súplicas de Israel, o seu povo. Ó Senhor, ouça e responda aos seus filhos quando eles clamarem ao Senhor,
Que tus ojos estén abiertos á la oración de tu siervo, y á la plegaria de tu pueblo Israel, para oirlos en todo aquello por lo que te invocaren:
That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.
that your eyes may be open to the supplication of your servant and to the supplication of your people Israel, to listen to them whenever they cry to you.
porque quando tirou nossos pais da terra do Egito, o Senhor disse ao seu servo Moisés que tinha escolhido Israel dentre todas as nações da terra para ser a sua herança!”
Pues que tú los apartaste para ti por tu heredad de todos los pueblos de la tierra, como lo dijiste por mano de Moisés tu siervo, cuando sacaste á nuestros padres de Egipto, oh Señor Jehová.
For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.

Salomão estava de joelhos, com as mãos erguidas para os céus. Quando terminou a oração, ele se levantou diante do altar do Senhor
Y fué, que como acabó Salomón de hacer á Jehová toda esta oración y súplica, levantóse de estar de rodillas delante del altar de Jehová con sus manos extendidas al cielo;
And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

“Bendito seja o Senhor que cumpriu sua promessa e deu descanso ao seu povo Israel; nem uma só palavra falhou de todas as maravilhosas promessas anunciadas por meio do seu servo Moisés.
Bendito sea Jehová, que ha dado reposo á su pueblo Israel, conforme á todo lo que él había dicho; ninguna palabra de todas sus promesas que expresó por Moisés su siervo, ha faltado.
Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

Que o Senhor, o nosso Deus, esteja com todos nós como esteve com os nossos antepassados; que ele não nos deixe e jamais nos abandone!

Que ele nos dê o desejo de nos voltarmos para ele de todo o coração, e de andarmos em todos os seus caminhos e obedecermos a todos os mandamentos, decretos e juízos que ele deu a nossos antepassados.
Incline nuestro corazón hacia sí, para que andemos en todos sus caminos, y guardemos sus mandamientos y sus estatutos y sus derechos, los cuales mandó á nuestros padres.
That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.

E que as palavras da minha súplica ao Senhor estejam sempre diante do Senhor, o nosso Deus, dia e noite, de modo que ele ajude ao seu servo e a todo o Israel, o seu povo, de acordo com as necessidades de cada um.
Y que estas mis palabras con que he orado delante de Jehová, estén cerca de Jehová nuestro Dios de día y de noche, para que él proteja la causa de su siervo, y de su pueblo Israel, cada cosa en su tiempo;

Assim, todos os povos de toda a terra saberão que o Senhor é Deus, e que não há nenhum outro.
A fin de que todos los pueblos de la tierra sepan que Jehová es Dios, y que no hay otro.
That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.

Que o coração de vocês seja completamente íntegro para com o Senhor, o nosso Deus; e que vocês sempre obedeçam às suas leis e aos seus mandamentos, assim como fazem neste dia”.
Sea pues perfecto vuestro corazón para con Jehová nuestro Dios, andando en sus estatutos, y guardando sus mandamientos, como el día de hoy.
Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

Então o rei e todo o povo de Israel ofereceram sacrifícios ao Senhor.

Ele ofereceu em sacrifício de paz um total de vinte e dois mil bois e cento e vinte mil ovelhas! Assim o rei e todos os filhos de Israel fizeram a dedicação do templo do Senhor.
Y sacrificó Salomón por sacrificios pacíficos, los cuales ofreció á Jehová, veinte y dos mil bueyes, y ciento veinte mil ovejas. Así dedicaron el rey y todos los hijos de Israel la casa de Jehová.
And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.

No mesmo dia, o rei consagrou o centro do pátio em frente do templo do Senhor e ali ofereceu ofertas queimadas, ofertas de cereais e a gordura das ofertas de paz, porque o altar de bronze era muito pequeno para as ofertas queimadas, as ofertas de cereais e a gordura das ofertas de paz.
Aquel mismo día santificó el rey el medio del atrio que estaba delante de la casa de Jehová: porque ofreció allí los holocaustos, y los presentes, y los sebos de los pacíficos; por cuanto el altar de bronce que estaba delante de Jehová era pequeño, y no cupieran en él los holocaustos, y los presentes, y los sebos de los pacíficos.
The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

Naquela ocasião, Salomão e todo o povo de Israel celebraram a festa diante do Senhor, durante catorze dias, e veio uma grande multidão, de uma extremidade da terra à outra, desde Lebo-Hamate até o ribeiro do Egito.
En aquel tiempo Salomón hizo fiesta, y con él todo Israel, una grande congregación, desde como entran en Hamath hasta el río de Egipto, delante de Jehová nuestro Dios, por siete días y otros siete días, esto es, por catorce días.

Depois Salomão mandou o povo para casa. Eles abençoaram o rei e foram embora com o coração alegre por toda a bondade que o Senhor havia mostrado a seu servo Davi e ao seu povo Israel.
Y el octavo día despidió al pueblo: y ellos bendiciendo al rey, se fueron á sus estancias alegres y gozosos de corazón por todos los beneficios que Jehová había hecho á David su siervo, y á su pueblo Israel.
