Ich, Petrus, ein Apostel Jesu Christi, entbiete meinen Gruß den Fremdlingen, die in Pontus, Galatien, Kappadozien, (der römischen Provinz) Asien und Bithynien in der Zerstreuung leben

PEDRO, apóstol de Jesucristo, á los extranjeros esparcidos en Ponto, en Galacia, en Capadocia, en Asia, y en Bithinia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

und nach der Vorersehung Gottes des Vaters dazu auserwählt sind, in der Heiligung des Geistes zum Gehorsam und zur Besprengung mit dem Blute Jesu Christi (zu gelangen): Gnade und Friede möge euch immer reichlicher zuteil werden!

Elegidos según la presciencia de Dios Padre en santificación del Espíritu, para obedecer y ser rociados con la sangre de Jesucristo: Gracia y paz os sea multiplicada.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Gelobt sei der Gott und Vater unsers Herrn Jesus Christus, der nach seiner großen Barmherzigkeit uns wiedergeboren hat zu einer lebendigen Hoffnung durch die Auferstehung Jesu Christi von den Toten,

zu einem unvergänglichen, unbefleckten und unverwelklichen Erbe, das im Himmel aufbewahrt ist für euch,

Para una herencia incorruptible, y que no puede contaminarse, ni marchitarse, reservada en los cielos

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,

die ihr in der Kraft Gottes durch den Glauben für die Errettung bewahrt werdet, die (schon jetzt) bereitsteht, um in der letzten Zeit geoffenbart zu werden.

Para nosotros que somos guardados en la virtud de Dios por fe, para alcanzar la salud que está aparejada para ser manifestada en el postrimero tiempo.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Darüber jubelt ihr, mögt ihr jetzt auch eine kurze Zeit, wenn es so sein muß, durch mancherlei Anfechtung in Trübsal versetzt sein;

En lo cual vosotros os alegráis, estando al presente un poco de tiempo afligidos en diversas tentaciones, si es necesario,

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,

dadurch soll sich ja die Echtheit eures Glaubens bewähren und wertvoller erfunden werden als Gold, das vergänglich ist, aber durch Feuer in seiner Echtheit erprobt wird, und sich (euch) zum Lobe, zur Ehre und zur Verherrlichung bei der Offenbarung Jesu Christi erweisen.

Para que la prueba de vuestra fe, mucho más preciosa que el oro, el cual perece, bien que sea probado con fuego, sea hallada en alabanza, gloria y honra, cuando Jesucristo fuere manifestado:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Ihn habt ihr lieb, obgleich ihr ihn nicht gesehen habt; an ihn glaubt ihr, obgleich ihr ihn jetzt nicht seht, und ihm jubelt ihr mit unaussprechlicher und verklärter Freude entgegen,

Al cual, no habiendo visto, le amáis; en el cual creyendo, aunque al presente no lo veáis, os alegráis con gozo inefable y glorificado;

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

weil ihr das Endziel eures Glaubens davontragt, nämlich die Errettung eurer Seelen.

Obteniendo el fin de vuestra fe, que es la salud de vuestras almas.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

In betreff dieser Errettung haben die Propheten nachgesonnen und nachgeforscht, die von der euch zugedachten Gnade geweissagt haben,

De la cual salud los profetas que profetizaron de la gracia que había de venir á vosotros, han inquirido y diligentemente buscado,

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,

indem sie ausfindig zu machen suchten, welche oder was für eine Zeit es sei, auf welche der in ihnen wirkende Geist Christi hinwies, wenn er ihnen die für Christus bestimmten Leiden und seine darauf folgenden Verherrlichungen im voraus bezeugte.

Escudriñando cuándo y en qué punto de tiempo significaba el Espíritu de Cristo que estaba en ellos, el cual prenunciaba las aflicciones que habían de venir á Cristo, y las glorias después de ellas.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them pointed to when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow them.

Dabei wurde ihnen geoffenbart, daß sie durch ihren Dienst nicht sich selbst, sondern euch eben das vermitteln sollten, was euch jetzt durch die Männer verkündigt worden ist, die euch die Heilsbotschaft in der Kraft des vom Himmel hergesandten heiligen Geistes gepredigt haben: Dinge, in welche auch die Engel gern hineinschauen möchten.

