und wisset, dafi ihr nicht mit verganglichem Silber Oder Gold erloset seid von eurem eitlen Wandel nach vaterlicher Weise,

Sabiendo que habéis sido rescatados de vuestra vana conversación, la cual recibisteis de vuestros padres, no con cosas corruptibles, como oro ó plata;

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,
