Pietro, apostolo di Gesù Cristo, agli eletti che vivono come forestieri nella dispersione del Ponto, della Galazia, della Cappadocia, dell’Asia e della Bitinia,

PEDRO, apóstol de Jesucristo, á los extranjeros esparcidos en Ponto, en Galacia, en Capadocia, en Asia, y en Bithinia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

eletti secondo la prescienza di Dio Padre, mediante la santificazione dello Spirito, ad ubbidire e ad esser cosparsi del sangue di Gesù Cristo: grazia e pace vi siano moltiplicate.

Elegidos según la presciencia de Dios Padre en santificación del Espíritu, para obedecer y ser rociados con la sangre de Jesucristo: Gracia y paz os sea multiplicada.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

Benedetto sia l’Iddio e Padre del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, il quale nella sua gran misericordia ci ha fatti rinascere, mediante la risurrezione di Gesù Cristo dai morti,

Bendito el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que según su grande misericordia nos ha regenerado en esperanza viva, por la resurrección de Jesucristo de los muertos,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

ad una speranza viva in vista di una eredità incorruttibile, immacolata ed immarcescibile, conservata ne’ cieli per voi,

Para una herencia incorruptible, y que no puede contaminarse, ni marchitarse, reservada en los cielos

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,

che dalla potenza di Dio, mediante la fede, siete custoditi per la salvazione che sta per esser rivelata negli ultimi tempi.

Para nosotros que somos guardados en la virtud de Dios por fe, para alcanzar la salud que está aparejada para ser manifestada en el postrimero tiempo.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Nel che voi esultate, sebbene ora, per un po’ di tempo, se così bisogna, siate afflitti da svariate prove,

En lo cual vosotros os alegráis, estando al presente un poco de tiempo afligidos en diversas tentaciones, si es necesario,

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,

affinché la prova della vostra fede, molto più preziosa dell’oro che perisce, eppure è provato col fuoco, risulti a vostra lode, gloria ed onore alla rivelazione di Gesù Cristo:

Para que la prueba de vuestra fe, mucho más preciosa que el oro, el cual perece, bien que sea probado con fuego, sea hallada en alabanza, gloria y honra, cuando Jesucristo fuere manifestado:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

il quale, benché non l’abbiate veduto, voi amate; nel quale credendo, benché ora non lo vediate, voi gioite d’un’allegrezza ineffabile e gloriosa,

Al cual, no habiendo visto, le amáis; en el cual creyendo, aunque al presente no lo veáis, os alegráis con gozo inefable y glorificado;

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,

ottenendo il fine della fede: la salvezza della anime.

Obteniendo el fin de vuestra fe, que es la salud de vuestras almas.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Questa salvezza è stata l’oggetto delle ricerche e delle investigazioni dei profeti che profetizzarono della grazia a voi destinata.

De la cual salud los profetas que profetizaron de la gracia que había de venir á vosotros, han inquirido y diligentemente buscado,

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,

Essi indagavano qual fosse il tempo e quali le circostanze a cui lo Spirito di Cristo che era in loro accennava, quando anticipatamente testimoniava delle sofferenze di Cristo, e delle glorie che dovevano seguire.

Escudriñando cuándo y en qué punto de tiempo significaba el Espíritu de Cristo que estaba en ellos, el cual prenunciaba las aflicciones que habían de venir á Cristo, y las glorias después de ellas.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them pointed to when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow them.

E fu loro rivelato che non per se stessi ma per voi ministravano quelle cose che ora vi sono state annunziate da coloro che vi hanno evangelizzato per mezzo dello Spirito Santo mandato dal cielo; nelle quali cose gli angeli desiderano riguardare bene addentro.

A los cuales fué revelado, que no para sí mismos, sino para nosotros administraban las cosas que ahora os son anunciadas de los que os han predicado el evangelio por el Espíritu Santo enviado del cielo; en las cuales desean mirar los ángeles.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

To them it was revealed that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.

Perciò, avendo cinti i fianchi della vostra mente, e stando sobri, abbiate piena speranza nella grazia che vi sarà recata nella rivelazione di Gesù Cristo;

Por lo cual, teniendo los lomos de vuestro entendimiento ceñidos, con templanza, esperad perfectamente en la gracia que os es presentada cuando Jesucristo os es manifestado:

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

e, come figliuoli d’ubbidienza, non vi conformate alle concupiscenze del tempo passato quando eravate nell’ignoranza;

Como hijos obedientes, no conformándoos con los deseos que antes teníais estando en vuestra ignorancia;

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,

ma come Colui che vi ha chiamati è santo, anche voi siate santi in tutta la vostra condotta;

Sino como aquel que os ha llamado es santo, sed también vosotros santos en toda conversación:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior,

poiché sta scritto: Siate santi, perché io son santo.

Porque escrito está: Sed santos, porque yo soy santo.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

E se invocate come Padre Colui che senza riguardi personali giudica secondo l’opera di ciascuno, conducetevi con timore durante il tempo del vostro pellegrinaggio;

Y si invocáis por Padre á aquel que sin acepción de personas juzga según la obra de cada uno, conversad en temor todo el tiempo de vuestra peregrinación:

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,

sapendo che non con cose corruttibili, con argento o con oro, siete stati riscattati dal vano modo di vivere tramandatovi dai padri,

Sabiendo que habéis sido rescatados de vuestra vana conversación, la cual recibisteis de vuestros padres, no con cosas corruptibles, como oro ó plata;

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,

ma col prezioso sangue di Cristo, come d’agnello senza difetto né macchia,

Sino con la sangre preciosa de Cristo, como de un cordero sin mancha y sin contaminación:

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,

ben preordinato prima della fondazione del mondo, ma manifestato negli ultimi tempi per voi,

Ya ordenado de antes de la fundación del mundo, pero manifestado en los postrimeros tiempos por amor de vosotros,

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,

i quali per mezzo di lui credete in Dio che l’ha risuscitato dai morti e gli ha dato gloria, onde la vostra fede e la vostra speranza fossero in Dio.

Que por él creéis á Dios, el cual le resucitó de los muertos, y le ha dado gloria, para que vuestra fe y esperanza sea en Dios.

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

Avendo purificate le anime vostre coll’ubbidienza alla verità per arrivare a un amor fraterno non finto, amatevi l’un l’altro di cuore, intensamente,

Habiendo purificado vuestra almas en la obediencia de la verdad, por el Espíritu, en caridad hermanable sin fingimiento, amaos unos á otros entrañablemente de corazón puro:

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

poiché siete stati rigenerati non da seme corruttibile, ma incorruttibile, mediante la parola di Dio vivente e permanente.

Siendo renacidos, no de simiente corruptible, sino de incorruptible, por la palabra de Dios, que vive y permanece para siempre.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

Poiché Ogni carne è com’erba, e ogni sua gloria come il fior dell’erba. L’erba si secca, e il fiore cade;

Porque Toda carne es como la hierba, y toda la gloria del hombre como la flor de la hierba: secóse la hierba, y la flor se cayó;

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

ma la parola del Signore permane in eterno. E questa è la Parola della Buona Novella che vi è stata annunziata.

Mas la palabra del Señor permanece perpetuamente. Y esta es la palabra que por el evangelio os ha sido anunciada.

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