A los cuales fué revelado, que no para sí mismos, sino para nosotros administraban las cosas que ahora os son anunciadas de los que os han predicado el evangelio por el Espíritu Santo enviado del cielo; en las cuales desean mirar los ángeles.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

To them it was revealed that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

Darum macht euch geistlich fertig zum rüstigen Vorwärtsschreiten, seid nüchtern und setzt eure Hoffnung ausschließlich auf die Gnade, die euch in der Offenbarung Jesu Christi dargeboten wird.

Por lo cual, teniendo los lomos de vuestro entendimiento ceñidos, con templanza, esperad perfectamente en la gracia que os es presentada cuando Jesucristo os es manifestado:

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Als gehorsame (Gottes-) Kinder gestaltet euer Leben nicht nach den Lüsten, die ihr früher während (der Zeit) eurer Unwissenheit gehegt habt,

Como hijos obedientes, no conformándoos con los deseos que antes teníais estando en vuestra ignorancia;

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,

sondern werdet nach dem Vorbild des Heiligen, der euch berufen hat, gleichfalls in eurem ganzen Wandel heilig,

Sino como aquel que os ha llamado es santo, sed también vosotros santos en toda conversación:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior,

weil ja doch geschrieben steht: »Ihr sollt heilig sein, denn ich bin heilig!«

Porque escrito está: Sed santos, porque yo soy santo.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

Und wenn ihr den als Vater anruft, der ohne Ansehen der Person nach dem Werk eines jeden richtet, so führet euren Wandel in Furcht während der Zeit eurer Fremdlingschaft;

Y si invocáis por Padre á aquel que sin acepción de personas juzga según la obra de cada uno, conversad en temor todo el tiempo de vuestra peregrinación:

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,

ihr wißt ja, daß ihr von eurem eitlen Wandel, den ihr von den Vätern her überkommen hattet, nicht mit vergänglichen Dingen, mit Silber oder Gold, losgekauft worden seid,

Sabiendo que habéis sido rescatados de vuestra vana conversación, la cual recibisteis de vuestros padres, no con cosas corruptibles, como oro ó plata;

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,

sondern mit dem kostbaren Blute Christi als eines fehllosen und unbefleckten Lammes.

Sino con la sangre preciosa de Cristo, como de un cordero sin mancha y sin contaminación:

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,

Er war zwar schon vor Grundlegung der Welt zuvorersehen, ist aber erst am Ende der Zeiten geoffenbart worden euch zugute;

Ya ordenado de antes de la fundación del mundo, pero manifestado en los postrimeros tiempos por amor de vosotros,

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,

denn durch ihn seid ihr zum Glauben an Gott gekommen, der ihn von den Toten auferweckt und ihm Herrlichkeit verliehen hat, so daß euer Glaube zugleich Hoffnung auf Gott ist.

Que por él creéis á Dios, el cual le resucitó de los muertos, y le ha dado gloria, para que vuestra fe y esperanza sea en Dios.

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

Da ihr eure Seelen im Gehorsam gegen die Wahrheit zu ungeheuchelter Bruderliebe gereinigt habt, so liebet einander innig von Herzen;

Habiendo purificado vuestra almas en la obediencia de la verdad, por el Espíritu, en caridad hermanable sin fingimiento, amaos unos á otros entrañablemente de corazón puro:

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

ihr seid ja nicht aus vergänglichem, sondern aus unvergänglichem Samen wiedergeboren, nämlich durch das lebendige und ewigbleibende Wort Gottes.

Siendo renacidos, no de simiente corruptible, sino de incorruptible, por la palabra de Dios, que vive y permanece para siempre.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

Denn »alles Fleisch ist wie Gras und alle seine Herrlichkeit wie des Grases Blume; das Gras verdorrt und seine Blume fällt ab,

Porque Toda carne es como la hierba, y toda la gloria del hombre como la flor de la hierba: secóse la hierba, y la flor se cayó;

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

das Wort des Herrn aber bleibt in Ewigkeit«. Dies ist aber das Wort, das euch als Heilsbotschaft verkündigt worden ist.

Mas la palabra del Señor permanece perpetuamente. Y esta es la palabra que por el evangelio os ha sido anunciada.

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
