Pierre, Apôtre de Jésus-Christ, aux étrangers qui êtes dispersés dans le pays du Pont, en Galatie, en Cappadoce, en Asie, et en Bithynie,

PEDRO, apóstol de Jesucristo, á los extranjeros esparcidos en Ponto, en Galacia, en Capadocia, en Asia, y en Bithinia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

Elus selon la prescience de Dieu le Père, par l’Esprit sanctifiant, pour obéir à Jésus-Christ et pour obtenir l’aspersion de son sang : que la grâce et la paix vous soient multipliées.

Elegidos según la presciencia de Dios Padre en santificación del Espíritu, para obedecer y ser rociados con la sangre de Jesucristo: Gracia y paz os sea multiplicada.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

Béni soit Dieu, le Père de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, qui par sa grande miséricorde nous a régénérés pour avoir une espérance vive, par la résurrection de Jésus-Christ d’entre les morts ;

Bendito el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que según su grande misericordia nos ha regenerado en esperanza viva, por la resurrección de Jesucristo de los muertos,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

D’obtenir l’héritage incorruptible, qui ne se peut souiller, ni flétrir, conservé dans les cieux pour nous,

Para una herencia incorruptible, y que no puede contaminarse, ni marchitarse, reservada en los cielos

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,

Qui sommes gardés par la puissance de Dieu, par la foi, afin que nous obtenions le salut, qui est prêt d’être révélé au dernier temps.

Para nosotros que somos guardados en la virtud de Dios por fe, para alcanzar la salud que está aparejada para ser manifestada en el postrimero tiempo.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

En quoi vous vous réjouissez, quoique vous soyez maintenant affligés pour un peu de temps par diverses tentations, vu que cela est convenable ;

En lo cual vosotros os alegráis, estando al presente un poco de tiempo afligidos en diversas tentaciones, si es necesario,

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,

Afin que l’épreuve de votre foi, beaucoup plus précieuse que l’or, qui périt, et qui toutefois est éprouvé par le feu, vous tourne à louange, à honneur, et à gloire, quand Jésus-Christ sera révélé ;

Para que la prueba de vuestra fe, mucho más preciosa que el oro, el cual perece, bien que sea probado con fuego, sea hallada en alabanza, gloria y honra, cuando Jesucristo fuere manifestado:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Lequel, quoique vous ne l’ayez point vu, vous aimez ; en qui, quoique maintenant vous ne le voyiez point, vous croyez, et vous vous réjouissez d’une joie ineffable et glorieuse ;

Al cual, no habiendo visto, le amáis; en el cual creyendo, aunque al presente no lo veáis, os alegráis con gozo inefable y glorificado;

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

Remportant la fin de votre foi, savoir le salut des âmes.

Obteniendo el fin de vuestra fe, que es la salud de vuestras almas.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Duquel salut les Prophètes qui ont prophétisé de la grâce qui était réservée pour vous, se sont enquis, et l’ont diligemment recherché ;

De la cual salud los profetas que profetizaron de la gracia que había de venir á vosotros, han inquirido y diligentemente buscado,

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,

Recherchant soigneusement quand, et en quel temps, l’Esprit prophétique de Christ qui était en eux, rendant par avance témoignage, déclarait les souffrances qui devaient arriver à Christ, et la gloire qui les devait suivre.

Escudriñando cuándo y en qué punto de tiempo significaba el Espíritu de Cristo que estaba en ellos, el cual prenunciaba las aflicciones que habían de venir á Cristo, y las glorias después de ellas.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them pointed to when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow them.

Et il leur fut révélé que ce n’était pas pour eux-mêmes, mais pour nous, qu’ils administraient ces choses, lesquelles ceux qui vous ont prêché l’Evangile, par le Saint-Esprit envoyé du Ciel, vous ont maintenant annoncées, et dans lesquelles les Anges désirent de regarder jusqu’au fond.

