Puis donc que le Christ a souffert †pour nous en la chair, armez-vous, vous aussi, de la même pensée, savoir, que celui qui a souffert dans la chair a rompu avec le péché,

PUES que Cristo ha padecido por nosotros en la carne, vosotros también estad armados del mismo pensamiento: que el que ha padecido en la carne, cesó de pecado;

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

pour vivre, pendant le temps qu'il lui reste à passer dans la chair, non plus selon les convoitises des hommes, mais selon la volonté de Dieu.

Para que ya el tiempo que queda en carne, viva, no á las concupiscencias de los hombres, sino á la voluntad de Dios.

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

C'est bien assez d'avoir fait autrefois la volonté des païens, en vivant dans le désordre, les convoitises, l'ivrognerie, les orgies, les excès de boisson et le culte criminel des idoles.

Porque nos debe bastar que el tiempo pasado de nuestra vida hayamos hecho la voluntad de los Gentiles, cuando conversábamos en lascivias, en concupiscencias, en embriagueces, en glotonerías, en banquetes, y en abominables idolatrías.

For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

Ils s'étonnent maintenant que vous ne couriez pas avec eux dans le même débordement de débauches ; et ils se répandent en injures.

En lo cual les parece cosa extraña que vosotros no corráis con ellos en el mismo desenfrenamiento de disolución, ultrajándoos:

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you.

Mais ils rendront compte à celui qui est prêt à juger les vivants et les morts.

Los cuales darán cuenta al que está aparejado para juzgar los vivos y los muertos.

Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

They will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

C'est pour cela que l'Évangile a été aussi annoncé aux morts, afin que, condamnés, il est vrai, selon les hommes dans la chair, ils vivent selon Dieu dans l'esprit.

Porque por esto también ha sido predicado el evangelio á los muertos; para que sean juzgados en carne según los hombres, y vivan en espíritu según Dios.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

For to this end the Good News was preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed as men in the flesh, but live as to God in the spirit.

Or la fin de toutes choses est proche. Soyez donc prudents et sobres pour vaquer à la prière.

Mas el fin de todas las cosas se acerca: sed pues templados, y velad en oración.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.

Mais surtout ayez un ardent amour les uns pour les autres ; car l'amour couvre une multitude de péchés.

Y sobre todo, tened entre vosotros ferviente caridad; porque la caridad cubrirá multitud de pecados.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Exercez entre vous l'hospitalité sans murmurer.

Hospedaos los unos á los otros sin murmuraciones.

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.

Que chacun mette au service des autres le don qu'il a reçu comme de bons dispensateurs de la grâce de Dieu, laquelle est variée. Si quelqu'un parle, que ce soit selon les oracles de Dieu ;

Cada uno según el don que ha recibido, adminístrelo á los otros, como buenos dispensadores de las diferentes gracias de Dios.

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

si quelqu'un exerce un ministère, qu'il le fasse comme par la vertu que Dieu donne, afin qu'en toutes choses Dieu soit glorifié par Jésus-Christ, à qui appartiennent la gloire et la puissance aux siècles des siècles. Amen !

Si alguno habla, hable conforme á las palabras de Dios; si alguno ministra, ministre conforme á la virtud que Dios suministra: para que en todas cosas sea Dios glorificado por Jesucristo, al cual es gloria é imperio para siempre jamás. Amén.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Bien-aimés, ne soyez point surpris de l'incendie qui s'est allumé au milieu de vous pour vous éprouver, comme s'il vous arrivait quelque chose d'extraordinaire.

Carísimos, no os maravilléis cuando sois examinados por fuego, lo cual se hace para vuestra prueba, como si alguna cosa peregrina os aconteciese;

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.

Mais, dans la mesure où vous avez part aux souffrances du Christ, réjouissez-vous, afin que, lorsque sa gloire sera manifestée, vous soyez aussi dans la joie et l'allégresse.

Antes bien gozaos en que sois participantes de las aflicciones de Cristo; para que también en la revelación de su gloria os gocéis en triunfo.

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.

Si vous êtes outragés pour le nom du Christ, heureux êtes-vous, parce que l'Esprit de gloire (et de puissance), l'Esprit de Dieu repose sur vous.

Si sois vituperados en el nombre de Cristo, sois bienaventurados; porque la gloria y el Espíritu de Dios reposan sobre vosotros. Cierto, según ellos, él es blasfemado, mas según vosotros es glorificado.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

Que nul d'entre vous ne souffre comme meurtrier, comme voleur ou malfaiteur, ou comme avide du bien d'autrui.

Así que, ninguno de vosotros padezca como homicida, ó ladrón, ó malhechor, ó por meterse en negocios ajenos.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men’s matters.

Mais s'il souffre comme chrétien, qu'il n'en ait pas honte ; plutôt, qu'il glorifie Dieu pour ce même nom.

Pero si alguno padece como Cristiano, no se avergüence; antes glorifique á Dios en esta parte.

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

But if one of you suffers for being a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this matter.

Car voici le temps où le jugement va commencer par la maison de Dieu. Et s'il commence par nous, quelle sera la fin de ceux qui n'obéissent pas à l'Evangile de Dieu ?

Porque es tiempo de que el juicio comience de la casa de Dios: y si primero comienza por nosotros, ¿qué será el fin de aquellos que no obedecen al evangelio de Dios?

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who don’t obey the Good News of God?

Et " si le juste est sauvé avec peine, que deviendra l'impie et le pécheur ? "

Y si el justo con dificultad se salva, ¿á dónde aparecerá el infiel y el pecador?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?”

Que ceux qui souffrent selon la volonté de Dieu, lui confient leurs âmes comme au Créateur fidèle, en pratiquant le bien.

Y por eso los que son afligidos según la voluntad de Dios, encomiéndenle sus almas, como á fiel Criador, haciendo bien.

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.
