PEDRO, apóstol de Jesucristo, á los extranjeros esparcidos en Ponto, en Galacia, en Capadocia, en Asia, y en Bithinia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

choisis selon la prescience de Dieu le Père, par la sanctification de l'Esprit, pour obéir à la foi et pour avoir part à l'aspersion du sang de Jésus-Christ : à vous grâce et paix de plus en plus.

Elegidos según la presciencia de Dios Padre en santificación del Espíritu, para obedecer y ser rociados con la sangre de Jesucristo: Gracia y paz os sea multiplicada.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

Béni soit Dieu, le Père de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, qui selon sa grande miséricorde nous a régénérés par la résurrection de Jésus-Christ d'entre les morts pour une vivante espérance ;

Bendito el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que según su grande misericordia nos ha regenerado en esperanza viva, por la resurrección de Jesucristo de los muertos,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

pour un héritage incorruptible, sans souillure et inflétrissable, qui vous est réservé dans les cieux,

Para una herencia incorruptible, y que no puede contaminarse, ni marchitarse, reservada en los cielos

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,

à vous que la puissance de Dieu garde par la foi pour le salut, qui est prêt à se manifester au dernier moment.

Para nosotros que somos guardados en la virtud de Dios por fe, para alcanzar la salud que está aparejada para ser manifestada en el postrimero tiempo.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Dans cette pensée, vous tressaillez de joie, bien qu'il vous faille encore pour un peu de temps être affligés par diverses épreuves,

En lo cual vosotros os alegráis, estando al presente un poco de tiempo afligidos en diversas tentaciones, si es necesario,

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,

afin que l'épreuve de votre foi beaucoup plus précieuse que l'or périssable que l'on ne laisse pourtant pas d'éprouver par le feu, vous soit un sujet de louange, de gloire et d'honneur lorsque se manifestera Jésus-Christ.

Para que la prueba de vuestra fe, mucho más preciosa que el oro, el cual perece, bien que sea probado con fuego, sea hallada en alabanza, gloria y honra, cuando Jesucristo fuere manifestado:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Vous l'aimez sans l'avoir jamais vu ; vous croyez en lui, bien que maintenant encore vous ne le voyiez pas ; et vous tressaillez d'une joie ineffable, et pleine de gloire,

Al cual, no habiendo visto, le amáis; en el cual creyendo, aunque al presente no lo veáis, os alegráis con gozo inefable y glorificado;

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

sûrs que vous êtes de remporter le prix de votre foi, le salut de vos âmes.

Obteniendo el fin de vuestra fe, que es la salud de vuestras almas.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Ce salut a été l'objet des recherches et des méditations de ceux d'entre les prophètes dont les prédictions annoncent la grâce qui vous était destinée ;

De la cual salud los profetas que profetizaron de la gracia que había de venir á vosotros, han inquirido y diligentemente buscado,

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,

ils cherchaient à découvrir quel temps et quelles circonstances indiquait l'Esprit du Christ qui était en eux, et qui attestait d'avance les souffrances réservées au Christ et la gloire dont elles devaient être suivies.

Escudriñando cuándo y en qué punto de tiempo significaba el Espíritu de Cristo que estaba en ellos, el cual prenunciaba las aflicciones que habían de venir á Cristo, y las glorias después de ellas.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them pointed to when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow them.

Il leur a été révélé que ce n'était pas pour eux-mêmes, mais pour vous, qu'ils avaient charge de dispenser les choses que vous ont aujourd'hui annoncées ceux qui, par le Saint-Esprit envoyé du ciel, vous ont prêché l'Evangile : mystère profond, où les anges désirent plonger leurs regards.

A los cuales fué revelado, que no para sí mismos, sino para nosotros administraban las cosas que ahora os son anunciadas de los que os han predicado el evangelio por el Espíritu Santo enviado del cielo; en las cuales desean mirar los ángeles.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

To them it was revealed that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

C'est pourquoi, ayant ceint les reins de votre esprit, soyez sobres, et tournez toute votre espérance vers cette grâce qui vous sera apportée le jour où Jésus-Christ paraîtra.

Por lo cual, teniendo los lomos de vuestro entendimiento ceñidos, con templanza, esperad perfectamente en la gracia que os es presentada cuando Jesucristo os es manifestado:

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Comme des enfants obéissants, ne vous conformez plus aux convoitises que vous suiviez autrefois, au temps de votre ignorance ;

Como hijos obedientes, no conformándoos con los deseos que antes teníais estando en vuestra ignorancia;

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,

mais à l'imitation du Saint qui vous a appelés, vous-mêmes aussi soyez saints dans toute votre conduite,

Sino como aquel que os ha llamado es santo, sed también vosotros santos en toda conversación:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior,

car il est écrit : " Soyez saints, parce que je suis saint. "

Porque escrito está: Sed santos, porque yo soy santo.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Et si vous donnez le nom de Père à celui qui, sans faire acception des personnes, juge chacun selon ses œuvres, vivez dans la crainte pendant le temps de votre séjour comme étrangers ici-bas :

Y si invocáis por Padre á aquel que sin acepción de personas juzga según la obra de cada uno, conversad en temor todo el tiempo de vuestra peregrinación:

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,

sachant que vous avez été affranchis de la vaine manière de vivre que vous teniez de vos pères, non par des choses périssables, de l'argent ou de l'or,

Sabiendo que habéis sido rescatados de vuestra vana conversación, la cual recibisteis de vuestros padres, no con cosas corruptibles, como oro ó plata;

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,

mais par un sang précieux, celui de l'agneau sans défaut et sans tache, le sang du Christ,

Sino con la sangre preciosa de Cristo, como de un cordero sin mancha y sin contaminación:

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,

qui a été désigné dès avant la création du monde, et manifesté dans les derniers temps à cause de vous.

Ya ordenado de antes de la fundación del mundo, pero manifestado en los postrimeros tiempos por amor de vosotros,

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,

C'est par lui que vous avez la foi en Dieu, qui l'a ressuscité des morts et qui lui a donné la gloire, en sorte que votre foi est en même temps votre espérance en Dieu.

Que por él creéis á Dios, el cual le resucitó de los muertos, y le ha dado gloria, para que vuestra fe y esperanza sea en Dios.

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

Puisque vous avez, en obéissant à la vérité, purifié vos âmes et que par là vous vous êtes engagés à un sincère amour fraternel, aimez-vous ardemment les uns les autres, du fond du cœur,

Habiendo purificado vuestra almas en la obediencia de la verdad, por el Espíritu, en caridad hermanable sin fingimiento, amaos unos á otros entrañablemente de corazón puro:

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

régénérés que vous êtes d'un germe non corruptible mais incorruptible, par la parole de Dieu vivante et éternelle.

Siendo renacidos, no de simiente corruptible, sino de incorruptible, por la palabra de Dios, que vive y permanece para siempre.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

Car " toute chair est comme l'herbe, et toute sa gloire comme la fleur de l'herbe : l'herbe sèche et sa fleur tombe ;

Porque Toda carne es como la hierba, y toda la gloria del hombre como la flor de la hierba: secóse la hierba, y la flor se cayó;

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

mais la parole du Seigneur demeure éternellement. " C'est cette parole dont la bonne nouvelle vous a été apportée.

Mas la palabra del Señor permanece perpetuamente. Y esta es la palabra que por el evangelio os ha sido anunciada.

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