A los cuales fué revelado, que no para sí mismos, sino para nosotros administraban las cosas que ahora os son anunciadas de los que os han predicado el evangelio por el Espíritu Santo enviado del cielo; en las cuales desean mirar los ángeles.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

To them it was revealed that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

Vous donc, ayant les reins de votre entendement ceints, et étant sobres, espérez parfaitement en la grâce qui vous est présentée, jusqu’à ce que Jésus-Christ soit révélé ;

Por lo cual, teniendo los lomos de vuestro entendimiento ceñidos, con templanza, esperad perfectamente en la gracia que os es presentada cuando Jesucristo os es manifestado:

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Comme des enfants obéissants, ne vous conformant point à vos convoitises d’autrefois, pendant votre ignorance.

Como hijos obedientes, no conformándoos con los deseos que antes teníais estando en vuestra ignorancia;

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,

Mais comme celui qui vous a appelés est saint, vous aussi de même soyez saints dans toute votre conversation ;

Sino como aquel que os ha llamado es santo, sed también vosotros santos en toda conversación:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior,

Parce qu’il est écrit : soyez saints, car je suis saint.

Porque escrito está: Sed santos, porque yo soy santo.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Et si vous invoquez comme votre Père celui qui sans avoir égard à l’apparence des personnes, juge selon l’oeuvre d’un chacun, conduisez-vous avec crainte durant le temps de votre séjour temporel ;

Y si invocáis por Padre á aquel que sin acepción de personas juzga según la obra de cada uno, conversad en temor todo el tiempo de vuestra peregrinación:

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,

Sachant que vous avez été rachetés de votre vaine conduite, qui vous avait été enseignée par vos pères, non point par des choses corruptibles, comme par argent, ou par or ;

Sabiendo que habéis sido rescatados de vuestra vana conversación, la cual recibisteis de vuestros padres, no con cosas corruptibles, como oro ó plata;

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,

Mais par le précieux sang de Christ, comme de l’agneau sans défaut et sans tache,

Sino con la sangre preciosa de Cristo, como de un cordero sin mancha y sin contaminación:

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,

Déjà ordonné avant la fondation du monde, mais manifesté dans les derniers temps pour vous ;

Ya ordenado de antes de la fundación del mundo, pero manifestado en los postrimeros tiempos por amor de vosotros,

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,

Qui par lui croyez en Dieu qui l’a ressuscité des morts, et qui lui a donné la gloire, afin que votre foi et votre espérance fussent en Dieu.

Que por él creéis á Dios, el cual le resucitó de los muertos, y le ha dado gloria, para que vuestra fe y esperanza sea en Dios.

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

Ayant donc purifié vos âmes en obéissant à la vérité par le Saint- Esprit, afin que vous ayez une amitié fraternelle qui soit sans hypocrisie, aimez-vous l’un l’autre tendrement d’un coeur pur.

Habiendo purificado vuestra almas en la obediencia de la verdad, por el Espíritu, en caridad hermanable sin fingimiento, amaos unos á otros entrañablemente de corazón puro:

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

Vu que vous avez été régénérés, non par une semence corruptible, mais par une semence incorruptible, savoir par la parole de Dieu, vivante, et permanente à toujours.

Siendo renacidos, no de simiente corruptible, sino de incorruptible, por la palabra de Dios, que vive y permanece para siempre.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

Parce que toute chair est comme l’herbe, et toute la gloire de l’homme comme la fleur de l’herbe ; l’herbe est séchée, et sa fleur est tombée ;

Porque Toda carne es como la hierba, y toda la gloria del hombre como la flor de la hierba: secóse la hierba, y la flor se cayó;

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

Mais la parole du Seigneur demeure éternellement ; et c’est cette parole qui vous a été évangélisée.

Mas la palabra del Señor permanece perpetuamente. Y esta es la palabra que por el evangelio os ha sido anunciada.

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
