Desta maneira, vós, esposas, deveis ser submissas aos vossos maridos, para que também, se alguns deles são desobedientes à Palavra, sejam alcançados sem palavra, por meio da vossa conduta,
ASIMISMO vosotras, mujeres, sed sujetas á vuestros maridos; para que también los que no creen á la palabra, sean ganados sin palabra por la conversación de sus mujeres,
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word,
observando o vosso comportamento puro e respeitoso.
Considerando vuestra casta conversación, que es en temor.
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
seeing your pure behavior in fear.
Que o vosso enfeite não seja o exterior, como cabelos trançados, joias de ouro ou roupas luxuosas;
El adorno de las cuales no sea exterior con encrespamiento del cabello, y atavío de oro, ni en compostura de ropas;
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning of braiding your hair, and of wearing gold ornaments or of putting on fine clothing,
mas, ao invés disso, esteja o interior do vosso coração revestido com um adorno incorruptível, que é um espírito gentil e manso, o qual é precioso diante de Deus.
Sino el hombre del corazón que está encubierto, en incorruptible ornato de espíritu agradable y pacífico, lo cual es de grande estima delante de Dios.
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Pois no passado, as santas mulheres enfeitavam-se dessa maneira. Elas tinham confiança em Deus e eram submissas a seus maridos.
Porque así también se ataviaban en el tiempo antiguo aquellas santas mujeres que esperaban en Dios, siendo sujetas á sus maridos:
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
For this is how in the past the holy women who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands.
Do mesmo modo que Sara obedeceu a Abraão e o chamou de senhor, dela vos tornastes filhas, praticando o bem e não temendo perturbação alguma.
Como Sara obedecía á Abraham, llamándole señor; de la cual vosotras sois hechas hijas, haciendo bien, y no sois espantadas de ningún pavor.
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
So Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are if you do well and are not put in fear by any terror.
Da mesma maneira, vós, maridos, deveis viver com vossas esposas, entendendo que a mulher é o vaso mais frágil, honrando-as como co-herdeiras do dom da vida, para que não sejam interrompidas vossas orações.
Vosotros maridos, semejantemente, habitad con ellas según ciencia, dando honor á la mujer como á vaso más frágil, y como á herederas juntamente de la gracia de la vida; para que vuestras oraciones no sean impedidas.
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

não pagueis mal por mal ou insulto por insulto; mas, pelo contrário, abençoai, porque para isso fostes chamados, a fim de receberdes a bênção como herança.
No volviendo mal por mal, ni maldición por maldición, sino antes por el contrario, bendiciendo; sabiendo que vosotros sois llamados para que poseáis bendición en herencia.
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

Aquele que quer amar a vida e ver dias bons deve refrear a sua língua do mal e seus lábios de falar enganosamente.

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Afastai-vos do mal e fazei o bem. Procurai a paz e empenhai-vos por alcançá-la.
Apártase del mal, y haga bien; busque la paz, y sígala.
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

Os olhos do Senhor contemplam os justos e Seus ouvidos ouvem seus pedidos; mas o rosto do Senhor é contra os que fazem o mal.
Porque los ojos del Señor están sobre los justos, y sus oídos atentos á sus oraciones: pero el rostro del Señor está sobre aquellos que hacen mal.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Quem vos prejudicará, se fordes zelosos do bem?
¿Y quién es aquel que os podrá dañar, si vosotros seguís el bien?
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
Now who will harm you if you become imitators of that which is good?
Porém, se sofrerdes por causa da justiça, sereis bem-aventurados. Não temais suas ameaças, nem fiqueis alarmados.
Mas también si alguna cosa padecéis por hacer bien, sois bienaventurados. Por tanto, no temáis por el temor de ellos, ni seáis turbados;
But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”
Antes, santificai a Cristo, como Senhor, em vossos corações, sempre prontos para responder a todos os que vos perguntarem a razão da vossa confiança em Deus.
Sino santificad al Señor Dios en vuestros corazones, y estad siempre aparejados para responder con mansedumbre y reverencia á cada uno que os demande razón de la esperanza que hay en vosotros:

Fazei isto com mansidão e respeito, tendo boa consciência, a fim de que as pessoas que caluniam e insultam a vossa boa conduta em Cristo, fiquem envergonhadas;
Teniendo buena conciencia, para que en lo que murmuran de vosotros como de malhechores, sean confundidos los que blasfeman vuestra buena conversación en Cristo.
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
having a good conscience. Thus, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good way of life in Christ.
pois é melhor sofrer fazendo o bem, se esta for a vontade de Deus, do que fazendo o mal.
Porque mejor es que padezcáis haciendo bien, si la voluntad de Dios así lo quiere, que haciendo mal.
For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
For it is better, if it is God’s will, that you suffer for doing what is right than for doing evil.
Porque Cristo também sofreu, pelos pecados, uma única vez. Aquele que é justo sofreu pelos injustos, para vos levar a Deus. Ele foi morto na carne, mas ressuscitou no Espírito.

Pelo Espírito foi e proclamou aos espíritos em prisão,

Isso, prefigurando o batismo, agora também vos salva, não pela remoção da impureza da carne, mas pela promessa de uma boa consciência para com Deus, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo,

que subiu ao céu e está à direita de Deus, a Quem devem se submeter anjos, autoridades e poderes.
El cual está á la diestra de Dios, habiendo subido al cielo; estando á él sujetos los ángeles, y las potestades, y virtudes.
Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
