Da nun Christus †für uns im Fleisch gelitten hat, so waffnet auch ihr euch mit demselben Sinn; denn wer im Fleisch gelitten hat, ruht von der Sünde,

PUES que Cristo ha padecido por nosotros en la carne, vosotros también estad armados del mismo pensamiento: que el que ha padecido en la carne, cesó de pecado;

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

um die im Fleisch noch übrige Zeit nicht mehr den Lüsten der Menschen, sondern dem Willen Gottes zu leben.

Para que ya el tiempo que queda en carne, viva, no á las concupiscencias de los hombres, sino á la voluntad de Dios.

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

Denn die vergangene Zeit ist †uns genug, den Willen der Nationen vollbracht zu haben, indem wir wandelten in Ausschweifungen, Lüsten, Trunkenheit, Festgelagen, Trinkgelagen und frevelhaften Götzendienereien;

Porque nos debe bastar que el tiempo pasado de nuestra vida hayamos hecho la voluntad de los Gentiles, cuando conversábamos en lascivias, en concupiscencias, en embriagueces, en glotonerías, en banquetes, y en abominables idolatrías.

For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

wobei es sie befremdet, dass ihr nicht mitlauft zu demselben Treiben der Ausschweifung, und lästern euch,

En lo cual les parece cosa extraña que vosotros no corráis con ellos en el mismo desenfrenamiento de disolución, ultrajándoos:

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you.

die dem Rechenschaft geben werden, der bereit ist, Lebendige und Tote zu richten.

Los cuales darán cuenta al que está aparejado para juzgar los vivos y los muertos.

Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

They will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

Denn dazu ist auch den Toten gute Botschaft verkündigt worden, damit sie gerichtet werden möchten dem Menschen gemäß nachdem Fleisch, aber leben möchten Gott gemäß nachdem Geist.

Porque por esto también ha sido predicado el evangelio á los muertos; para que sean juzgados en carne según los hombres, y vivan en espíritu según Dios.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

For to this end the Good News was preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed as men in the flesh, but live as to God in the spirit.

Es ist aber nahe gekommen das Ende aller Dinge. Seid nun besonnen und seid nüchtern zum Gebet.

Mas el fin de todas las cosas se acerca: sed pues templados, y velad en oración.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.

Vor allen Dingen aber habt untereinander eine anhaltende Liebe, denn die Liebe bedeckt eine Menge von Sünden.

Y sobre todo, tened entre vosotros ferviente caridad; porque la caridad cubrirá multitud de pecados.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Seid gastfrei gegeneinander ohne Murren.

Hospedaos los unos á los otros sin murmuraciones.

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.

Je nachdem jeder eine Gnadengabe empfangen hat, dient einander damit als gute Verwalter der vielfältigen Gnade Gottes.

Cada uno según el don que ha recibido, adminístrelo á los otros, como buenos dispensadores de las diferentes gracias de Dios.

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

Wenn jemand redet, so rede er als Aussprüche Gottes; wenn jemand dient, so sei es als aus der Kraft, die Gott darreicht, damit in allem Gott verherrlicht werde durch Jesus Christus, dem die Herrlichkeit ist und die Macht von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit. Amen.

Si alguno habla, hable conforme á las palabras de Dios; si alguno ministra, ministre conforme á la virtud que Dios suministra: para que en todas cosas sea Dios glorificado por Jesucristo, al cual es gloria é imperio para siempre jamás. Amén.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Geliebte, lasst euch das Feuer der Verfolgung unter euch, das euch zur Versuchung geschieht, nicht befremden, als begegne euch etwas Fremdes;

Carísimos, no os maravilléis cuando sois examinados por fuego, lo cual se hace para vuestra prueba, como si alguna cosa peregrina os aconteciese;

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.

sondern insoweit ihr der Leiden des Christus teilhaftig seid, freut euch, damit ihr auch in der Offenbarung seiner Herrlichkeit mit Frohlocken euch freut.

Antes bien gozaos en que sois participantes de las aflicciones de Cristo; para que también en la revelación de su gloria os gocéis en triunfo.

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.

Wenn ihr im Namen Christi geschmäht werdet, glückselig seid ihr! Denn der Geist der Herrlichkeit und der Geist Gottes ruht auf euch. †Bei ihnen freilich wird er verlästert, bei euch aber wird er verherrlicht.

Si sois vituperados en el nombre de Cristo, sois bienaventurados; porque la gloria y el Espíritu de Dios reposan sobre vosotros. Cierto, según ellos, él es blasfemado, mas según vosotros es glorificado.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.

Dass doch niemand von euch leide als Mörder oder Dieb oder Übeltäter oder als einer, der sich in fremde Sachen mischt;

Así que, ninguno de vosotros padezca como homicida, ó ladrón, ó malhechor, ó por meterse en negocios ajenos.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men’s matters.

wenn aber als Christ, so schäme er sich nicht, sondern verherrliche Gott in diesem Namen.

Pero si alguno padece como Cristiano, no se avergüence; antes glorifique á Dios en esta parte.

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

But if one of you suffers for being a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this matter.

Denn die Zeit ist gekommen, dass das Gericht anfange bei dem Haus Gottes; wenn aber zuerst bei uns, was wird das Ende derer sein, die dem Evangelium Gottes nicht gehorchen!

Porque es tiempo de que el juicio comience de la casa de Dios: y si primero comienza por nosotros, ¿qué será el fin de aquellos que no obedecen al evangelio de Dios?

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins first with us, what will happen to those who don’t obey the Good News of God?

Und wenn der Gerechte mit Not errettet wird, wo will der Gottlose und Sünder erscheinen?

Y si el justo con dificultad se salva, ¿á dónde aparecerá el infiel y el pecador?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?”

Daher sollen auch die, die nach dem Willen Gottes leiden, einem treuen Schöpfer ihre Seelen befehlen im Gutestun.

Y por eso los que son afligidos según la voluntad de Dios, encomiéndenle sus almas, como á fiel Criador, haciendo bien.

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.
