Car c’est aussi pour cela qu’il a été évangélisé aux morts, afin qu’ils fussent jugés selon les hommes en la chair, et qu’ils vécussent selon Dieu dans l’esprit.

Porque por esto también ha sido predicado el evangelio á los muertos; para que sean juzgados en carne según los hombres, y vivan en espíritu según Dios.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

For to this end the Good News was preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed as men in the flesh, but live as to God in the spirit.
